Im surprised there hasnt been a GTA5 for Switch, especially seeing TakeTwo have been a decent supporter of the Switch and I did think it was because they're busy with 6 and GTA online plus maybe something else but they're just announce GTA5 for PS5! Perhaps Rockstar are the only ones who have a say in this and they're still sour with China Town wars performance plus previous sourness with Nintendo.
Xbox One was the superior console it played all games better than PS4. It had far better services too. XBLA wipred out PSN and Games Pass obliterated PS Now but Sony has the exclusives. Nintendo will never give its exclusives away but Microsoft as given Ori, Lucky and Cuphead.
This isnt going anywhere unless MS wants to share its streaming service on Switch. Which it will, MS are counting on their subscription services more than their consoles.
I cant get hyped for an old last gen game that I own on PC (£4 on sale when I got it) and Wii U (Wii U version is really damn good, the best and £9 used) and I may have doubled dipped to have it on the go for say...£15? But no Ea, you can ***** right off with that price ESPECIALLY when its cheaper on other formats. Wait for a sale.
All-Stars 2: Super Mario Land 1+2 & 64 . Properly done, no NSMB style look for the 2D games just lovely 2D art. If exists then the prototype of the unfinished Virtualboy Mario. Also add 64 DS as a bonus.
All-Stars 3: Sunshine, Galaxy 1&2. Full HD, no half arsed measures. Galaxy 1&2 have option to remove the wiggle stuff and really they can remain in tact other than that and visual upgrade. Sunshine need some stuff ironed out as its not as good as it was back then.
Mario 3d Land and World...wont happen as Mario would want to sell World at full price even though another company would have added 3D Land on it.
New Super Mario All-Stars. All of the NSMB games and this is what NSMBUDX should have been in the first goddamn place.
Wario All-Stars. Mario Land 3: Wario Land, Wario Land 2, Wario Land 4, Wario World and Wario Shake Dimension. The 2D ones have that beautiful look that SD has.
I'd wanted the Land games and Wario more than anything as they're not as talked about as the 3D games. All compilations to have original versions on too. I really doubt Nintendo would do any more All-Star style collections. We had a Kirby one on Wii plus Metroid Trilogy I guess plus a SNES rom on a disc that was Mario All-Stars Wii. Nintendo knows it can just fleece us dry by selling all separately (they did after all sell OoT/MM 3D and then WW and TP full price separately) and probably just put the GB ones on a possible GB app for Online subscribers only.
I'd love for them to go back to the NGPC style games and expand on them. The original series has just been done to death already and got old way before 7 came out.
I've seen a lot of vids and reviews stating the performance of Outer Worlds is pretty bad. Considering it doesnt run that well even on my standard PS4 might be best to pass on it especially for £59.99!!
@Priceless_Spork While Riverbond came out first, its like a Poundland version in comparison.
Oddly, I've very rarely had framerate issues and only once on Soggy Swamp and that was unbearable but still only on that one during my whole playthrough. I did however hate how sometimes I'd just get stuck on a wall and had to restart the mission.
Overall, for the price I really enjoyed what there was...oddly there was zero mining, crafting etc for a game with MINE and CRAFT in the title, it could have separated it from other games of its ilk.
Good price point and I'll happily pay the price for DLC is these missions are of similar length. On the surface it does appear to be Diablo Lite but there is a hidden depth in there and I've gone back to all the missions a few times over as its just so much fun.
New Ghostbusters 2 NES is an excellent game, I wish people focused more on it than the other NES games. We had it over here and its very accessible nowadays due to emulation. The GB one is good but I dont like how zoomed in the gameplay is.
Enjoying Ion Fury, got the PC one a while back but I've gone off keyboard and mouse now. I really cant see why people have problems with regular controls, I cant aim perfectly well with zero issues. I guess thats just this generation of gamers...
As for 30PS...meh, no issues, no lag, all playing well. Having fun.
Last year seemed like slim pickings but it was an amazing line up compared to this year! I know aint great with the world right now but that should only delay games due later in the year and next year. Nintendo has just had Animal Crossing and a Wii port so far and its big holiday games are Mario games released 7+ years ago.
If it wasnt for the great indie scene, I'd only play my Switch for half an hour a day just ticking off i do in AC.
I was done with Streets of Rage 4 the day it came out, was not worth the price at all. It's not a bad game, in fact had it came out 10 years ago I may have liked it more but there are far better fighters on the Switch now.
Gonna play some Stardew, Animal Crossing and go through Resident Evil Revelations 2 which I like more than the recent remakes.
We have enough mediocre platformers as it is thanks. Sites like this should focus on the good ones rather than showcase maybe sequels of meh ones that had their chance back in the day ans rightly failed.
