i remember growing up when you had so many video games magazines you had egm game pro nintendo power videogames and computer entertainment and so many others. those were the days..

weird how first party switch 2 games are so small compared to to third party and it is more then just nintendo optimizing there own games..it's like nintendo doing what they did with switch 1 game sit is there style not relying on big graphics textures massive music..

cyberpunk on ps5 is 56 gigs so it can fit on a 64 gig cart..

physical collecting have always been important to many switch fans me included.. since i am a rpg fan most of my games are third party and very few third party switch 2 games will have the game on a cart..

i do not see many people taking this offer i am keeping my switch 1..

@LastFootnote you can always get a ps if you do not have one..

well at least i can find solace in the many switch 1 physical games i have on my radar that i have not gotten my hands on yet..

is it true that only 32 gb and 64 gb cart sizes are the only options for switch 2 i mean some third party games are small like bravely default hd 11 gigs yet it is a key card game..maybe that is why square enix did not make it strictly native because of the more expensive 32 gig cart..

i will be all in for these games on switch 2 as long as they are not key cards..

textures voice acting switch 1were not use to these higher quality third party games that came over to ps and xbox and because of that and limited capacity on carts most will be either a digital or key card releasethe price you pay for progress.

i'm in no rush with all the bad news about key cards i will wait and see when it comes to switch 2 i am a physical game collector i want all the data on the card i do not like the key card news..

i think most of the third party switch 2 games will be key cards cyberpunk is the exception even bravely default 11 gigs and all is a key card game..

@nhSnork i do not think third party companies will even bother with compression for switch 2 why should they. they will just port games over to switch 2 and hope people buy these games digitally..

switch 2 will get third party games that did not come to switch 2.. some of these games file size might be more then the 256 gig storage of switch 2 lol..

@FishyS can u sell them or can you buy delisted key cards and be able to download such a game ?

this is nintendo fault since they came up with the idea of key cards..

since i am mostly a third party game enthusiastic this will hurt..me since i prefer rpg games over any other genre..

@FishyS only if the game has not been delisted if it has your game key card would be worthless to sell

i do not think for a second steam deck fans care about the switch they cater to different games.

steam deck has access to a lot more games then the switch.. that alone is a plus in steam deck favor..

nintendo should be frustrated look at all the great games on the ps5 and xbox x these days monster hunter wilds clair obscor could be game of the year.. oblivion remastered..

nintendo has fumbled the messaging about switch 2 in almost every possible way..

@Stegiand exactly what i am thinking when the new xbox console and ps6 comes out in 3 years switch 2 will be outdated and third party ports will once again be skipping switch 2 like they did with switch 1..

wow you have to take out a loan to get a switch 2 and it's accessories..

i gave the direct a 5 i expected more this direct convinced me i am not paying 80 for a brand new game will look to find a used cheaper copy ..

did not live up to my expectations..

i am all for retro game collections we need even more of them..

i recently bought tokyo xanadu ex which is on the list..

ps4 games still look very beautiful even by 2025 standards and switch 2 being more powerful then the ps4 will run third party games very nicely.. in 2 to 3 years maybe not as well..

@GADG3Tx87 dont really listen to yongyea anymore and if you really pay attention to dreamcast guy he is so negative in almost every video about sony..

@GADG3Tx87 i have no issue with switch 2 console price it's the price of first party games i am worried about considering these are not huge budget games like you will often find on sony consoles no 200 million dollar games..

i do not plan on buying switch 2 versions of games i already own on switch 1 just upgrade them if a upgrade is available..

most of my games i play are third party. so this is not good..i want the entire main game on the cart.

i can see what he is saying virtually all of those third party games for switch 2 have been on either sony or xbox consoles years ago lol..

i can understand if sony went to 80 dollars for first party games i mean quite a few sony games cost over 200 million to make god of war ragnarok horizon forbidden west spiderman 2 the last of us part 2 future games wolverine and spiderman 3 will cost over 300 million to make just a guess show much you think mario kart for switch 2 cost to make?

hogwarts for switch 2 will be the ps5 port so switch 1 version of hogwarts will not be upgraded i think..

i played the original games and plan on getting these games...game deserves a 8 score..

as much as i do not like the price i probably have to bite my lip and get it for 80 dollars.. physical collector always..

the base ps5 is on sale at best buy.. you could even get a astrobot throw in game with both the digital and physical version. physical cost the same as switch 2 while the digital is listed at 399 dollars...
