@emperor_ing Considering that the game is literally Sun/Moon with additional content, you'll get a much more in-depth critical analysis of the game by reading the Sun/Moon review.
Sun/Moon were easily the best in the series since Gold/Silver, in my opinion. I'll never not be interested in playing these, and I'm glad they continue to be of such high quality.
@sillygostly I feel extremely petty, but the awful logo font and icon has been very off putting for me. Kinda don't want them soiling my Switch home screen.
Dammit, this means that Worms is likely going to have a £30 pricetag digitally now.
Edit: To be fair, I checked prices on other platforms, and it is £19.99 on Steam. So it's not that much more if it is priced in the £30 range, but it feels like a lot for Worms.
I'm a bit confused. How can there have been over 2 million systems sold when only 200 were manufactured?
</jokes>
I thankfully managed to get a pre-order through GAME, but I feel sorry for everyone whose only options are scalpers on eBay, or in Cash Generators/CEX-style stores for double the retail value.
This is wonderful news for me. When I first got my Switch, I felt it would be the perfect system for a music workstation/app, so that I could jot down melodies etc. when not at my computer. (Not got a tablet/iPad) Didn't think we'd be getting this level of product. I had the M01D app on 3DS, but I found the interface to be infuriating.
Colour me very surprised. I can't help feel that this game would do better without the Mummy branding. Up until now, it has been very off putting for me personally, because the film was pretty dire. Hopefully it'll sell well due to word of mouth and because of WayForward. Just wish it was part of a different IP.
@Agent721 The difference between your example and this situation:
GTAV - These varying prices reflect retailers' personal choices regarding price point, as the product depreciates in value from the initial RRP over time.
TITPolice - Two drastically different initial RRP prices, IE the first price the product ever was.
A lot of people are complaining about this being a poor selection of discounts for Switch. The console and these games/ports have barely been out over 6 months. Did you really think that half the eShop was going to be 50% off?
Finally picked up Shovel Knight, and considering Snake Pass and Butcher.
£24.99 for TITPolice? Pretty sure it is less than half that on Steam.
Between this and Syberia, I'm getting really confused about the eShop pricing structure.
Update: It is £13.99 on Steam, and currently on sale at £6.99.
Jydging (pyn intended) by the reviews for their other action games on this site, I won't get overly excited for this one, and shall wait and see how it fares.
I'll admit that I'm preferring download versions of indie games on Switch, as I can easily boot up any smaller game without having to dig out a cartridge. Though I did buy a physical copy of TBOIsaac, but only because it's one of my favourite games of all time. There's nothing really announced or released so far that has me excited for a physical version, personally.
Wow, that is VERY expensive for Syberia, considering that both 1& 2 collected together is £10.99 through Steam. I've always wanted to play them, but I don't think Switch will be my method of choice.
I'm interested in Revenant Saga, but have no experience with EXE Create games. Can anyone recommend?
Random question about this. Is each game listed as a separate icon on the Switch menu, or as the one package you load up to then choose the game? Not that it matters, I'm just curious.
I'm liking the look of this, but shall need to hold off for now. I have high hopes that the aforementioned PopCap bring Peggle in some form or another to Switch. Even a port of the second game would be great.
I bought this earlier and played it for a couple of hours before going to bed. It's essentially, to me, an indie remake of the GBA's 'Harvest Moon: Friends Of Mineral Town', and that is a wonderful thing for it to be. Glad I finally gave it a go.
I read before that this game was to get physical controls, which I would much rather use than touchscreen, just out of cleanliness. Personal preference, I guess. Can anyone clarify - does the game have them as an option now, or is there an announced date for them?
@SaKo You probably shouldn't bother asking, for the sake of your sanity. It'll only lead to more pain.
I've been holding off on getting this in the hope that physical buttons control options were added, so that I don't consistently smudge my nice new screen. Fingers crossed that this will be patched to all versions, which seems likely.
I can't believe I need internet access to download the Multiplayer mode so that I can play online! Rant, rage, etc.
I know the actual issue here is that you'll need a big chunk of free storage space, but seriously, who bought a brand new fancy console and didn't get at least a small Micro SD for it?
