Missing some vital Nintendo-themed plastic toys in your collection? Fear not, as UK superstore chain Tesco is currently running an offer where you can pick up 3 amiibo figures for the price of 2.
At the time of writing the offer includes almost 40 different figures, but stock is likely to sell out fast so if you're missing any vital characters you might want to act fast.
Let us know which ones you decided on buying by posting a comment below. Or perhaps you're done with the whole toys to life craze?

Must be Tesco UK. Tesco Ireland haven't stocked Nintendo products for years. They may be getting rid of amiibo like a lot of other retailers already have.
@Sean161 Yes.
Only ones I have left are the Squid Sisters and Donkey Kong / Waluigi from the Super Mario series... plus a few variants elsewhere
I turned down this opportunity. Proud of myself. Last thing I need in my life is more plastic tat.
Yay! Now I... er... no wait, I don't even want one amiibo.
No Cloud Player 2, not interested
I'm only missing a few from the first wave but the price has rocketed on them. £30 for a badly painted Yoshi? No thanks.
I've been off of this drug for a while now. I own way too many!
@NewAdvent in the run up to Christmas Tesco will have a full promtions end of Nintendo in all stores which stock non food and entertainment.
Currently the only store which have a Nintendo fixture is large extra stores.
My local tesco even stock the SNES mini
Lost interest in Amiibo well over a year ago, and the ones I would be interested in buying (namely BotW, Zelda collection) aren't available for a reasonable price.
@Pazuzu666 Haha me too! Well done to us, we deserve a pat on the back!
They'll be gone from UK retail soon. Sainsbury's and Asda are carrying the Switch but just a few old Amiibo in my local Sainsbury's. Argos and Toys R Us have some but don't bother with new ones. HMV don't bother, Game have almost none and Smyth's who used to do loads have got rid altogether.
Nintendo really mismanaged what could have been a long term success. Too many, too quickly, in too limited a quantity.
Yeahhh... I kind of own them all. Which I guess is pretty sad.
I'm only missing Sonic from the Smash Bros. set.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE The average Tesco here in Scotland doesn't, but the large Tesco Extra stores have a small Nintendo section.
@Sean161 No, not at all. 🙂
@NewAdvent "None of my local Tesco even stock Nintendo products. A clear sign that Switch isn't yet a success"
The UK is Sonyland, bro. Nintendo will never be popular there.
I'm pretty sure they have lots of Sackboy toys, tho.
@Sean161 Why stop? Do you not enjoy your Amiibos? Also - the quality of them is improving so much! The Bowser Wedding suit amiibo is absolutely superb! No amiibo is a bad purchase because it will always always always be re-sellable anyway.
Amiibos and collectibles are part of gaming culture - no need to shy away from that .
They are not overpriced for a collectible figure despite what some people might say - UK suffers a bit from Exchange rate and VAT at the moment - that's not Nintendo's fault at all.
Also remember that amiibos support Nintendo as a company, and a gaming culture - If you review Kimishima's recent comments last week about profits, cash reserves, online fees enabling to provide better games and services - he is correct. Our gaming hobby ultimately benefits from purchasing and owning these items.
Enjoy!
@Sean161 Of course! - but please don't think it's bad
@GC-161 I'm from the UK, and Nintendo sure as hell is popular right now.
@olrodlegacy Well, I guess but Ninty has to play catch-up in a region that historically didn't care about the NES, SNES and of course, any other console not branded with the Sega or Sony logo.
@NewAdvent That the UK has been Sonyland since around the time you first opened your beautiful brown eyes as you came out being slapped around by a surgeon, is not news to anyone.
Nintendo has never, EVER been big in the UK. Not even with the Wii. I think only the Queen had a Wii back then. And it was made of gold.
@NewAdvent You made my day with that spiders comment. Kudos.
@NewAdvent Aw, c'mon. Nintendo came into the UK scene when there already existed a thriving gaming community. Kids were creating games, even.
I mean sure, Nintendo has a very loyal fanbase in the UK. But its not a very significant chunk of the overall market.
Nintendo's main markets are basically just the US and Japan. They can fail everywhere else and be fine as long as they are doing good in those two markets.
Thanks for the heads up, I have hardly any amiibo since they're so expensive. Just used the offer plus Clubcard points to get Blathers, Villager and Ness for a fiver each. Doubled the size of my collection, haha!
@NewAdvent Your comment perfectly.illustrates why Nintendo's online price parity policy was needed even if the idea itself feels anti consumer. After the wii u sales failure, they needed something to get retailers on board. That policy would have been an important component for building better retailer relations
With a £20 budget on the secret Santa on my gaming group I'm tempted to check this out. Could give me an excuse to add another to my collection 😉
A way to get rid of the Amiibo perhaps?
