Its flashy, but the demo was very disappointing
I want to like it, but is very underwhelming in every way

I barely ever get ports/remakes (Original had to age badly, new has lots of improvements or tons of additional content or I lost access to original)
But I don't blame them for lack of new content
I don't believe they take up production budget/time/people, rather they are there to patch out holes while we wait for "new" content

Yes, but only give the budget to the indies that are not stuck replicating an old game

720p is good enough for 7 in screen
I am most concerned about getting improved performance on currently struggling games
The Switch 2 coming 3 or 4 yrs from now is more than welcome to have "exclusive" games since it will be considered a next-gen console and backward compatibility to current Switch will be cherry on top!

The image was definitely blurrier on the XL

Any extra power should go towards enhancing the performance of games that are struggling to run properly on the current Switch.
We can get new ports with a backwards compatible Switch 2.

No problem, I'm biased because I want you to get into the franchise
Disgaea 5 is infamous as the "tutorial" game
In other words, the main story is to get you acclimated with the vast amount of systems the series has amassed throughout its history.
The post game, is the "real" game.
The main story boss is lv 120 ish if I remember correctly and it can be beat at 50 hrs
The most powerful superboss will require you to transmigrate a couple of characters at lv 9999 a few times and over 200 hrs
Disgaea games are always an amazing value when it comes to hours played and price paid
Disgaea 1 has, arguably, the best story, but most archaic system (old school grinding)
If you want something closer to FE, and like Advance Wars, I recommend Wargroove
Triangle Project, currently in development, seems to be like Final Fantasy Tactics

FE is far more exact (1 of the reasons why I hate the RNG during lv up) with formulas in regard of strength + weapon - defense = damage
Disgaea has no permadeath, gives you the chance to max out units.
They both have weapon mastery, but Disgaea has way deeper systems, such as throwing, environmental rules through the Geo Effects, item leveling, master-pupil relationship, etc... and Disgaea 5 has the most refined GamePlay systems.
The Story for Disgaea 5 is one of the weakest in the entire series (very generic), but it is still funny and silly. Themes involve demons are capable of love vs medieval times of FE.

I much rather the internal specs be buffed than increase screen size and lower ppi
However, I don't think they are planning on making console itself larger, they can just reduce bezels

300 ppi would be ideal
The Switch is currently at 236, if this report is true, it would make it even worse, despite the better screen technology

The 3D is cool, but the dual screen, stylus, clmashell design and the library are phenomenal. I love this device and the 10,000s of hours of gaming joy it still gives me.
