Re: Feature: The Wii U is Two Years Old, But How's it Doing?

C from me. It's not bad... but not really great either. The games are alright, but not Nintendo's best. Then there's the 3rd party support which is the worst Nintendo's ever seen for a home console. The VC is ok, but support is not up to par with the Wii at this point (not even many third parties seemed interested in it).

Played this one a couple of months ago. Still fun to play. Loved what they did to Rainbow Road in MK8, made it much more interesting.

@CarsonPistol: I think a better thing to say would be: "The vast majority of the people who voted in your poll don't think it's a major issue (Nearly 80%)."

I agree with the rest of your post though. Thankfully, these types of articles are easy to ignore. Hopefully the writers don't start shoehorning their political views into reviews anytime soon. Those aren't as easy to ignore.

Re: Nintendo Provides Some Context to 2013's Tomodachi Life Same-Sex Marriage Controversy

cheetahman91

The way I see it, if you don't like it, just ignore it. If you're offended by the same sex option (assuming that Nintendo kept in in the game), then don't use it. That being said, I don't think that not having this option in the game is as huge of an issue as some people are making it out to be, considering that this is Nintendo we're talking about here. Same sex marriage is something that's simply too controversial for Nintendo to deal with.

Re: Pachter Predicts Wii U Price Cut, Feels Nintendo Is Losing "Non-Traditional" Players To Social And Mobile

Pretty reasonable statements here. In terms of sales, he may or may not be right. I highly doubt that the Wii U anywhere near the Wii though.
.
"Also says gamers see tablet and mobile as "perfect substitutes" for 3DS"

Actually, if you read the article it says this:

"We continue to expect handheld hardware sales to decline over the next few years, as many non-traditional gamers consider smartphone and tablet games a perfect substitute for casual games played on dedicated handheld hardware."

He's not saying gamers as a whole. He's talking about the casuals. Yeah there's some dedicated gamers who do a lot of tablet gaming but I doubt that most feel this way, as shown by the comments.

Re: Talking Point: Wii U vs Xbox One - Online Requirements and On-Disc DRM

cheetahman91

The online thing is what really bothers me. Doesn't M$ realize that not everybody in the US has good internet? The "once a day" connection is a load of BS too. What if my internet were to go out for a few days? Looks like I'm SOL. And then there's the servers. Those things aren't going to last forever. It would be like you're renting the console because you can only play games as long as you can connect online.

Unless M$ makes some major changes before launch, I hope this abomination flops harder than the Virtual Boy. Aw who am I kidding, that'd never happen.

Not a bad game but it's really showing it's age. Nothing wrong with simplicity, but this one's a little too simplistic for my tastes and pretty bland as well. This is one better left for the past. 5/10.
