This is great, but 8 bucks is a little steep for a master system game with a few bows attached. I’m also one of the people who never complains about price on this site.

@Regpuppy The pre orders are actually pretty high. On Japan’s coming charts it sits and number two and a huge leap away from number three (kingdom hearts). Also one of the 4 sku’s has already made it into Amazons top 100 video game sellers for 2018. It doesn’t release for months. Y’all really shouldn’t underestimate it.

@Deathwalka that’s just their marketing. They think there are two types of gamers portable/home and want to sell to both. All the guts and everything that makes it work is in the system. The dock is just plastic. The only reason the clock speed goes up when you put it in the dock is the battery. They could easily launch a firmware update so it would play the same regardless of how you played but the battery life would take a hell of a hit.

@whanvee oh FYI I’ve been playing nintendo consoles since I was eight and I’m thirty six. There is nothing cheap about the switch. I’m surprised the don’t lose money on it actually. I’m surprised the even used multi touch capacitive screens when there are cheaper options.

@whanvee I would argue they didn’t with the switch tho. Look at any other portable on the market. It’s very expensive to put that much tech in a small device and have it run that well. Heck look at all the technology in the joy cons. I have a ps4 pro and what it does as a home console is impressive. What the switch does as a portable is also incredibly impressive.

@Menchi187 the difference between the specs of a switch vs ps4 and a 3ds vs ps3 is gigantic and you know this. Heck the switch has more power than the wiiu and the wiiu slightly edged out the ps3.

@Menchi187 That doesn’t change the fact that it is primarily marketed as a portable in Japan now does it? The only reason they said this was so they could continue selling 3ds consoles. The dock has no guts. Didn’t you use the example earlier of connecting 4 controllers up in docked mode? You can do that without the dock.
