Milestone, the devloper of the Motorcross racing MXGP series, recently took to Twitter to reveal that it plans to bring MXGP 3 to the Switch at some point before the end of the year.
This game is a bit of a looker and uses the Unreal Engine 4 graphics engine. MXGP 3 tasks you with tackling unpredictable and dynamic weather conditions in various motocross races. From sun to heavy rain, every change will decisively influence the rider's visibility and the highly-deformable ground, putting even the most expert player to the test.
The game offers a career mode and enhanced customisation, along with all official MXGP riders and tracks. It'll be interesting to see how the Switch port turns out. Let us know if you are excited for this one with a comment below.

This is something that would interest me, it is nice to play a racing game from time to time that doesn't involve firing red, green and blue shells at your opponents
Surprised we are getting so many sports games for the switch. Especially since EA is only bringing fifa
What does REAL stand for again? That was a really annoying advert. The game looks good though.
Motorcross Maniacs looks more fun to me. Got to be good to have this appear on the Switch though.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE reminded me of that song D I S C O: D-its delightful, I its incredible, etc but was more naff
I am usually not a fan of racing sims, but that looks like it could be really fun. Jumpin' Jim Rivers DLC?
Title sure took me back to 1998. Motocross Madness returns for the Switch? Then I remembered that is owned by Microsoft, so that'd never happen.
Too bad this game doesn't look free roam, but I'll still give it a shot.
The first 2 games in the series received mixed reviews,64%, and 65% for the PS4 versions. Hopefully they'll get it right the 3rd time.
Graphics looks great, but how's gameplay?
If it's on par with at least 2000's Excitebike 64 I consider getting it.
Cool. If it's anything like excite bike 😁
Played the first MXGP on PS4 and had a great time. Skipped two because I didn't like the direction they were taking... This one however, looks like a big improvement on the first. Day one for sure.
I remember playing Motocross Madness 2 on the PC when I was little. Is it like that game?
@SKTTR likewise if it's on par with Excitebike 64. I won't be however. Sad knowing we haven't had a full-on Excitebike sequel for some 17 years now - not including WiiWare variants.
Probably not my kind of thing but it makes me happy to see the Switch is getting a decent amount of third-party support.
Awesome... Milestone finally got MotoGP 17 right... hopefully they'll bring MotoGP 18 to Switch as well!
Sweet, I'll definitely consider this. Its nice to see a bit of variety
Nintendo never normally gets games like this. Great news.
@OorWullie the first 2 are quite good,easily the best MX games mototrax on ps2.
Excellent. Fingers crossed for the new Ride TT game as well. Going to struggle a bit with digital triggers though. You live or die in Milestone bike games by your fine throttle control, unless you play it on arcade settings.
@admwllms showing your age there
Day 1.
The game looks good on vita but was rubbish, same with Mud motocross from same developer before they got the official licence, milestone don't have a clue how to make a decent racer, sorry I wasted my money on it
@EDF I just watched gameplay on the vita...so that is what we get to look forward tom, huh.
@Arnold-Kage They just have subpar managers that can't understand how to tackle a platform. The Nintendo Switch was an announced success, everyone would have seen it as a success, beside some weak managers. Eventually in 2018 they will recoup, but they're already seen badly by the gaming community, especially the Nintendo one for the lacking support.
MXGP looking good.
@Tetsuro
I know that they will regret it but still find their policy that each game has to be an success or else we won't get a second.
To be fair not a big fan of EA sports to be honest. Now I like a game of fifa as the next person but think it a bit pricey to buy it every year.
@Arnold-Kage Still it will have a big market, not everyone will pay for it every year but the market will still be big. They should have announced all EA Sports games and some more. I don't mind about Andromeda and the likes, but their support has been so bad with nothing announced except FIFA and now Fe.
@N8tiveT3ch, yep that's what's coming, save your money for a better racer
@Tetsuro
I know but to be fair it's only them and Capcom. Would have added Konami but don't really consider them as a proper game developer
WANT!
I LOVED Mark McGrath back on ps1, this has my attention!
This announcement is surprising & interesting and yet more proof that things will NOT be the same on Switch as they were on Wii U from a 3rd party perspective!!
@KIRO ha I just have an encyclopaedic knowledge of corny music!
@Arnold-Kage And Namco too isn't doing that good. Konami is dead so can't say anything on it. At least Capcom has already released SFIIU and it's ready for Monster Hunter.
Only Nintendo, Squaresoft and Ubisoft are supporting it well. Squaresoft at least has announced good stuff while always betting on the platform.
@Tetsuro Thought bandai namco had some stuff in the works. Namco collection and their licence games like one piece come to mind. You forgot since their bring what 3 games did year.
@admwllms I like the bit wheee it goes "oooh oooh ooooh!"
Do we win a price for the most off topic comments ever?
@KIRO I think you're right! At this rate we should start up a new website - Discolife
