Such a nice story and what nice kids but man it makes me angry that people in America have to worry about the cost of healthcare and crowdfund to try and pay for it, what a crazy situation for a rich country not to offer universal free healthcare.

@jakemills91 I've seen a lot of people criticising the 3DS port, but for what it's worth I loved it.

@wolvesboy Uh, if you'll forgive the weirdly political comment... as I understand, Brexit is likely to lower food standards in the UK to allow a swift trade deal with the USA, which has far less stringent food standards, so stuff like this may well become more common. Then again Ninty probably still won't bother with the small UK market!

I would love the new Resident Evil so much. Don't actually know how high-end the graphics are on it or if it would be doable but I've wanted to play it since it came out.

@HopeNForever still keep mine on me in my bag at all times for a quick fix of classic gaming, can't beat that little thing for gaming on the go.

The gameboy seems a really easy one to do. Just put the old 2DS into a classic gameboy case, cover up the touchscreen section or put in a different screen and load it with games. Nice form factor, battery should last decently, and we get the added benefit of a backlit screen.

(I know it's not quite as easy as I make it sound but it would be relatively for them to do)

@justin233 me too. To be honest I didn't get into the series until the 3DS port of 3 and loved it so much I couldn't believe I'd never got around to playing the others.

@justin233 I know what you mean but Metal Gear Solid 3 and other games that depict the Cold War and even Vietnam – a war America lost – seem to do fine in the USA.

Not sure why Farming Simulator gets so much hate (not here, I mean elsewhere), it looks good. Not my kind of thing personally but if Stardew Valley can be so popular, why not?

Very rarely double-dip but probably will with this one, it's such a special game. I've been holding off on buying a lot of digital games lately (golf story for example) in case they turn up as physical later.

I know it's picky of me but other than Mario Kart I'm really not a fan of behind the car view in racers.

I understand that this game only allows a behind car (not in car) view? That's a shame, I much prefer in-car/cockpit view with these kind of racers

@Moon you enjoyed ice station z? Was it updated or anything, because I actually liked the idea of it but thought it was a really poor game imo. Not trying to slag off the developer and appreciate he was trying to do something interesting but I felt it was really bare bones.

I never knew Shiren the Wanderer was originally released on the SNES. Anyone know how it compares to the DS version?

This is a really elegant way to handle it, I think. Downloaded content worries me for the future but multiplayer won't work in years to come anyway. Those who buy the cart can still enjoy the single player game to its fullest even years down the road when servers go down.

Something about it didn't grab me initially but knowing how good Renegade Kid was I grabbed it and really enjoyed it, would definitely recommend.

Game cancelled my SNES Mini order last time so currently sticking with an overpriced Amazon France order unless I snag one in Spain (where I am now)

Edit: I should say that I messed up one digit on my order, the postcode, so it was my fault really, but the customer service was really poor, won't shop with them again.

Don't like all this questioning of the reviewer. If he says his opinion is that it's a 10, that's fair enough. Anyone who's ever freelanced, either writing about games or otherwise, will find the idea that he's somehow in Nintendo's pocket laughable.

Personally, when I've reviewed stuff in the past, I found a high score a pain because of the obvious pushback. You've got to go with your gut though, rather than try and water down the truth in case of moaning readers. Start doing that and your reviews will become meaningless.

Y'know, pretty much everyone says that Nintendo wasn't very big in the UK so I'm not disputing the truth of this statement but that wasn't my experience at all.

Nintendo was way bigger for me and my friends than Sega in the late 80's/early 90's in Wales and though we had the Speccy and Amiga etc that was mostly for coding and because the games could be bought so cheaply, Nintendo was always the cream of the crop for us. Plus Gameboys were everywhere, everyone had one. Nobody had a GameGear except for that one weird kid.

Maybe my social circle was an oddly pro-Nintendo bubble or something.

@MegaTen yeah was thinking the same thing. I'd rebuy the game at a reasonable price to have a physical version - here's hoping this nudges them into it.

@Shiryu wow, really? everything I'd heard about it has been uniformly awful, whereas the Dragon's Trap is pretty much the opposite. Not disagreeing - I haven't even played DDIV - but surprised to read that.

Edit: just read a comment on metacritic saying that it's a much better game than the one that appeared on Steam.

One thing that really strikes me when reading the comments is that most of the Switch's detractors don't own one.

Obviously, the comeback to that is that they don't own one because they don't want one! That said, I think once you actually use a Switch you really realise its worth in a way that isn't always apparent from just reading about it.

Personally, it's my favourite console in a long time.

I'd personally take a visual downgrade of the full version over the version meant for mobile phones though will probably purchase either way.

The portability of the Switch makes it a really nice platform for large sprawling RPG's IMO.

I thought this would get at least an 8 to be honest - not criticising the reviewer, mind you, I've only put like an hour into it - but was way more impressed. Loved the music too.

Hope this does well for Jools, he's a cracking developer.

I've been pretty excited for this as the SNES was my console growing up but Game has just cancelled my order - I'm equal parts gutted and furious, trying to sort it out but don't hold a lot of hope...

@LUIGITORNADO nah the US SNES really doesn't look as good. But take solace in the fact that the controllers feel slightly better in a lot of people's opinion because they have two concave buttons (UK buttons are all convex).

@NEStalgia I actually loved the 3DS Castlevania - not a popular opinion I know (agree it was short). Guessing some people at Nintendo did too, since they let the devs take on Metroid.

Loving how the Switch has become a proper little portable (and not portable!) Neo Geo. Wish they'd hurry up and release Last Blade 2 though, can't wait for that.

@Blizzia Not trying to pick a fight, I'm genuinely curious with what you mean here. I don't agree with the Wall Street Journal's editorial stance on many things but fake news? It's one of the most (probably the most) venerable American newspapers imo.

I agree with your opinion though, don't want Zelda on a mobile device. Knowing Nintendo they'll make it compelling and a good game, but just not really interested.

I'd love a resident evil game on the switch, adored the gamecube remakes, the n64 one and even the DS one at the time.
