If you're yet to jump into Harmonix's music-mixing rhythm game Fuser, you'll be pleased to hear that the game has had its asking price slashed starting from today.
Currently confirmed for North America, the new pricing means that the game's standard edition will now cost $39.99, down from $59.99, and the VIP edition will be available for $79.99. This new pricing is applicable to all versions of the game, from Switch and PC to PS4 and Xbox One.
The game's received regular content drops since launch, including a Flavour of Love DLC adding tracks from Billie Eilish and more, earlier DLC which added the likes of The Killers and Dua Lipa, a feature-filled update, and more. In total, 92 additional songs have arrived as DLC.
In our review, written at launch, we described Fuser as a "flawed, dorky, and often brilliant music game." Read our full thoughts here if you'd like to learn more.

Pretty cool game - kinda feel burned by buying it at -10% off for them to only discount deeper and deeper in the weeks afterward. Can't imagine many have bought it.
Very interested and intrigued at this game but the pricing was bonkers. It’s closer to what I would be happy to pay.
Sweet. It's been sitting in my Wish List for a few weeks now.
I said it before release and I'll say it again now. This is a cool concept but not one the majority of people are going to actually spend money on. Great ideas are not always commercially viable ideas.
Its a cool game, but it was very expensive at launch. Hopefully this drop gets more people playing.
They went the Starlink route on the pricing. Now watch the price keep falling in a push to claw some money back via the DLC.
I was sad when the physical release was quietly cancelled last year.
As a huge Rock Band fan (and an active crew leader in Rock Band 4 on PS4), Fuser has been on my wishlist since launch. But from the beginning I knew deep down that it was going to be discounted eventually — heavily discounted.
Why do I suspect that? Well I've seen RB4 go on sale for a much smaller price since launch, so I'm still holding out until the base game drops down to $20-25 on sale as RB4 (+ it's Rivals expansion) has in the past.
To be clear, I do want to support Harmonix and I do enjoy music mashups, but dance and modern pop music isn't my things much as rock and alternative is. Plus, the DLC for Fuser (as has Rock Band's DLC as of late) has been a bit lackluster for my tastes thus far tbh.
@bluemage1989 that's Harmonix's modus operandi. How that company didn't go under years ago is completely beyond me.
I don't care how "flawed" the reviewers try to claim the game is. I played this back at PAX East last year and fell in love, so when it went on sale around xmas I picked it up and all the DLC. I think it's a really fun time.
The only game I ever preordered before release...
@sremick I love Fuser a lot and it’s one of my favourite Switch games, but it is sorta low-budget. Specifically the visuals, the audience only has like 5 dance moves. But who cares about visuals in a music game
I'm sure licensing all the songs makes lowering the price much more below that difficult, but I still think $40 is more than I'd be willing to pay for such a game. Which is a shame, because I do genuinely want to play this game, but the price still isn't where it needs to be for me to actually get it.
Still salty about Fuser taking Dropmix away from me. I would be hundreds of Dropmix cards if they would simply release them to me.
