Re: A Group Of Fans Are Resurrecting Lost Rare N64 Title Dinosaur Planet As An Animated Series

Yalaa

I love Star Fox Adventures even though it's not a true SF game and the ending was definitely rushed but it's one of the better SF games released in years in terms of game quality and I still have fond memories of the game, the graphics, the characters, the music, the in game world it all mixed so well together if only it had more SF parts that the fans were expecting and more play time with Krystal with its original plot it could have been very different.

Im always interested in how Dinosaur Planet would have turned out for N64, a fully voiced acted Ocarina of Time inspired adventure game, Dinosaur Planet could have been one of the biggest and best games in the N64 library.

Im not sure how this animated series is going to work but I would like to see it.

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Wii U / N64)

I adore the original versions of the N64 Zeldas but there is absolutely no excuse to give out money for the inferior and terrible 50hz versions.

I'll stick with the 3DS version but i'm still dissapointed that Nintendo still refuses to listen to its European fans and cut this 50hz nonsense out already.

Re: Fans Create Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Patch Which Uncensors Western Censorship

Yalaa

@Syrek24 Laugh all you want but you are the real deluded and pathetic person here who apparently blindly defends censorship in the entertainment medium not realizing that these kind of practices are outright destroying the freedom of creative expression of developers in video games.

Of course if you're a social justice idiot and or a youtube radical femenist then this is exactly what you want to achieve. If you want to play censored games then go ahead let them publishers decide what you are allowed to watch and play and pay upfront cause i sure won't blindly defend this atrocity.

Re: Fans Create Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Patch Which Uncensors Western Censorship

Yalaa

Really? People in the comment section are not celebrating the fact that dedicated fans are showing Nintendo that we gamers are mature enough to view some pair of 3D breasts and we gladly want the game to be as the original but in English because we pay for it with our hard earned money? They call this childish.? Just what is going on with this world...

They can censor every angle of female body parts, suggestive dialogues, entire religion references and whatever and western gamers these days view this atrocity purely as "localization".

But let them censor one bit of blood in a game and its CENSORSHIP THE WORST OF THEM ALL.

Thanks to dedicated fans like this group I might just buy the game because that is what I want to give my money for, an UNCENSORED gaming experience. Hopefully they can give Xenoblade Chronicles X soon the same treatment and all the other unfortunate games plagued by censorship.

Re: Eiji Aonuma Rules Out The Option to Play as a Female Link in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Yalaa

@Ryu_Niiyama Sorry but guys won't complain because they simply don't care about the gender of the protagonist they're playing with as long as the game is fun and the protagonist isn't annoying. which is why so many guys over here are shocked over this demand and outcry for something as petty as a fem Link.

Like I said I wouldn't have a problem with a female Link but why would anyone demand or even expect something like that from a 30 year old franchise which tradition is to have a male established protagonist and then bash the creators over their vision for not including more females.

I don't like Kratos of God of War but I don't pressure or expect from the developers to replace him with a hot female Kratos who doesn't shout all the time as long as I can enjoy the game I don't care about his gender.

"If you have a plate full of cookies and I have two, I shouldn't take your cookies, I should bake or buy more for myself."

By that logic those who want more minority protagonists in their games should have no problems at all to create their own game with their own fleshed out characters don't expect others to change their game for you or your needs.

Samus and Lara Croft were made by males and they've always been protagonist in their own game series with no optional male counterparts so why should Zelda be any different from them?

Re: Eiji Aonuma Rules Out The Option to Play as a Female Link in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Yalaa

Laughing at some of the butt hurt comments over here.

In Metroid and Tomb Raider there is no option to play as a male protagonist, yet not a single man have I heard complain about this or even ask a male to be included in the game so why should a mainline Zelda game have the option?

I really really wouldn't have minded if a female Link would be included but I'm happy Aonuma decided not to force a female Link in the game just to please the fans.

Re: Nintendo Publishes Part Two of the Miyamoto and Hayashi Star Fox Zero Interview

Yalaa

@Yorumi I agree Star Fox did go far away from its roots after SF64 where imo it really started to get bad with SF Command.

@Rin-go
-How about Nintendo giving us the option to add/message/invite/party chat with our friends the modern way and without the FC hassle?
-How about an unified account (hint: eShop) for all your Nintendo hardware like Sony and MS?
-How about Miyamoto letting Koizumi and other developers create games with their own creative vision instead of butting in all the time and forcing his vision on their work, like Koizumi's philosophy for a more focused narrative in Nintendo games instead of the basic 99% gameplay 1% story mindset.
-How about Nintendo embracing Youtube content from their loyal fans without the bull loyalty program.

