@CaleBoi25 New update makes the Switch2 so stable not even Ubisoft games can crash it....

why pay a steep price for GKC that you still have to download when the digital version is oftentimes (a bit) cheaper. I've never been a digital release guy but seriously considering buying that 1TB card as soon as it drops a bit in price.

I also would love it if some game companies could learn to reduce the bloat in their file sizes. Some games do not have to be 60-70 GB in size and still run like sh*t.

@Ogbert true, but gamekey cards also highlight the main problem that SW2 still has, storage. This will get better once larger SD-cards become available but it remains a valid criticism. If you are going to use a format (gkc so basically digital storage) that demands large storage space, at least provide a decent option. I'm not a fan of switching SD-cards. Why not give the option to add SDD-drive in docked mode with an extension of their virtual cards system so users can swap stored games without having to constantly download them again when storage on SW2 becomes sparse.

@Liam_Doolan i'd love it even more if we would get the Marvel - Arc sys fighter for Switch 2 too. It looks great.

@carlos82 blue shell exists not to benefit another player, it exist solely becauses the devs have a profound knowledge of the human psyche, specifically the pettiness lurking in players minds. @JohnnyMind true, when in first place any item can become annoying when you get spammed continuously. Also it teaches you to always have a boost or jump item ready to try to evade that blasted blue b*stard.

@Olliemar28 currently the switch2 has not enough storage space to buy many Keycard or full on digital games. imo this problem will be alleviated when bigger sd ex cards become available (become cheaper. Or, if Nintendo would expand on the virtual card gimmick and allow external drives for the sw2. Then people could just buy whatever they want and pick the games they want to store on the switch when going handheld.

@Olliemar28 i just hope this does not mean that (some) publishers will drop native 1080p resolution as a standard in favor of AI upscaling. As for as i read this upscaling was only for handheldmode there is no mention of upscaling from 1080p to higher resolutions in docked mode.

@Olliemar28 Oooh this has potential. It would be nice to have an rpg in the veins of The Witcher or Cyberpunk 2077 but in the star wars universe. A Mandalorian game perhaps or a more general rpg like Divinity: Original Sin where we get the possibility to star wars classes, as in Mandalorion, Jedi, Sith, The Empire, The Federation, Smuggler (Han Solo like, because that's a quintessential rogue) etc.
There are currently just not enough good new Star Wars games.

@Olliemar28 Great news, hopefully this means they will bring the rest of DQ-series over to Switch 2. And if miracles do happen, maybe this means a slight chance for a release of DQ10 online on Switch2 outside of Japan?

@Liam_Doolan I'm not that interested in the new cases and they will more than likely take up more space. I am curious about the cartridges themselves. Is there any hope that Nintendo will be using bigger cartridges? As in more storage, not size. It would be nice if new game collections would actually all fit on the cartridge instead of having to dowload 1 or more of the games.

They have tons of games that they coould port, remake, continue but all they focus on is sonic and Persona. Do not get me wrong, i love Atlus games but something else would be nice

@Qwertyninty i was once a big fan but they have sorely disappointed me in recent years by only focussing on a couple of franchises like sonic. Also the excuses for certain games not releasing on Switch have been ridiculous.

They have/had such an expansive library of IP's that they are doing nothing with. It's infuriating.

@dartmonkey They are all good but i would love if all them could be (re)released on or remade for Switch. I would already be happy with a collection of the missing ones with updated graphics and functionality (IX !). And ofcourse release in the west online/offline DQX.

@Liam_Doolan it sucks for her but i find her argument that she is solely responsible for the fame of Bayonetta at bit much. She probabley has done a great job and many fans will love her work but not everyone. I mean, i have played every Bayonetta game with the japanese voices because i liked that voice actor better, still love every Bayonetta game nonetheless. I suppose this also applies to all other non-english speaking fans that love the games but use another voiceover than the english.

@MathGeekDave I keep hoping that Square will see the light of reason and release both (online and offline) to the West but i will not hold my breath. Same for a decent port or remake of DQ 3-9.

@Olliemar28 I like the Japanese list . It would be awesome if they could add at least popful and Lunar to Western release.
What would be even better is if segacd and hopefully saturn library would be added to Nintendo online or as a collection in shop. Come on Sega, take our money, just release them online.

@Shepdawg1 Yes, and everytime they've pretty much ignored us and given Switch owners scraps compared to other consoles. Yes we got SMTV, after years of waiting, and Persona 5 Strikers. We'll maybe finally be getting P4 Golden, a game that is literally a decade old.
I don't mind ports for Switch, some i even love but i hate the fact that we always seem to have to beg for them.
Yes the switch is underpowered compared to PS5 etc., you know what else the switch is? A massively succesful console that deserves better support than it is currently getting from some companies.

@anoyonmus The article is not wrong, just incomplete. There are still many RPGs that deserve to be ported or remade for Switch. For example I have most DQ-games on my 3ds but I would love a decent DQ collection for the Switch. How about a remake of Phantasy Star 1-4 ? How about Panzer Dragoon Saga, Dragon Force, Shining Force (1-3), Lunar, Skies of Arcadia, Super Mario RPG, Pier Solar HD, Blood Omen - Legacy of Kain, even Soul Reaver, the list a good RPGs that could be brought back on Switch is long and varied.