Even if you're short on cash, have a look around the house for one. My toaster probably downloads update patches nowadays.
Only available as a 4-pack means I'll never be able to pick these up in time before they sell out, then the price will skyrocket on eBay :/
I've missed out on the last 6 or so Zelda amiibo. It'd be nice if less different types were announced, and more of each were manufactured.
The game looks great, but damn, that trailer from the Direct with the monster doing the explanation voiceover was the dullest thing I've ever had to sit through. I felt like I was being read a bedtime story by Grandpa Tortoise.
UPDATE: Read through the Ts&Cs. It doesn't show the discount on the eShop, but it redeemed the credit in my PayPal, so I only paid £15.
I have added the PayPal offer to my account, and am now trying to purchase £20 eShop credit on my Switch using PayPal.
The final Add Funds screen where I consent doesn't show a £5 discount.
For those who have done it, did it show a discount or did it do it after purchase?
I don't wanna buy the credit and not get the discount.
@shani I really dislike the argument against 'clickbaiting', mainly because any article, on any website, about anything, is clickbait. If an article title or header isn't attractive enough to gain views, you've done a poor job.
Anyway, good luck to RCMADIAX with this title. I still reckon he/they should focus on one larger, more complex game though. There's too much unfortunate stigma attached to these kind of releases.
Sounds great, very well done to Josh. Looks gorgeous too! I'll be sure to check out The Empty Inn when I can. It has some overly harsh user reviews on Steam solely because of its playtime/length, but that really isn't something that concerns me. It's difficult to take up any kind of project by yourself, and is thus commendable.
As someone who had a PlayStation instead of the N64, I'm looking forward to making this my chance to try some classics. Though, I played Super Mario 64 on the DS - great version! Wii U is pretty much my ultimate Nintendo hub now.
I chose the Retron 5 over the other emulation systems. Very pleased with it all, other than the time I damaged the NES port after pulling out a cart - it's very stiff. I recommend it, though I haven't tried the retro-bit efforts.
@ToneDeath @RadioShadow As far as I'm aware, none of the big chain supermarkets sell Nintendo consoles or games anymore. Some of the larger stores have been stocking the amiibos though - I got Pikachu for £10.50. Nice little saving compared to the £3750.50 being asked of by GAME.
I know it has nothing to do with the subject of the video, but people who call their character 'Ash' and have a hacked, shiny team (pre-Gen VI) are one of the reasons I hate playing Pokémon socially.
@RCMADIAX I like you, I'm gonna keep a closer eye on your stuff.
Quorthon does make some good points regarding the influx of shovelware, but I don't think any of this should be aimed towards you.
I believe your games (thus far) have had a 4, 5, 6 and 7 out of 10 from NL? This is all really good.
Maybe you're at the stage where you can aim towards a bigger release, and edge away from these smaller titles. I'd like to see what you can achieve.
Either way, you've spoken your mind but still been completely understanding and listened to what people have said. Don't let it be disheartening.

Re: Review: Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon (3DS)
...you guys do realise that a review is a singular, normal person's opinion, right, and not the almighty word of the Nintendo Life gods?
The person who reviewed this thought it was worth a 10/10. Maybe you would give it a 7. Maybe someone else would think it's a 3.
I would give Zelda BOTW an 8/10, but I understand the concept of personal preference and opinion.

Re: Deals: UK Retailer Tesco Is Offering 3 For 2 On amiibo
Yeahhh... I kind of own them all. Which I guess is pretty sad.
I'm only missing Sonic from the Smash Bros. set.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE The average Tesco here in Scotland doesn't, but the large Tesco Extra stores have a small Nintendo section.
Re: VOEZ Is Getting 14 New Songs In Its Next Free Update
No word on the supposed inclusion of physical controls, nah?
Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd November (Europe)
@Paperboy They are two different games, yeah. This new one is also known as THE Sparkle 2 EVO, I think.
Still far too similar.
Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd November (Europe)
Chess Ultra for me, as I'm chess daft and the PS4/PC reviews were favourable.
Now I can practice in bed at night.

Re: Review: Tested With Robots! (Wii U eShop)
The most insulting part of all this is the price.
How can anyone allow themselves to release something this horrific?
Things like this poison the whole Wii U eShop.
