Plus Link having to run off and save the world before you even see the first location, that would probably also count against him.

I'd say Ganondorf. He would also explain how he would conquer and rename everything and show us some nice firework with his Triforce of power. Also he could turn into a big pig to transport you quickly and avoid trafic (or just step on it).

My 2nd choice would be Zelda from Skyward Sword just after discovering there is something below her floating island. Cute, crazy and completely lost would make a really fun guide.

I agree Isabelle is a perfect choice. She's friendly, adorable and informative.

I'm fine with Isabelle, her excitement is infectious and she seems to love community and town things so she'd be great as a sightseeing guide. BotW Zelda could make a good pick as well since she gets really excited by nature and science though I could rather imagine her being a guide for forest tours and the like.

Isabelle is definitely the best choice here. Although, I am left wondering why Undertale was even a choice when they aren't even Nintendo characters.

Also, Navi would be the most annoying tour guide.

I would choose the Impa from Hyrule Warriors

Most have gone over why Link wouldn't be a good one, But I feel the same for Kirby and Anna.
Aside from also not having a vocabulary, Kirby would just get distracted often like the child he is. Meanwhile Anna would try to swindle everyone out of more money (merchandise, tour expansions, etc.)

Isabelle's a perfect choice, though if I had to suggest another I'd totally travel with Professor Oak as a guide. Or Dex-ter if you converted him into a phone app.
