I was not expecting the switch to come close to the ps4 visuals but I was way wrong. Its so close I can hardly tell the difference. What an amazing little piece of tec.

Wish they would re release star fox with normal controls instead of the crap we got. I finished it but I must say with those controls it was a task to keep playing. A couple of adjustments and we have a great game.

This is the kind of games I want on the switch. no need for high end graphics just great rpg's. As long as it continues what the Gameboy started I'm good.

I have the ps3 version but have never opened it. think I will wait for this version. I think the switch is great and powered just right. This is huge graphical jump from my new 3ds. I hope and pray for a final fantasy 6 remake this generation.

@GravyThief I agree with your points. ff6 is in my mind the last really good ff. ff7 was good but the load times and futuristic setting turn me off. I finished it but had to force myself. 4 and 6 are masterpieces.

Looks great but i'm swamped as it is with games I need to finish or even open. I will be a day one switch user but maybe just the Mario game and breath of the wild. I should make a rule "no switch till I beat xenoblade chronicles x". lol

It really looks cool but retro bit makes garbage. I bought the retroduo portable snes and it worked for maybe 6 months. Now when i turn on it just makes a hissing noise. No video or audio. just hissing.

Great little system. I must admit that my avs coming in the mail the day after i bought my mini has stolen all the mini's thunder but still glad to have one. My sisters kids came by and i let them try the mini. I truly thought they would be bored in 2 min but to my surprise they loved it. My sister had to force them to put the controller down. The oldest was loving galaga. I don't even like that game. lol

Man I wish we got final fantasy 3. In the west we only got this game as a ds release years after the original release. I have always wanted to play 2 and 3 in their original forms.

I still have the Nintendo power that had a pic of this. I love Nintendo handhelds. So glad switch is portable.

They designed the avs to look like a vhs player which was all the rage then. I kind of wish they would have stuck to this design maybe minus the wireless controller. I Had a freedom stick in the late 80's and it was wireless and worked well but I think that would have driven the price of the nes up.

Ten dollars is a great price. I will always pay the Nintendo premium. If ten dollars is to much for you then you have bigger problems then buying a Mario game. save that money for food for the family.

As much as I love my wii u I remember launch day when I was done my update and I finally started the system I thought to myself, " this is a disaster". After many of updates the system started to run a little better but never rebounded from the bad press. I hope that Nintendo learned from this disaster and the operating system on the switch is running decent out of the box or we could be in for a short run.

@HenFjo wii u had a great launch it was after that was horrible.

I just looked through my gamecube collection and my soulcalibur II is not there. I wonder who I lent it to ten years ago. guess I will be buying a new copy. dam

I would love to see all the stuff Nintendo makes that never gets released.

Its a great little system. I liked the HD look so much that I bought a retro usb avs love them both. wish retro usb would make an hd snes and yes I know about the retron 5 because I own one. retron 5 was very disappointing but I can't complain because I owned a retron 3 and knew retron's history for building consoles before I bought my 5.

I thought It was great. A lot of the things you complained about are things that come with retro gaming. I know its no shovel Knight but I was thinking at least a 7. good review tho.

I love how butt hurt the people who say they don't even like Nintendo are about the FR. the one ass clown say's "have fun playing your game at 10 fps" haha. I just don't understand why you would come to a Nintendo site if you don't like them. I'm not an xbox or playstation fan so you know how many times I have been on playstation life or what ever the @^%$# its called. 0 times. Cause as an adult I have better things to do that tell other people why I don't like the product they like. Look at some of these comments. People out to be jerks just for the sake of being jerks. It looks like a feed from xbox live. bunch of little kids pissing on the fire. Don't get me wrong I have issue with the frame rate too if this was launch day. Just seems like some people have an agenda. Not fans just haters.

I still have not played shovel knight. downloaded it on the day it was released and I bought a physical copy in the bargain bin at wallmart. Think I will give it a go this weekend. I love the retro look and almost ducktails like gameplay. Maybe next weekend my retrousb avs came in.

I just ordered one. super pumped to try it out. I have an old sony vega wide screen that is one of the last bulb tvs. It has an hdmi out. I wonder if the Zapper would work.

Great game horrible load times. Don't think this will sell to well considering its an old game.

I hope its a remake of Mario 64 . I don't think it would take much to make that game look even better than it already does. I also hold out hope that square enix and Nintendo can partner up and do a remake of final fantasy 6. Please!

