Nintendo of America has announced the return of the Nintendo Switch Road Trip across the US!
If you're lucky enough to make it along to one of these events, which will take place in nine different cities across America between 10th June and 5th September, you'll get a chance to go hands-on with the latest Switch titles, all on a shiny OLED model Switch!
Here are all of the locations that the Nintendo tour bus (we're not even sure it is a tour bus, but let us imagine) will be making a stop at.
Location | Dates |
Minneapolis, Minnesota Mall of America |
June 10th - 13th |
Denver, Colorado Park Meadows Mall |
June 23rd - 25th |
Milwaukee, Wisconsin Henry Maier Festival Park (Summerfest Grounds) |
June 30th - July 2nd |
Chicago, Illinois Navy Pier |
July 8th - 12th |
San Diego, California San Diego Comic-Con ‘Interactive Zone’ across from Petco Park |
July 21st - 24th |
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania Musikfest |
August 5th - 8th |
Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina Streets at Southpoint |
August 12th - 16th |
Los Angeles, California Universal CityWalk Hollywood |
August 25th - 28th |
Seattle, Washington Alderwood Mall |
September 2nd to 5th |
Only three games have been announced for the tour so far — the two recently released juggernauts Nintendo Switch Sports and Kirby and the Forgotten Land — alongside the upcoming Mario Strikers: Battle League, which launches the day the tour kicks off!
You'll need to pre-register for these events and check whether you need to pay to enter the venue of your chosen Switch OLED-playing destination by visiting Nintendo's website right here.
Will you be attending any of these events? Or are you sad this is skipping your city? Let us know in the comments!

And why would we go to this?
I haven't got to a Nintendo Switch road trip ever since I got arrested by the IRS for tax evasion, but in reality I was playing a Yoshi's Crafted World demo.
I mean I can check out those games at my local Best Buy on a Nintendo OLED, curious what makes this any different? Is this how I get to preview Breath of the Wild 2? That also may mean a Direct has to happen no later than Thursday June 9th?!
Nintendo Challenger!
Big populated areas. Hoping to catch people on vacation since traveling is up across the US. Not a bad idea really, they haven't done it since 2019 since we slowly emerging into this new normal.
Not by me but NYC has the only US Nintendo store so I suppose that's fair. Pretty decent country coverage though the south/southwest is noticeably absent.
Do people in the EU/UK who follow this stuff know that as soon as they see something like this they know it's going to the Mall of America? I'm assuming that's a given for everyone in the US.
@Joe-b
In the past you could get some Nintendo swag.
@Joe-b JonSpangler just beat me to it, but swag is the correct answer.
Last time I went to one of these a few years back, you could sign in using your MyNintendo account, and receive a free water bottle and lapel pin. Additionally, you got a little punch card to play the different games, and would receive a stamp after playing at each station.
Once your card was full, you could turn it in at the front desk for a prize. There were different tiers of prizes, based on Mario power-ups. You'd press a button to see what "value" you got.
I got a flower power-up, and ended up picking a baseball cap with Eevee's face and ears popping out the top. Good times.
Of course they do my home state now that I don’t live there.
I'd brain myself before I waited in any line to play 3 minutes of a video game.
@Joe-b praetorium - touch base with komrads, this is war.
No. And no, I cannot think of "someting" more to say.
While nice I would had just prefer they give us some demos to try at home instead of wasting time going there and actually wait in line to play or watch someone play something.
Ha one of the stops is actully close to me. Mall of America even though it is a four hour drive.
I hope everyone that goes be careful and act smart, even if covid has been talked about less it still exists.
@Desrever that's pretty cool. Better than I imagined
I went to the first tour, on the last day by pure luck when visiting my brother-in-law in Baltimore. It was pretty fun and still got all the swag they gave out there. Pity I don't live near any of the new locations.
I was invited to a special grand opening for the Wii U. It was so LIT man!! I had crazy fun there!!
I know I'm definitely gonna stop by the Summerfest date to pick up some swag. It's a smart move, Summerfest is pretty big music fest and has all sorts of people from families to punks to metalheads to country fans. I'm kinda amazed to see a stop in Milwaukee at all.
Not everyone has a Switch yet... and every year a new batch of young children graduate to an age whereby their parents finally give in and buy them a Switch. The roadshow is primarily for those people...
Everyone on here, with multiple Switch consoles already saying their not interested in a roadshow... erm OK?!!
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
Musikfest August 5th - 8th
HERE I COME!!!
@Joe-b Because it's Fun and something to do, if you have kids. Or for those who don't own a Nintendo Switch yet, and want to try it out.
@NintendoEternity yah, it does sound fun. I went something kind of similar in 1987. Sega was traveling around with these Master System kiosks. That's where I got to try the amazing Phantasy Star. After playing it, I couldn't wait for it to come out!
@Joe-b awesome