@blububbles_ Fat chance, Westbound DQ fans have been clamoring for a localisation of DQ X for almost a decade now, with little result. Although DQ has had some succes in the West and online gaming remains popular, Square just can't be bothered it seems.

Still hoping for some new DQ ports for Switch as well as a localisation of DQ X online and/or offline. (งツ)ว

@Heavyarms55 Because they are 'backed' by Sega, and Sega regularly makes questionable choices when it comes to Nintendo . I don't know what happened but to me it seems that Sega has a blood feud with Nintendo and would rather burn itself to the ground rather than release certain games and/or franchises on the Switch.

@BanjoPickles They coud at least have tried to port GTA 5. We're not even asking for GTA Online.

@TheAwesomeBowser I'm getting old, so old that articles like this seem like old news to me. I've been happily gaming since the '80s and remember the time in the '90s they claimed that shooters like doom and quake were killing simulators and that anyone who played them would end up killing in real life, same in '00s when GTA came out, and the COD and PUBG and even Fortnite. And you know what ? Although my patience has mightily been tested by numerous idiots i've still to start a shooting spree in real life.
Games are an "addiction" in the same way as TV and board games and books before them. All are time-consuming but not automatically an addiction. If those are, then so is watching sports because at least there a connection can be made between excessive supporting and violence.

@CharlieGirl But that's the thing, they are not hacked. They are generated, normally by the game, the device just does all the grinding for you.

There is however a clear difference between this and Fortnite mode which is clearly a cheatmode that gives unfair advantage.

@anoyonmus Let's be honest, if there are no changes to the engine not even small performance boost, then they could have just as easily just released this as DLC or a year pass, because that is what this is an update about the teams and rosters.
I already own a previous version and am not an avid fan of certain players, so i don't care about actualised rosters and such. I can still play a quick game without having to shell out for this 'crapacy' edition each year.
Hard pass for me.

Still holding out hope for a "new" Mario Strikers game or the Inazuma games to ever materialise on Switch

@iuli as Nintendo fan that seems like a relatively short period. Remenber we've been and still are waiting for some games that have been announce several years ago (Bayonetta, Metroid, etc). As a DQ fa, i'm still waiting on a western release for DQ 10 MMO or the ports of DQ 4-9 on Switch.
I mean if patience is a virtue most Nintie fans have passed that hurdle and will reach the gates of Heaven without problem

@Miyamotosan i'd rather have DQ10 or Phantasy Star online since they already are available for Switch but they can't be bothered to release them outside Japan.

@zzzyzxroad why only Dreamcast ? Remake of Saturn IP's would be lovely. Also full arcade ports would be nice. Sega has some nice current arcade games that i would love to play at home.

@Raccoonius What we should be complaining about is EA still abusing Switch owners with higher prices than other releases. I've resigned myself to paying more for physical releases because of the cartridge format but full price for (digital release of) a game that cost 20$ on PS4 (physical) ?

@SuperCharlie78 Yeah welln it's a bit like having a itch. At first it is barely noticeable but then you start paying attention to it and scratching it. And the more you scratch the more it itches.
Waiting for a direct once people start posting dates is basically the same...

@Rayquaza2510 same here. I got them and soon afterwards I got a conversation with an NPC about missing pokemon who makes a specific noise, so i thought the two were connected. I have been looking how to use the earbuds to find that bloody pokemon and now it turns out that is not even a quest !

@astrofan1993 Much the same here, it's a pokemon game, was hoping for something grand but was not holding my breath.

To be fair, I was more excited by the commercial they've been using (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMjKiC1l_yA) to promote Pokemon S&S than the actual game. It would haven been interesting if the game had been that mingling of graphics.
Oh well, maybe we'll get a (3ds)-app fo switch to and then we'll get all of the previous games.

@LaytonPuzzle27 i'd rather have that Shin Megami Tensei game they've been baiting us with since the release of the Switch. I know development can be slow for many reasons, but it has been almost 3 years. It is reaching vaporware levels. We've seen nothing except those few trailers without any gameplay whatsoever.

Does anyone else have a problem starting Breath of Fire ? Started a new game and got to options (text speed, audio, controlkeys) but i can't get passed it ! Start button does nothing and any other just cancels and goes back to startmenu.

@Angelic_Lapras_King I would be gratefull for a collection of DQ 1-9 on my Switch but I would love a remake /remaster of the first 6.

I would be happy with a straight port of DQ 7-9 as is, because come on they are fantastic the way they are. If only DQ9 would be released with online capability....

@Liam_Doolan they can keep ESO if Nintendo just can get Square to release DQ10 in the West. I'd rather spend money playing DQ online

@Anti-Matter this is Ninty we're speaking of. It will get there but it might takes some iterations. Look at the DS how many different versions have we gotten before the slightly more powerful 3DSXL?
