Re: FBI Shares Official Statement After Seizure Of Major Switch ROM Site

@Mocznik ( Not to make this political ) Did you see who we vote for ? America has become even more illiterate to how the rest of the world functions unfortunately. For this instance Im kinda with Nintendo though. These roms are their intellectual property and they are currently selling them right now. ( This isnt some legacy/preservation issue ) So they are in their right and is right for them to go after the sites distributing these files without their permission ( imo )

Re: Switch 2 Launch Day Delivery "Not Guaranteed" From Nintendo In The US

On Best Buy's website I clicked the preorder button as soon as it showed up to click on. Which put me on a waiting list that took almost an hour but thankfully got through and I preordered the MKW bundle. It can be picked up at my local Best Buy at 12:01 on June 5th. So it worked out great for me. Wish everyone luck on getting one who hasn't. Please no one pay scalpers. Still wonder about my registered interest for Nintendo's website. Can I order the GameCube controller, microSDexpress, and games and not the console if selected.

Re: Switch 2's Backwards Compatibility List Provides Updates On Two Titles

I think the best solution imo is to keep the original Switch. Just include games on the new console that play well and benefit with the new hardware. Switch 1 is still a really good game machine, will be supported in some way for a very long time ( they still release games for xbox one and PS4. I dont see why switch cant still be a great way to play indies ) and switch 1 trade in value isn't that great. So why not keep it instead.

@RubyCarbuncle You are right to say that it would of not been as much ( or maybe even none ) of an issue if there was not so much attention but that goes both ways ( as everything does ) because we all know how that attention was acquired. Pal World would of never been anywhere near as hyped or played ( sold ) without the resemblance of the characters. I think most ( if not 99% ) agree on that. I don't care for Pokemon myself that much. The game concept is interesting but the characters, story, and basic rpg structure of the games does nothing for me. This is why I had all of zero interest in Pal World and will never play it. While it isn't a standard RPG there are still many better more interesting shooters to play than that. It's only hook to me was " it's Pokemon with guns" . I'm sure there was a lot more to it as well but most started playing because of " it's Pokemon with guns " .

I am glad you enjoyed it though ( as for anyone else who did ) I am no champion of Nintendo litigation either as when they go after a fan project that never tries to be sold I find that to be some B.S.

Re: Opinion: The Switch 2 Is A Powerhouse For The Price

goldgriffin360

@Ironcore Im old enough to remember what games cost in the early 90s and game prices have been stagnant since then. Some of the best games on Snes and Genesis( Mega drive ) were $70 to $80 USD original MSRP. ( Especially RPGs ) I mean adjust that for inflation and that will make your jaw drop. I'm not that concerned about the extra 10 to 20 these new games will cost if they are worth it. Honestly not being an apologist it just with absolutely everything else getting more expensive ( that especially includes game development ) why so many demand games be the only exclusion from that does not make sense in reality. I'm more annoyed that there has not been a players choice line created to discount older games a good amount of time has past. As for brand new games in this economy I get the prices and feel they seem about right.

@RubyCarbuncle I don't really think it is about ideas. There have been numerous monster farming-training style games over the years and I don't think Nintendo was the creator of that whole concept to begin with. It is about the intellectual property and likeness. The Pal world monsters look like quick, crude, slightly altered versions of the actual pokemon. I'm with Nintendo on this one

Re: Advance Wars' Delayed Switch Release Might Finally Be Reporting For Duty

One of the more cringey terms people spout out is " virtue signaling " as in anything someone stands for or supports has no validity because you personally don't like it or agree with it. Nintendo is valid in there decision as much as they will be valid in their decision to release the game when they decide to
The ability to play a certain game on a console that literally has thousands of games is not a real issue. Where the world events currently happening is.
