Didn't switch 1 version come on a cart? I'm sure i have one. And wasn't the update to switch 2 cheap or free?

I never understood the vitriol for gkc on the switch 2, when ps5 and xbsx have the same issue(the disc just being keys to run the game from your ssd), and pc just doesn't have physical at all. Especially with so many games having day 1 patches, and regular updates, etc., it's not like the entire(playable) game is on the carts/discs.

I don't think families and children who planned to watch this are looking for positive reviews from critics. And I believe people know what they're getting into when they choose to watch a super Mario movie. It seems the critics went into it waiting for a thought provoking moment where people question their own lives and decisions, instead of enjoying a silly movie based on a video game.

We need a comparison for switch, switch 2 edition, and switch 2 boost(for switch 1 games). Because if boosting makes the game look and run better, why bother with the paid upgrade?

I really hope the games will be available for individual purchase online. But I won't hold my breath.

Loved this game my first play through. Loved it even more when I added mods. Modern weapons, halo armor, gotg soundtrack on my pipboy, etc. Good times were had.

We will never see cheap components or consoles again. When they sell something at a high price, why would they lower it, regardless of how much it costs them? It's the "rocket and feather effect." Prices rocket up but float back down like a feather. Thats why most, if not all things, are more expensive. You can say inflation, but I say corporate greed.

Re-release the older versions of angry birds star wars, and get rid of the gaas versions.

Each and every dev should quit, form their own studio or devs union that required the likes of rockstar/ubi/etc to contract out the devs for a time(however long it takes to dev a game) at fair or higher pay. What options would they have? Either pay them or shutdown. Crises precipitate change.

I know it's a long shot, but sega Saturn's dragonforce.

As a beat'em up action adventure game, how does it compare to guardian heroes*? Or is it closer to sor4, shredder's revenge, etc.

*GH has an arena mode, branching paths, numerous characters, sf ii-like special moves, etc.

Wow. Kudos on a great port. With cyberpunk, ac shadows, star wars outlaws, now this, even with the graphical "downgrades," switch 2 may have the better game(s). Mainly because of the portability factor.

Also, when I read comments, here and elsewhere, of how the "tech in the switch 2 is dated," then games from this generation appear on the switch 2, makes me wonder if the ps5/series x|s are dated as well.

Watch it be the f2p warzone. Or maybe they'll port cod mobile over to switch 2.

I imagine the horsepower behind the series x|s allows game freak to produce more graphically intense and content rich games, especially compared to the switch(1).

These "contests" always seem a bit off. "Design a -something- for us and we'll use it in our game." You'll get nothing for your efforts other than an icon. While they get the monies. Give me .25 cents per copy sold or something. Better, $500 prize so at least you can pretend you sold it to them.

Im wondering if the rest of the games will come out on the switch 2. Playing intergrade on switch 2, then having to buy another console(whether a ps5 or switch 3) to continue the story doesn't sit well with me. Fingers crossed they do come out on the switch 2.

What you guys SHOULDN'T do is buy from scalpers on ebay, etc., then dispute the charges with your credit card company. Definitely shouldn't do that.😉

@Sindayl well, in california, the Xbox app tells me, "get game pass. Stream your games." I guess it's different for you.

The switch 2 version trumps the series s version simply by being portable. To achieve that on xbox you would need a series s, game pass ultimate, and a device to stream games to.

Excellent! I finished my first playthrough of switch 1(which was perfectly suitable). Now I can continue the story and other endings on switch 2.

Walmart and ebay have the onn micro sd express for fairly cheap.

Im surprised at how well star wars outlaws is on the switch 2. If that game is any indication I might grab this in a sale. In my humble opinion portability trumps cutting-edge graphics.

After a rough month I treated myself to ninja gaiden ragebound, shinobi, and star wars outlaws(which is on sale $40 Amazon).

At the pace the yakuzas are releasing on switch 2, makes me think a collection would be imminent.

I don't search out nes games to play. I'll play it if I come across it(ie, friend's house, bar, etc). Snes games and on I'll replay or search out new titles.

Gonna need the software to keep the momentum going. Third party output is pretty good. First party needs to catch up.

Do people even play video games anymore? It just seems like a bunch of people complaining about whatever is going on in the industry. Or trying to figure out the frames and resolutions.

My ideal pokemon game would be more action oriented. Hold a button and you have a choice of six pokemon that you've captured. While traversing an open-world, you can use the pokemon's ability to traverse the world, etc. When encountering a wild pokemon or another trainer you take control of the pokemon with powers tied to buttons with cooldowns. Skill trees. You'd have regions, ala totk, but instead of sky towers, it would be gyms. Side quests, of course. Beat the gyms get invited to a grand tournament, "..be the best around!"

I've been looking at this game on other consoles. I don't mind the 30fps(if it's truly stable, zero dipping), and lower fidelity. I played most of my Witcher iii run on the first switch. It's a fair tradeoff for portability.

So, the switch 1 faults rears it's ugly head on switch 2. The switch 1 played first-party and older third-party games, well, but current-gen(ps4/xbone) games struggled. Now we're seeing it again on the switch 2. Older games(Ps4/xbone) seem to fair better, but if you want current-gen games, portable AND ugly, then switch 2 is the place to be.

Right below this box shows the "game profile," followed by "where to buy," and lastly "buy eshop credit." Why does it say "$5,000, $2,000, $1,000"? Typo or are you really selling thousand dollar cards?🤣🤣

$1700??! These companies have lost the plot. There's a reason the steam deck sold so well, the pricing and ease of repair/upgrade.
