Switch music title VOEZ is getting 14 new tracks as part of its upcoming 1.3 update.
The update is due to arrive next week - November 9th, to be exact - and publisher Flyhigh Works has showcased two of the tracks: "25 Color Twilight" and "Promise from Another World". You can check them both out around the sixteen minute mark in the video below:
VOEZ started out as a free-to-play smartphone title with in-app purchases which unlocked more songs. The Switch version launched with all 116 tracks as standard, and subsequent updates have bolstered that figure to a whopping 146, not including the 14 songs coming in update 1.3. In anyone's book that's incredible value for money.

Free content is always appreciated.
Never have bought it, despite quite enjoying myself during the demo. Maybe I'll make the jump when I am done with Odyssey (which will honestly probably not happen)
Demo didn't catch on with me. Not cut out for these games
No word on the supposed inclusion of physical controls, nah?
Oh, good! I was admittedly starting to worry that future new content would be exclusive to the physical edition, with the way that was announced. (Really wish I knew of a physical release before I bought it digitally though but that's a different story altogether.)
Also dang, 160 songs total after this next update, if those numbers are right. That's quite impressive. And a lot of these songs are amazing, too. Really loving this game, so happy I bought this.
@gordjscott
The phsyical controls were in fact shown in the video above (15:22min, left side), but this is for the Japanese "Package" release on 25.01.2018 (which is probably the retail). They COULD be included in the 1.3 update (didn't catch that where the two songs for the update were showcased), if they have them ready enough to showcase them here, or there will be another update in January then... Either way it's not too far off I guess.
I would play this one way more with physical controls. I prefer to play on the TV. Appreciate the free update, of course.
VOEZ is a very well made game.
The people want button controls!
All these free content updates are seriously appreciated, but I wonder why they're doing this from a business perspective. Hoping the frequent free updates get more people to buy the game outright?
Demo was way too short to truly showcase the game and hence my wife passed on it. No idea what the anime sections do or how they relate to anything else in the game.
@Agent721 The anime sections are minor. It's mostly just static images or short convo logs or diary entries you unlock by getting "achievements". I'm currently pretty much unable to get any more as the game now requires me to finish like 5 songs with score B or higher in expert mode.
But the songs are good and the game works perfectly so I'm happy with it. Can't wait for the update!
@Nego
Ha, OK. I thought there was more too it. Thanks!
@CapricornDavid To allure the potential customers. If it doesn't work, I guess they will stop doing it.
@NinNin Pretty sure they're doing it just to keep parity with the mobile version, which constantly gets new songs every few weeks.
@SaKo And I'm sure that they do that for a reason.
@NinNin The reason being so that people who paid a premium price for the Switch version isn't getting an outdated version of the game.
@SaKo I meant the reason that they keep adding songs to the mobile version. I'm sure that they don't do that just for fun.