Believe it or not all of this is not because of Nintendos incompetence rather that the old masters over at Nintendo are stuck in the past and are not willing to get with the times. I'm all in for innovation but the sales of the PS4, XBO and the terrible sales of the WiiU prove that's not what gamers are looking for they just want more of the same but better which is exactly what the old school Star Fox fans were hoping with SF Zero.

Re: Nintendo Publishes Part Two of the Miyamoto and Hayashi Star Fox Zero Interview

Yalaa

@Rin-go Reminds me of Gunpei Yokoi with the Virtual Boy, Yoshio Sakamoto with Other M and now Shigeru Miyamoto with Star Fox Zero.

I think people are way too harsh on Miyamoto these days. Whenever he screws something up his intentions get misunderstood and gets a bunch of flak for it from the fans and whenever he does something good he still gets criticized.

On the other hand I can agree that Miyamoto (perhaps Iwata too when he was alive) is also the one holding Nintendo back on trying to get with times.

Re: Reaction: Star Fox Zero: The Battle Begins Had Humour, Weirdness, Teases and Lots of Potential

Yalaa

Wow the art style is absolutely gorgeous! This could definitely work as an anime series.

Too bad the game itself isn't well received by critics. The scores are even worse than I was expecting on metacritic, but then again with all the GTA clones nowadays gamers just don't like On Rails Shooters anymore, especially not ones with a short campaign and no online multiplayer.

Re: Editorial: From Metroid: Other M to Star Fox Zero, the Awkward Experimentation With Beloved Franchises

Yalaa

I like most of the Metroid games (Other M, Prime, Hunters, Super & Fusion) I also like all the Star Fox games (except Command, turrible game!)

Nintendo has always been about innovation both consoles and games wise, this is nothing new really. Mario 2 Zelda 2 Metroid 2 even Mario Sunshine was a game that tried to be different from the series' core gameplay.

Other M/Federation Force and Star Fox Adventures/Assault/Zero are just recent examples of how Nintendo is always exploring new styles of gameplay. Metroid and Star Fox never met huge sales like Mario or Pokemon which is why Nintendo loves to outsource these ips.

Basically, Nintendo is really out of "fresh" ideas for these games so they let other developers come up with a game concept and later turn it into one of Nintendos games. I think this is one of the main reasons why Metroid and Star Fox are still around these days... The sales don't cut it, the fanbases don't help so thats why were getting another Star Fox reboot and no new F Zero game in sight.

Re: Feature: How One Man Saved Kyoto - And Video Games - From The Atomic Bomb

Yalaa

@commanderlynch Agreed.

Mr. Stimson didn't save Nintendo (or anyone really) he merely asked for another city to get bombed instead.

Even if Kyoto got nuked in place of Hiroshima, Japan would have surrendered anyway. I mean, it was an atomic bomb any country would surrender after that.

Would Miyamoto and the Nintendo of today never exist? Perhaps. Should we be thankful to Mr Stimson for "saving" a company he's never heard of? Hell no.

Re: Nintendo Life Weekly: Zelda Wii U Rumours Point to Sex Choice in Playable Character

Yalaa

I'm not against this idea, but if the gender of the main character won't matter anymore then why not let the players create their own main character and call him/her Link/Linkle or whatever they want them to.
Of course i don't expect Nintendo to do this so I for one will always go with Link (male) because in the end this is Zelda we are talking about, not Pokemon.

@TheLegendofMe I get where you're coming from, i myself would love to play as a customized Link tho i like all the character designs of the different Links Nintendo has come up with. But i think there are some things you and others need to understand first.

Link does not represent a white guy. He's an elf, (light elf or wood elf, whatever) a fictional race who most of the time, are portrayed as fair skinned creatures with light colored hair and eyes, like Legolas whereas Aragorn is the real white dude.

This is Nintendo, and as we all know they don't get with the times as we still can't create our own Black villager in Animal Crossing or a Black Pokemon Trainer.

Re: Nintendo Download: 31st March (Europe)

Yalaa

Other M is a fantastic game! I liked the story and i didn't mind the way Samus was portrayed in this game tho it was confusing at first.

It's the first Metroid game i completed 100% but that's because it's more of a Metroid Gaiden game than a real Metroid game. Still, this game is amazingly well crafted. Loved it!
