Surprising it took them this long to get to Bubble Bobble and Rastan. But that's a good selection of games. My highlights would be Bubble Bobble, Rainbow Islands, Rastan III and Dead Connection.

Also, Runark is known as Growl here in the West if anyone's curious.

Considering how pricey both versions of Sparkster are, $30 isn't that bad of of proposition if you want to play these legally. But I kind of get it, the Castlevania and Contra collections are cheaper and you get more games.

Shocking it took this long for this to get a North American release.

Shocked that Diddy Kong wasn’t apart of the initial roster. This is why I avoid these new Mario sports games. If I’m paying full price for a game, it better have plenty of content.

@nessisonett Yeah the amount of machines it can run is impressive. There’s also all the non-arcade machines it can run as well.

I remember when I first used MAME back in 2008. Thought it would be as easy to use as the rest, just download the ROM and start playing. Boy was I wrong. Also the first time I learned about BIOS files (looking at you Neo Geo). Had to use a separate emulator to play CPS games. One of the best emulators, but it wasn't very user friendly. Even nowadays I had difficulty getting certain Midway and Atari games working. Glad to see it's still being updated after so long. Wouldn't be surprised if I'm still using it another 25 years from now lol.

Hasn't this user already had one channel removed? Not surprising if they had. Probably because they have so many Nintendo songs on the channel. Like Anti-Matter said, you can still find Nintendo music pretty easily on Youtube. Of course it would be great if Nintendo would give users an option to stream their music legally but knowing them, we may see that by the end of the decade.

Yeah I think most people saw this coming. If it weren’t for the pandemic this first probably would’ve made twice what it did.

They need to have Redd come every week. Make someone like Leif or Kicks a random spawn. I rarely use those two anyways. Also, have CJ and Flick alternate every Sunday. Daisy Mae is pointless if you don’t play in the morning.

Not a bad update. Glad we’re getting the puzzle since we’re never getting Tetris Attack for obvious reasons. Wild Guns is good for anyone who doesn’t want to pay for the Remastered version. Even the NES game is good.

Finally getting something that doesn’t feel too dated.

Not gonna lie, I’ve gotten to the point to where if I want to play a retro game, I’ll find a way to play it. Buying retro games is too expensive and take up too much space, and arcade games. Yeeeeah...

With that being said though, I will purchase games with notable QOL improvements, like some of the SEGA AGES releases.

So I guess we’ll be getting an announcement about a Goemon pachinko machine soon. 😉

Virgin’s Aladdin is a great game. It takes a bit to get used to using the sword, but once you do everything flows nicely. Oh and the magic carpet autoscroller isn’t as bad as some people make it out to be (certainly better than that blasted Turbo Tunnel section from Battletoads...). Yeah the game doesn’t play as nicely as the Capcom version, but it’s still worth a look. A shame the collection’s overpriced though.

I disagree. I have this on Steam and enjoyed it. While it’s not terribly original, I still found it to be a fun little brawler. The only thing I didn’t care for was the soundtrack. I would give it a 7/10.

Good game but the last few stages are a bit generic unfortunately. I wonder if the video emulation will be better than in MAME.

@FragRed The first arcade Golden Axe used voice clips from Rambo and Conan and it got re-released without any issues.

I've played this one. It's alright, but I thought that Burgertime Deluxe on the Game Boy was a better update to the classic formula. From what I've also heard, these Johnny Turbo releases are pretty slapdash efforts which is a shame.

Good stuff. I'll try it out later. Hopefully The Apocalypse IV gets translated some day. That's the one I'd like to play the most.

Some of this stuff looks even worse than the shovelware that was on WiiWare. Now that takes effort to be that bad.
