@EarthboundBenjy I'm with you. The WiiWare version was the best. It was so cool how you could send your friends a demo version to play with you online.

I pretty much agree with everyone else here. Your enjoyment will depend on how much you love the show. Kind of like the Back to the Future game on the Wii. I personally love both of these games, but they both lack some replay value.

Re: The Plug Will Finally Be Pulled On Miiverse In November

improviser

Miiverse is a place for Nintendo fans to talk about Nintendo games, post Nintendo screen shots, and show Nintendo drawings. There's no place like it. You think my Facebook and Twitter friends want to be bothered by my multiple video game posts everyday? (the answer is no, no they don't)

Re: Gallery: A Look Back At Some Of Miiverse's Craziest And Most Beautiful Moments

improviser

I loved Miiverse, loved the whole idea of it. None of my social media friends want to see my constant posts about video games they have no interest in. Miiverse was a great place for the fans of the game to read your posts and for you to see current comments and drawings about the game you're playing. I thought it was great when they incorporate Miiverse into the actual game (like Splatfests and Mario Maker). This is a shame.

Re: Reggie Fils-Aime Dismisses Threat To Switch From Microsoft's Xbox One X

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Right. I just don't think I'm going to use the portability option on the Switch. In which case, it's not that much more powerful than the Wii U, which has dual screen gaming, free online, a web browser, Netflix/Hulu, and a huge game library.
I love the Wii U. I really think it would have been huge if it wasn't for the crappy marketing (needs a name change). For home counsel gaming, the Wii U seems like the way to go.

Re: Nintendo Download: 11th May (North America)

So sad to see no Wii U section. I guess Darksiders is coming out soon and that's about it. I don't game outside my house much, so a portable Wii U (switch) doesn't appeal to me. Well, I guess it would be a portable Wii U if it had duel screen gaming.

Re: Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

This is the best Mario Kart. Graphics and sound took a huge leap. New 2 people per Kart and they really made it work. Speciality items for all the characters. Not sure why those things didn't carry over to the sequels.

Re: Nintendo Switch Lacks A Web Browser Because It's A "Dedicated Video Game Platform"

improviser

Seems like I'm in the minority on this, but I for one think this is a huge hit to the Switch. I'm not a wealthy man. I don't own a smart phone or even a laptop; but I do have a 15yr old desktop. The only thing I splurge on is my Nintendo hobbie. I loved the Wii U browser and use it daily. I love not having to get off the couch or reach for another device when I want connected to the world. I start the day with checking the weather, news, facebook, and this site and it's off to video games using what I already have in my hand. I often pause a game to look up and bookmark codes or reviews or just facts. Miiverse was great because everyone there was a Nintendo fan, unlike bugging my social media friends with things they don't care about. The Image Share app in the browser was great when you did want to brag on Facebook or Twitter. I personally put an average of 60+ a month on the browser.
And when I'm not playing games or surfing, I watch a great deal of Netflix, Youtube, and Hulu.
I'm who they made the Nintendo Wii U for. Someone who bases their whole household around it. Heck, I'm probably one of the only people who use Wii Fit U/ and meter on a regular basis.
I don't want a game system/computer like Nintendo's competitors, and I'm always proud that Nintendo is all about the games, but if they want to be the light of the living room, then internet options are a must.
But I guess Nintendo isn't really going for that anymore and it's a shame. I'm not interested in taking my home console outside to show my friends. I'm just not into portable gaming. When I'm outside my house, I'm usually doing something; not standing around bored wishing I had video games to play.
I have always been a hardcore Nintendo fan and don't play any other systems. I understand different strokes for different folks, but I think Nintendo might be off-putting fans like me who just want unique, fun video games and not have to buy something else or get off the couch to surf the web or watch TV.

Re: Tank! Tank! Tank!

I love this game. It should be cheaper, but it make the best use of the Wii U camera I've seen and it's simple, exciting, arcade destruction at its' best.

Why the F isn't there a page for Nuke Nukem: Zero Hour?!?! One of the top 5 games on the N64!

Re: NES Remix Pack

I highly recommend buying this for your nostalgia fix before shelling out $60 for a short corded NES mini.

Re: Freedom Planet

Best Sonic game I've ever played! The story was a little dark and hard to follow at times, and there was no need to add the two additional characters (Lilac is clearly the funnest). Terrific game, 9.5/10 from me.

Re: Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg

improviser

I loved this game. Why no sequel? He popped up in Wii Sonic racing, but then not in the Wii U one, even tho it had a Bill Hatcher stage! This and Sonic Adventures 2 really made me think Sega was only going up.

Re: Mario Kart Wii

improviser

I feel like they really dumbed down this Mario Kart. I mean, the Gamecube one had 2 characters per kart and each character had a specialty weapon.

Re: Dead Space: Extraction

improviser

This is hands down the scariest game on the Wii. Don't let the rail shooter aspect off put you; there are lots of options/choices to be made. Great game-play and great horror action.

Re: Bigley's Revenge

I'll probably snatch this one up just because I regret not grabbing Meme Run the few days it was on eShop before being sued off.