I think it will be a new rayman. They know rayman sells on Nintendo systems and rayman works so good on the go. Hope im right.

I guess with the NS coming soon we get nothing for the forgotten platforms. You would think with the dip in software they would be making up for it with downloadable content. did I buy a new 3ds for nothing. Give me more snes games! Where are final fantasy 4 and 6. Dammit!

I don't understand people who say they hate something yet take the time out of their day to read and comment on the subject. I do not like Microsoft so I don't read articles about their products or comment. Why if a person hates something so much would they take the time out of their day to read and comment. I realize that many of them are little kids trying to troll but get a life.

@Tempestryke People don't like the fact that the game pauses while the transition takes place. I never found it that annoying but I also have rose tinted nostalgia glasses on when I play this game.

I found minecraft wii u in the bargain bin for 20 Canadian. I have never played so I picked it up. I'm guessing I'm one of the only people out in the wild that has not played minecraft.

I love break out, arkanoid and alleyway so this would be right up my alley. lol

@JaxonH The operating system on the wii u was so horrible when it was first released that millions of buyers were scared off. Now after countless updates it runs fast and is very stable. My first week with my wii u it crashed multiple times but in the last year I don't think it has happened once. So I guess im saying I agree with your statement. lol

@JaxonH I think most people have upgraded by now. I for one was very impressed by the new 3ds. I think if they would have launched originally with these new options the 3ds would be closing in on 80 mil instead of 60 mil sold.

I would have trouble using these. my hands get sore from my new 3ds but not my new 3ds xl so I'm thinking these small pads would not be good for comfort.

I will admit to not giving this game a fair shake because of the controls. I should force myself to sit down and get used to the controls and then give my opinion. I think I might be missing out on a great game because im to stubborn.

I do not understand the hate for this. This game is not for the regular mario fan. There is going to be an NX mario for us so called hard core nintendo fans. From the look of the game the backgrounds look ripped right from new super mario so im sure it was easy to develop so im sure it did not take away from other mario projects. chill out people. Im glad nintendo is going to make a boat load off mobile. more money for nx and future projects.

I could see the 3ds family of systems hitting 70 million in life time sales when all is said and done. I know that when NX is released 3ds will take a large hit but the little guy is still trucking along. I recently upgraded to the new 3ds and it a nice little system. Its too bad that this new 3ds model was not the system released in 2011. I bet nintendo would have sold a lot more if this version of the 3d was in the first 3ds.

A normal pikmin game will not work on a small screen like the new 3ds or would work but would be very hard to see so I like the platforming aspect of the title. I think it looks very similar to lemmings for snes.

You guys need some tissues or something. Last time I checked Nintendo is not forcing you to buy there stuff. I do not always like the stuff that their give away but its free. They do not have to give us anything.

I really want SimCity for snes on my new 3ds. Its such a relaxing game. The music is amazing. Please Nintendo SimCity on new 3ds.

Just picked up my new 3ds Mario edition. Super impressed. The new 3d is wicked. Can you imagine how many 3ds would have been sold had it worked this good at launch.

I think we are going to see more new 3ds exclusives in the future. Everyone thinks that because there are 50 million of the old 3ds that Nintendo won't turn there back on them. 50 million bought and how many of that 50 million are still active are two very different things. With the surge from pokemon go and great sales in japan and the usa this summer the new 3ds has done great. I just recently upgraded to the Mario themed new 3ds and I love it. I just wish Nintendo would have released the new 3ds with all its great upgrades at launch. The new 3d puts the old 3ds to shame.

I just picked up the mario themed new 3ds yesterday. I must say im impressed. think of how good the 3ds would have done if Nintendo would have released the the new version with the extra power, and the 3d that actually works instead of the old one.

I bet Nintendo will release breath of the wild on nx before its released on wii u by at least a month or 2. This will entice wii u owners to get the nx version. I just went to my local wallmart and the Nintendo section was being used to hold there extra xbox crap. There was 4 wii u games and about 20 3ds games. No systems. so sad.

If I had these items I would keep them. Why would anyone want an item that was only for people that attended.

Kind of surprised with the low sales number for star fox. I knew that it was more popular in the west but under 30000 sold. That's really low even for a dying system. They should re release zero for the nx with upgraded visuals and maybe a regular control scheme.
