Since January, when we found out that Japanese mag Famitsu had rated Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny 33/40, we've been starved of news about the upcoming turn-based tactical RPG. Thanks to the New Game Plus Expo, an online showcase that took place earlier today, we now finally have a release date: the 29th of June, 2021.

The above trailer has Nippon Ichi Software President Sohei Niikawa (dressed as a Prinny) detailing the game's success in both Japan and the west - and that he's taking fans' opinions into account for Disgaea 7 already.

D6 Limited Edition

For Disgaea's biggest fans, there's even a special, "Unrelenting Edition" release of the game, which comes with the digital soundtrack, art book, and a physical copy of the game on Switch. The slightly fancier "Limited Edition" release comes with a bigger art book, a physical soundtrack, a pin set, a cloth poster, a steelbook case and a collector's box, as well as the game.

The Unrelenting Edition costs $59.99 plus shipping, and the Limited Edition costs $99.99 plus shipping. Both can be pre-ordered from the links on the Disgaea website. The digital game can be found (and added to your Wishlist) on the Nintendo eShop.
