Re: Video: Level-5 Showcases Yo-Kai Watch 4 Gameplay At World Hobby Fair Winter 2019

@EasyDaRon not trying to start a war or anything, but if we compare just the gameplay, ambience and visual, YW makes pokemon looks cheap since the very first YW.

It's absurd how good the game looks and run on the 3DS while pokemon is a barebone game with a more direct approach over the battle system.

YW never lost the WOW effect on me every time I start playing it.

Re: Video: Nintendo Would Like To Remind You That 2DS Exists This Christmas

I'm still playing Yokai Watch on my old 3DSXL with YW2 bought a long time ago yet to be played, so yes, 3DS/2DS is still a thing for at least one person in the world

And even though I already have a Switch, I really wish I could buy a N2DSXL just to refresh my console before it stop being produced, my old 3DSXL is also OLD.

Re: CPU Exploits Meltdown And Spectre Could Potentially Affect Nintendo Switch

cobalto

No one will be affected by Meltdown, since it's a Intel problem.
Spectre however, some variants can impact it maybe.

It would be fun if not so sad, if the jailbreak comes to switch with this vulnerability.
Technically, you can read all kernel memory in hot state exploiting it.

Edit: Yeah, Tegra X1 is a 4xCortex-A57 (affected) and 4xCortex-A53 (not affected).
ARM website says that the 3 variants affect it ._.

Re: Review: Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters (3DS)

cobalto

It's not like Pokemon except the existence of monsters.
I've already bought Bony Spirits but never played it since I'm still having fun with the first one.

It has so many quests that are actually fun to do and sooooooo many adult jokes. It's a great and fun game.

I hope YW3 come faster to the ocident

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Breaks Down DOOM On Switch In A Unique Way

cobalto

@JaxonH a somewhat low but stable framerate will EVER be better than a high but instable framerate, just haters don't agree.

2 minutes inside the game and your brain already get used to the speed and can predict the movements just fine and you will not even notice anymore.

60fps are better? yes.
switch is DOOMed? no (actually yes, but not in this sense)

Re: Retail Version of DOOM on Switch Will Need a Download for Online Multiplayer

cobalto

@sillygostly @Menchi187 that's nice to hear, but is a fact that a flop disk is much more prone to failure after 20 years in a drawer than a proprietary sd card, that's my point. And we not even talking about the hardware to read it.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE doom is a full product out of the box, since you're not considering patchs/bugfixes, it only relies on the store for the multiplayer part.

Let's not use that nba game as a default, we know that game is a lazy and dirty work.
