Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD - A Remaster That Truly Soars

Bit of a tangent comment, so forgive me.

So Skyward Sword loses points for a traversal feature being locked by an Amiibo? Okay, that’s actual sound reasoning for a deduction.

But Monster Hunter Stories 2 loses points for being too “grindy” when it’s an RPG? I’m sorry but what….?

I’m aware the reviewers for the two games in question are different, but I’m sure the review policy/structure is the same for all reviewers.

And I think it needs a review itself.

@Mince
My “problem” is that it helps to do your research. Your initial comment was ignorant to the possibilities if it being a mistake when others had already brought it up before you.

And I’m very sure that I am older than you already, so the condescending tone and life lecture about what being mad truly looks like is pointless.

As for everyone else in the comments still overlooking/unaware; The game is listed as 13.5GB in the eshop.

Digital version aside, even IF MHS2 was on an 8GB cartridge, I have a very hard time believing an extra download of 15GB is necessary. That would make it a total of 24GB. 10.5GB bigger than the size stated for the digital download

Even with a Day 1 Patch. Seems to me this is likely just a printing error/typo.

“You get things for free by your parents once you earn or save your own money you'll soon understand what we go thru.“

I’m not exactly sure I understand why you even needed to assume something like that in the first place.

I’m in my mid-twenties with my own flat, paying my own bills and purchasing my own luxuries. I think I’m more than qualified to throw my hat in the ring.

And being skeptical is fine wen it comes to making purchases.You evaluate all the pros and cons of something before biting the bullet on getting it.

That said, this was a 90 second trailer and people are already calling it disappointing when they barely know anything.

Skeptical? Sure. Jumping the gun? Very much so.

Re: Review: Super Bomberman R Online - A Battle Royale Blast Defused By Long Waits And F2P Frippery

A 5/10 rating….Really?

That’s incredibly harsh and if I’m honest, probably stems from the reviewers bias of it being a F2P game offering micro-transactions.

People who purchase the premium pass have no advantage whatsoever over those who don’t. It get’s you all the locked characters sure, but that doesn’t mean they’ll instantly win every game when it basically boils down to luck, skill and timing.

As others have echoed, white bomber is OP and he’s a standard character everyone can use.

As for the long loading times to find a match, I’ve not once been put off or tempted to stop playing because of it.

What’s more, the time spent waiting for a match is easily overshadowed by how long you can actually be playing in one.

I’m currently level 11 and rank 12 on both the passes, played well over 50 games and even came 2nd in one match. (Lost due to placing a bomb in the wrong spot). And all of that was with the white bomber character.

I’m in agreement that the loading times need to be improved and it seems a fix is on the way. It all comes down to an individual's patience.

The ONLY negative I have, is that creating private rooms to play with friends is locked behind the premium pass. It’s a bummer, but not a deal breaker.

The main draw to play this game is the battle royale mode anyway.

If I’m honest, the review is way too harsh. That said, the person reviewing it clearly has their own criteria and if they didn’t enjoy it that much, that’s fine.

I’m having a blast though (pun intended ;P)

@neufel
I’m not saying that the people who managed to grab it won’t have it removed or the licence revoked.

But that it’s a possibility they may get to keep it.

We have to remember here that while it happened on the PSN store several times, that’s a different company entirely. There’s also a fact that that this slip-up seems to be entirely EU server-side related. Different countries and regions have different laws, policies and clauses.

It’ll be interesting for sure to see what happens from here.
