Re: The Switch 2 Fixes Its Predecessor's "Worst Performing" Game

falkyn

I get burned playing SMTV on NS1. I'd like to continue playing SMTV on NS2, if it means that I won't get burned, even if I sacrifice not being held in the same esteem as the creator devs of SMTV who play it on NS1, being known only as a consumer player who plays it on NS2 - which comparatively is a much fairer, truer burn.

Re: Random: Japanese Parents Are Using Pikmin To Keep Their Children In Line

falkyn

My investors use pikmin on me to establish order against me. My rebuttal is that i have prohibitted my investors from ever standing in my immediate presence for risk of their infestation attacking them. It is a consolation degree of freedom from their immediate grasp. However it is a suffocating subsequent breach nonetheless.

Re: Nintendo Switch 2: Everything We Know About Nintendo's Next Console - Nvidia Chips, Rumours

falkyn

may the switch 2 bring forth the uprise of the 32-pixel bit tripled animated frame art sprite army. (i.e. if there are about 100 sprite arts for all of mega man x's movements, then it should be increased to 300 sprites to fill in more of the missing degrees of movement, instead of the dev relying on the player's imagination to fill it in for them. this means devs spend more time on a single game instead of devs making more games with less frame arts and only 8-bit, 16bit pixels. there are a lot of trash games in the nintendo e-shop. a lot of those trash games have their trash opinions - adding to nintendo's detriment. [self-aware of my trash comment that nintendo life so generously allows me to leave here.])

Re: Square Enix Is Looking Into More HD-2D Remakes Of SNES Classics

falkyn

i want 2dhd that isn't chibi.

i'm looking at marvel vs capcom 1 and 2, not 3 when they turned into 3d polygon style.

i'm looking at capcom vs snk 1 and 2. these games are good however they skip out some frame movements, understandably (see: AKIRA: The 24 Frames-Per-Second Myth), fps doesn't necessarily equate to profit, and fps is a lot of effort.

however, i'd rather see 2dhd akira 24 fps effort instead of unreal engine 5 sand art.

tekken 8 is too realistic, sf6 is too realistic - i don't like effort in that direction.

Re: Takaya Imamura: F-Zero Hasn't Been Revived Because Mario Kart Is Nintendo's "Most Popular Racing Game"

falkyn

it's because f-zero gx and f-zero ax are already the zenith of racers. however, the zenith is polluted with grifters and gamblers. any sequel won't be zenith anymore and would handle the same as previous entries - since f-zero is a brain exercise at its core. logic follows that dedicated racers looking for the best would return to the gamecube to play this entry.

Re: Poll: Is This The Very End Of The Road For E3?

falkyn

the industry has differentiated. there's the strictly profit sector. and then there's the service sector - with considerable public function, which may have the ability to make more profit than the profit sector. the current headline only demonstrates that the strictly profit sector doesn't need e3. the service sector, with considerable public function, is eternally intertwined with the very foundation of civilization.

Re: Gallery: Take A Closer Look At Xenoblade Chronicles 3's Characters And Combat

falkyn

@The__Goomba i don't find the male characters too sexy, nor do i find the male characters any sexy. i won't buy the game because the production behind it has created sound bites from male actors that creates a scenario that is exactly like letting a male character next to you and moan into your ear. i don't consent to such ridiculousness.

Re: Sega Is Teasing A New Game, Reveal Happening Soon

falkyn

@Maulbert lately i've purchased so many games that all jinx me to stay in the first level or curse me if i open the gates to the next level. so much untapped software, which is awesome marketing for games that I haven't bought yet - the only way to experience something new without getting cursed.

Re: Reggie: Nintendo's Transition From Switch Will Be A "Significant Challenge"

falkyn

@smithyo full backwards compatibility might not happen. To be able to reprint code that easily would be like having multiple, simultaneous wives of the same person. What has been let reprinted are obviously weaker spells than the original release. And it seems thats exactly what nintendo wants to avoid. Divorce is a serious landscape change problem.

Re: Hideki Kamiya Really Wants You To Play Bayonetta 1 & 2 Before The Third Game

falkyn

what? and get burned for breaking a sacred seal? the dude tries to teach how to appreciate what you have from the start yet now wants people to burn through anyway? my neighbors already think me as a terrorist dog - playing bayonetta will earn me the new title of the inferno witch to my resume. hurts my day business I tell you.

bayo3 will only further add fuel to the fire making its own consumer base responsible for its own destruction. it'll be along the lines of, "what you don't like what happened? you were the one who let the demons in though."

Re: Yuzo Koshiro Confirms He's Back For Vital Mega Drive Mini 2 Music

falkyn

id say this veers more toward toy nostalgia instead of retro-gamer. like, it's a bit too old for me to actually enjoy. like this beckons to my youth at the day-care center, not really the arcade quarter slot era. and i don't care to revisit the day-care era. crazy taxi, however, is eternal awesomeness.

Re: New N64 Emulator Plugin Adds Ray Tracing, Widescreen, 60FPS (And More) To Classics Like Zelda & Paper Mario

falkyn

I just bought a japanese version gamecube with zelda tp and fzero gx.

don't get me wrong, I believe in forward progress, but the future might be better building media segments for fzero tv and zelda tp speed runs instead. Like, with the recent release of the retro consoles, perhaps if beckoned toward, they could remanufacture more gamecubes to more people.

watched miyamoto's keynote for mario galaxy - he explained why there wasn't a mario 128 sequel after mario 64. he said, well you already played mario 128 - that was pikmin.

Re: Backlog Club: Week Zero, June - Return Of Backlog Club, Return Of The Obra Dinn

falkyn

finally busted out RUINER. absolutely super mechanics - but now it's taxing me with the moral gate. what a spoiler thing to add. if placed in the star wars galaxy it might have been permissible. But your character is armed with lead pipe instead of a lightsaber, and bullets instead of a lazer gun, painting you as a kamikaze terrorist instead of a jedi or disney tourist. what the actual fk.
