@Musashiden Actually many GTA fans now will agree that GTA4 was more innovative and has a better story than GTA5.

On PSN i only add people I've played online with so I really won't be bothered by friend codes like in the Wii and DS days and if I really want to add a friend of mine on Switch I'll just ask his FC on whatsapp or facebook or whatever.

I admit it is unnecessary to have friend codes again but most of my friends on PSN are people I invited to play online with only once or twice and never bothered them again, so it's really not that bad.

I tried the first one and I didn't like it that much, I didn't get very far since I was expecting more of a 999 type of game story wise.

The sequel looks interesting but I'll wait for the reviews.

Actually, I think it's a clever strategy from Nintendo and besides it's NSMB on a tablet by Nvidia not Sony or MS.

Nvidia and Nintendo are working together on Switch so this can only mean good things for their business relationship in the future.

@dereq Yeah, in case you didn't know the NES Classic includes games NOT developed nor published by Nintendo like Mega Man 2, Contra, Final Fantasy and even Pac-Man.

So just "IP's and licensing rights" should not be an issue unless Nintendo just doesn't want to go through all the trouble.

Obviously Nintendo is not going to include the whole NES library but they could have made it possible to add more games to it which would lead to even better sales.

Since this is not the case the fans have to use this hack to illegaly add the games they like on their Nes Mini. It's wasted potential if you ask me.

Honestly, this is what Nintendo should have aimed for instead of limiting the system to just 30 games.

I have very low hopes for western third parties supporting the Switch because let's be honest here,

Nintendo doesnt really cater much to western games or genres other than Ubisoft and their games like Rayman and Just Dance, and Nintendo has too much of a negative reputation around western third parties/gamers that it's going to be tough convincing them to support the Switch with quality games.

Again, I love the idea of Skyrim on the Switch but it's going to be a tough sell since its a 6 year old game and it releases on not launch, no, AUTUM 2017 when it should have been out on day 1 and if third parties see that Skyrim doesn't move any sales, most likely the worst sales Bethesda has ever seen, then everyone is going to assume it's because "third parties don't sell on Nintendo consoles" it's going to be the WiiU no games problem all over again.

I do have high hopes for Japanese third party support however and I do hope they will help the Switch sell well and laugh in other third parties and naysayers faces.

Nintendo could have mentioned much more but I don't know why people complain about the price, like do you want the system to be even less powerful?

Everything takes time and I believe that with the Japanese third parties the Switch can grow and so will sales and then western third parties will actually be convinced to support the Switch. Be rational people!

After WiiU 3rd parties definitely need some convincing first, Nintendo and the fans must really put their money where their mouth is this time around.

@ULTRA-64 I played it and I think it's a terribly boring game definitely not worth the full price when there are indie games less than half the price and twice the value.

It's not a coincidence that small developers prefer to work with Sony and Microsoft.

@Equinox I understand NoA somewhat, they realized that Devil's Third was a bad game, but there was barely any press for it and the trailers also didn't leave a good impression so all of this contributed to the terrible launch sales.

While the game has its own faults Nintendo of America could have done a better job of marketing and generate some hype around it but since its a mature rated game and a bad one at that, they decided to ignore and almost ditch the game entirely had the fans not noticed something was wrong.

Itagaki was really screwed over by NoA, i feel kind of bad for him cause even if it's a shitty game if Sony or Microsoft had published this game they would have hyped the game to the max even if the end results wouldn't turn out so good.

There is no need for gcunit or anybody else to hold their frustrations back on this matter. When a company asks you for your hard earned money and gives you nothing but false promises and wastes your time in return, then they can expect some huge flak for it.

It's ironic how WiiU owners were the first to back and bring mass attention to this project and after all the promises, sweet talk and money spent on this game, WiiU owners aren't even getting it because the creators weren't so sure the system could handle it.

I'm glad I never spent a dime on this. I don't see how anyone could ever trust crowd funded games after this.

Now that we got a unified Nintendo ID it's time to not charge us again for the same games.

As soon as Nintendo fixes that and gives us PAL gamers 60hz retro games I'll buy VC games.

I'll be the first to say that I spend 10 euros on obscure and probably bad eshop games but I would never spend a dime on a mobile game because I know that in the end most of these games are "pay to win" and games in general just feel better on a dedicated gaming device.

Not even Miitomo or Pokemon GO convinced me to give out some money, however if Super Mario Run gets good reviews i might be interested and actually buy it.

Well Miitomo and Pokemon GO requires always internet connection to be played so that's the main reason I never got into these games and mobile gaming in general.

Other M is a great game had lots of fun with it especially on hard mode.

Shadow Dragon is a not so good remake of the original FE I advise anybody to get the Gba games instead.

@ThomasBW84 I think it sold just over a million on WiiU which is not that bad, Prime Trilogy didn't even do half those numbers on Wii and DCKR outsold every Prime game. DKCR3 would be nice.

In fact if I recall correctly it was Sakamoto and his team who also made Super Metroid,(the definitive Metroid game) Yokoi and his team handled Metroid 2.

I understand people will take third party comments about the Switch with a huge grain of salt after what happened with WiiU, believe me I do as well.

But in the end third parties need to make a profit just like Nintendo and failing in this day and age can cost you your whole company going down.

I'm hopeful with the Switch every party to take full responsibility and put their money where their mouth is...

-Nintendo, keep chasing those third parties, especially western third parties because you need them just as much as Sony and MS do.

Unfortunately most people are simply unaware of the 50hz issue, to put it bluntly, Nintendo is selling PAL gamers inferior versions of their games and for the same price worldwide.

Their reasons for this are usually language options or the "nostalgia" factor without giving us any options of buying 50 or 60hz versions. I for one am disgusted of the 50hz collection we got on the Wii VC and jealous of NTSC gamers who got the superior and correct versions.

Hopefully the Switch will be region free like the PS3 and I'll be able to buy all the NTSC retro games without worrying of giving a dime for 50hz trash!

I recommend to anyone to use the 20 gold discount and buy the game if interested (you'll get 10 gold coins back by purchasing this game) or don't buy at all and wait for a full release.

I sure enjoyed the game but I was expecting a bit more than 1 hour gameplay which wasn't very involving other than reading, memorizing and pointing out some clues I really hope this becomes a full game like Hotel Dusk!

@scamander Actually there are like 16 titles which is an improvement over the Wii VC but more than enough to clearly understand that Nintendo is just trolling it's PAL gamers.

By giving us Mario64 in 60hz you would think they finally got the message only for them to baffle us again with Ocarina of Time & Majoras Mask in 50hz. The same happened with DKC trilogy.

Good! 50hz should have been long gone by now and finally Nintendo is giving us PAL gamers the right versions of course this doesn't mean the VC will see any changes regarding the 50hz issue.

Metroid and Star Fox have been giving enough chances they screwed up. these 4 new Nintendo IPs have received a postive to critical acclaim and need to continue proving themselves the only thing slowing them down are low sales (except Splatoon) which Metroid and Star Fox suffer from aswell. So spend money on your newer IPs Nintendo!

Whether Federation Force was a desired game yes or not doesn't matter it would still sell terrbly because it's Metroid. Would it sell better in the west? Sure but not by much anyway. I'm sure developers are now even less interested in developing a Metroid game, first because it definitely won't sell and second because it's very supportive and all so mature Metroid fan base will definitely love them for even trying to expand the Metroid games in any form possible.
