Mario Kart Tour Adds Tanooki Mario And The Super Leaf In Its Next Update

Are they aware that people want this kind of special attention given to a console Mario Kart or nah? It's up to us to convince everyone to stop buying MK8 I guess.

@SpaceboyScreams I'm not sure they can be convinced sadly. MK8 has become an unstoppable force. But bazillions of people are clearly enjoying it, if nothing else.

Man, I'm really hoping the next real Mario Kart will get this kind of love. It's painful to see all this great stuff added to a gacha mobile game without the ability to play it all in a proper iteration.

Does anybody actually play this? (I guess they obviously do but I don't know a single person who does personally)

Why can't Nintendo do some updates for Mk 8 or better still announce MK9

@Marios-love-child yhea, it's a fun little combo scoring game. I've been playing a bit every day and never had to pay for a thing, without it affecting my winning and stuff!

I still think Tour is in reality MK9 and the next one we'll see on Switch 2 will be MK10.

It’s funny that people think Mario Kart Tour isn’t the next Mario kart simple because it is on mobile … or that it is a gotcha game because it is on mobile. It really is a good game and I’ve never paid a dime despite playing it weekly since launch.

Rosalina just looks weird in that long fuzzy brown tanooki dress. Yikes. They should have kept her light blue like how Peach is pink as a cat.

@Marios-love-child I play it daily and also own MK8D, never spent a penny on it and I have loads of drivers, karts and sails

I'm confused.. do people still play this terrible excuse for a "Game"?

This isn't really new content, it is just new character skins. Doesn't take much work to add them.

It is a fun game, I really like it.

So MK9 when Nintendo? It's been 7 years since we've gotten original Mario Kart content (MK8D is a port, MKT is a mobile game that's mainly recycling assets from past games), the lengthiest drought of such content in almost 2 decades. This series is sorely hurting for new content and could use it soon.

MK8D DLC would make Nintendo a fortune. It’s just good business sense as much as anything.

@Marios-love-child Yes, me!! I play it every day. And I’ve played it every day since launch. And you know what? It’s the best Mario Kart game. It’s true. But a lot of people can’t get over the controls and gacha elements. Once it clicks, this game is absolutely incredible!
