Very good advice on breaking into the business. I work in film and television, but I have always wanted to get into that side of the industry. It is more work than people think.

I really did not like the one on the Wii U. And I like everything.

@Browny As a single player game, the rings that come up to cast spells, or use items are not really an issue.

But in a multiplayer game, it does halt game play for your partner(s). I suppose the addition of a quick cast button for magic would make it all flow more naturally, and avoid the need to constantly open the interface.

@Browny You're sick and twisted haha. But there are lots of games people call classics, that I really don't enjoy. Like The Last of Us, so I see where you are coming from. Different strokes, for different folks.

Three player Secret of Mana is probably one of my fondest gaming memories, so the multiplayer aspect does play a huge part in my admiration!

@Browny haha, I don't think I have ever met someone who doesn't appreciate Secret of Mana. My brain doesn't comprehend.

@Browny The GBA remake of SD 1/Final Fantasy Adventure didn't capture the spirit of the original game. The dialogue is horrible.

The remakes on the phones are literally trash. Digital trash. New doesn't always mean better, or superior.

I will take the originals any day.

I was thinking about grabbing the PS4 version, but I talked myself out of it because of the subscription fee. If it came to Switch, no pep talk in the world could talk me out of buying it.

I started my career in reality television, and everything Mr. Mitchell is saying is 100% accurate. Nearly every documentary and "reality" television show is fabricated. The truth is boring, and we crave drama.

Wow. I am buying this game.

I preordered this after the Treehouse demonstration. They just keep giving me reasons to pick up my 3DS.

When the system is finally retired, it is going to have a very impressive library of games.

I hope it does, but I doubt it.

Here are my opinions, and if you don't like them you have the mind of a child: The Last of Us is overrated, just like Uncharted. (If I wanted to watch a movie, I would go catch a movie) After Breath of the Wild, I sold my copy of Horizon Zero Dawn, like everyone should. The PS4 looks like a meatblock. The Switch has superior graphics to the Ps4. Monster Hunter sucks if it isn't on a Nintendo console.

It's weird, I keep going on Playstation websites to have rational discussions about these points, but these babies keep blowing things out of proportion? I don't get it. Is it possible they don't give a s#*% about my opinion? No. That can't be. I'm great.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE It does seem short, but in comparison, the first time I beat FF6 it took me around 25 hours. Games like this always have stuff (legendary gear, secrets, unlocks) that will push the time limit well beyond what is suggested.

I can't believe they have not continued the Mega Man/Mega Man X games, forget Monster Hunter. I lost faith in these guys a long time ago.

@Totaldude911 I don't recall Nintendo ever claiming the Switch was a successor to the 3ds. People more or less assumed that it was because of the nature of the Switch, and its portability. They are riding the 3ds gravy train for as long as they can.

@Xaessya I would kill for Divinity Original Sin and its sequel on the Switch! I would actually be able to read the text in portable mode, instead of sitting 1 inch from my tv screen like the ps4.

Stability.

I played alot of Destiny and The Division. Other then that, my PS4 has become an expensive Netflix machine.

I feel like these games are not being made, or withheld from the Switch for reasons beyond our understanding. Something is going on behind the scenes.

They could be gearing up for an E3 reveal, even though holding back the Switch/3ds version would only seem to embitter the Nintendo fanbase.

Or the online services/virtual console streaming services would make those who would buy retro game collections angry when they are all released as a part of said service.

Or Capcom sucks butt.

@wiggleronacid It needs to be on ios. They are missing a big market. Hearthstone cleaned up the market basically unchallenged.

I hope they update the card app. The current one feels dated, and sort of cheap.
Visual and audio updates would do wonders in attracting more players.

@AG_Awesome The Retron 5 can have any NES, SNES, GENESIS, GB, ETC rom on a flash cart to auto load. As close to the interface as the NES mini as you can get I'd say.

As far as input lag, as long as you set up your console/tv settings correct, it is unnoticeable.

I enjoy mine, but with that being said, the original consoles can never be beat as far as quality.

@bezerker99 That was actually issue 17 of Nintendo Power. Their early strat guides were a part of their regular releases haha.

The Bowsers Castle in Mk8 is the best one to date. What a visually impressive course. I also love Rainbow Road (SNES) for time trials

@rjejr I will barf if there is another AC spin off game. ugh. I just want a shiny new AC on the Switch, or even the 3DS.

@JacquesLecornu Yes Jacque....I do. haha. I just like to stick it to the environment. When the Game Gear has eaten another 16 batteries, I toss them out of my car window onto the road.

@Yorumi Gamegear was ahead of its time haha. It devoured batteries with no remorse. Think I still have mine.

@Hikingguy I am a retro collector, and I noticed the prices of just about everything for a Nintendo system insanely go up in price. But that NES mini has created a monster. NES Games that used to be 5 dollars Canadian are like 15 now. I would rather die in a watery grave then pay more than 3 dollars for John Elway's Quarterback.

@Yasume while I agree that Nintendos challenge to keep the ball rolling may be difficult, I have personally met multiple people that said the Switch is their first Nintendo system since the Wii. My mother wants to buy a switch and play Zelda. The last system she bought was the Wii. She thought the Wii U was a game like Wii Fit, "just different somehow" (Exact quote) A lot of the super causals dont even know the Wii U was a thing. When I was in line to buy my Switch, there was a 40 something man that was genuinely excited to purchase his first video game console since the PS1.

I agree that their current line up of games will not look appetizing to a lot of people though. But the people who bought a Wii U have most likely already bought a Switch, so these ports coming out will attract people who have yet to play them. Im not saying that the Switch will achieve Wii like sales numbers. But there is definitely a buzz, and its off to a great start.

TLDR. Valid points, but Switch good!