@yuwarite But that was a different version rather than what was released on PC. I really doubt the original could ever run on Switch seeing they couldnt get it to run on those consoles back then.
I think games like Stardew Valley have a lot to do with it too, I tried Animal Crossing back on the Gamecube and other than the NES stuff I had no more interest in it. Stardew taught me how to chill with a game and thus I was open to more games where your goal is to do what you like when you like.
Hopefully its gameplay is the same, I loved these fighters on the NGPC.
I've love it if SNK did some NGPC compilations, the two Metal Slug games were fantastic and were a touch different to other ones. Sonic Pocket Adventure was also excellent.
I got this today (shopto are great at sending games out before release and only cost me £27) and yeah its pretty much what I remembered from RF1 on the DS...its good (so far a 7.5/10) but Stardew Valley has really spoiled me in terms of these types of games. The farming side is lacking, I dont think there is that much more in terms of improvements over the first game, I havent played any others, but its cheap enough and there's a lot of game so far with this.
Surpassing Stardew will be tough but considering that was his first game and he has more experience and a team now I'm sure he can do it.
I have a lot of respect for him, he supported this game for free when he didnt need to, dropped Chucklefish after their shady employment dealings came put and he responds to his fans.
I'm expecting something incredibly bland at the very best. I dont understand why Nintendo would allow this medicore at best studio create a movie on Mario. I also expect Nintendo to be very hands on too which can be a bad thing, come on, Mario games are not known for a good story! Unless of course they go the Mario & Luigi route, and tbh those games havent had a decent story since the 3rd game.
Say what you want about the original Mario movie, it is no way boring or bland! I'd rather have something like that movie than something dull and uninteresting.
@Moroboshi876 Look for Kim Justice. Does a lot of long insights into the gaming industry, mainly focuses on British developers and publishers so covers a lot of stuff that isnt touched upon.
Neat and a good update to boot. I was wondering what Nintendo was doing with this game, the first one had constant updates and I missed getting levels made by great developers that gave you a new character to turn into.
Everything worked out for the best. Sony had no intention in keeping a partnership with Nintendo and were using them to get into the business with less effort. Sony were going to ditch them eventually only this time have the rights to make Mario etc games.
Barone is a magnificant person! The fact that he continues to do significant updates for free after so many years when he doesnt need to is a testiment to how bad big companies are.
I felt like poo today but seeing what else he's adding today and the fact that me and my daughter are gonna get a new lease of life with our favourite game has perked me right up.
It's quite pricey for me, I'm sure you'll get your moneys worth HOWEVER there are games at this price or far cheaper that I have yet to have bought that look like they'll do more for me.
Will wait for a sale.
I would love to see the original arcade Parasol Stars show up on the eShop
Played on Xbone...its just ok. Just like both Yooka Laylee games...just ok.
I do highly recommend Hat in Time though, I was surprised at how good that game was. I was expecting an generic time but I was charmed by its character.
Maybe they shouldnt? I cant say i found either Yookas to be better than average. I spent so much time with both games but ultimately...both are by the numbers platformers sadly.
On mobile this would be free to play but the publisher has it in their head that because this is on Switch and its a licensed game they can make bank on the Switch.
They forget that this is no longer the GX/PS2/Xbox era and that does not fly anymore, the forthcoming Avengers game got a ton of flack because it initially looked like trash! A licensed title can get some publicity but really needs to be any good to do well.
@SmaMan Fairly talented? No, in their "hayday" they were mediocre at their very best. They had a slight hit with Conduit due to hype and the fact that the Wii hardly had FPS games dedicated to it but gamers did not stick around for its sequel due to how mundane the original was. They then tried to do "Left 4 Dead but you...monsters" for the Wii, no publisher would bite because it was just so god damn generic, it look meh and looked like a budget PC title.
HVS are purely a work for hire developer and arent worth anything more.
I've got Reventure...fun for the price. Yooka Laylee has arrived today. Will probably grab Witcher 3, I got it free for PS4 but I havent switched that thing on since Spider-Man and I'd like to play that on the way to work and durinh lunch.
Would have been nice if they included a HD version of the Wii game which I preferred to this. Im still enjoying this though and Id say Im getting my £25 worth, if multiplayer or co-op appears then it'll be better.

Re: Looks Like Nintendo Might Be Hiring Developers For A New 2D Mario Game
Proper 2D, none of that generic looking NSMB look and play. The DS one was the best but each entry was just creatively void.
Personally I'd love a true Super Mario Land 2 sequel, it is a very unique and underrated Mario platformer.
As for 3D, hopefully not another 3D World which for me was just Nintendo going through the motions.
