@NintendoWife Yeah, you're right. I still don't get why they rarely touch this game. Alongside FFVII, it's gotta be one of the most popular RPGs of all time. But time will tell.
It's a shame they are not releasing Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster made with this glorious thing called HD-2D.
Chrono Trigger would be the perfect game to make use of it, since its 2D sprites are so emblematic.
At this point, ANYTHING related to a Chrono Trigger remake/remaster would print money, very low risk on doing that.
The amount of disinformation and ignorance towards NFT is hilarious. With all due respect, the majority of people here don't know ANYTHING about it and how it can be applied to gaming, nor how play-to-earn games can change lives around the world.
The "you pay to own something, but you won't own it" argument is extremely hypocrite as long as you buy digital games without complaining. They aren't in your shelf, right?
Take Axie Infinity for instance, the most popular NFT game that made more money than Ubisoft in 2021, made by only 3 people. People who invest an amount of money can earn that money back, make more money out of it, and still have fun (although the game is still in alpha). The Philippines are most bullish on Axie than other countries, and the reality today is that poor people are already making a better income than their regular salary out of a game. Isn't that wild?
Now, there are some differences when it comes to big companies, but the technology behind blockchain is the same for everyone. The best part is that big companies have more devs and more resources to keep the games going.
If an indie company could make a simple yet fun NFT game, I'm excited to see what AAA NFT games will look like.
Guys, they only said "not planning to make an announcement" anytime soon, which means they can still announce and launch it any time this year. I believe a new version is definetely coming in 2021.
This game lacks life. Compared to proper Nintendo games, everything looks so hollow and robotic. Not to mention the competitive scene, which was born already dead. There goes, probably, the best oportunity ever to make Game Freak care about its games and fan base.
@shinesprites Yeah, I'm not being realistic in my commentary, I'm just accepting the fact that what was supposed to be done 2-3 years ago is now impossible and we'll end up with a bad Pokémon game in 2019...
Unless it's a "we will restart the project in order to deliver a good product" video, I'm not interested.
At least Metroid fans are less likely to get disappointed with Prime 4.
I love this man. I hope someday we will get a proper Banjo revival (either with a new game or a remake) and he will be there to bless us with his music once again.
@PBandSmelly are you sure they do have an excuse? Pokémon is one of the best selling franchise in the world and they're still re-using gen 6 models. They improved the textures, lights, shadows, etc, but the raw models are already 6 years old, at least.
Not to mention the overworld, with low resolution textures everywhere. Did you see the trees? The ground texture?
With companies investing tons of money to produce high quality video games, I get very disappointed with Game Freak being so lazy with the money-maker franchise they have.
Edit: I almost forgot, but the battle screen is the same from Sun/Moon.
Why are you guys ALWAYS in a bad mood? Trying to find a imperfection all the time. Geez. This is a really good job, I would love to have one of those in my house.
I'll not say Goku in Smash is impossible, everyone got surprised when Cloud was announced. But taking about the voice actor, he does Lucario's voice too? If he does, why would he say that?
I'm still waiting for Pikmin 4, which was said it was "very close to completion" in 2015.
Wanted to see some games announcements at this E3, but it was very disappointing in my opinion
I'm with you, @3dsgeek333. I really don't want a rushed game. Altough I absolutely love the franchise and I'm very excited about a new generation, I'd rather wait for a 2019 release.
I think NO ONE should expect that AAA games will come to the Switch in first place. They are games developed to perform well on PS4 and XBO, made by computers (so they'll obviously run better on PC), so we just can't expect they will run on a system which is underpowered and which was out of the plans of thirdies when they started to develop these games. However, I have a feeling that some thirdies will make games for the Switch which will be ported to other consoles, because it's easier to do that way (or even exclusives). What I'm trying to say is that the Switch shouldn't be put in the same scenario as PS4/XBO and be smashed if they couldn't do impossible ports due to its hardware
If all those optimistic predictions are because of Odyssey, I can't imagine where Pokémon will lead the Switch when it comes. I'll wait to buy my Switch for Pokémon and I can feel a lot of people doing the same. I hope there will be no shortages when the time comes
At first I thought Monster Hunter and Pokémon would make Switch sales go nuts, now I rely on Pokémon and Metroid. Although I'm not part of the MH community, I know how these games were important to the 3DS and it's a bit sad to see what Capcom is doing
Although I love the Switch itself, this app is pathetic. I don't even own a Android or iPhone, so it's useless to me. And even if I did, there are so many little things that make the experience awful.
The artwork looks a bit different... It's like they put together the Wii U and 3DS versions in one game, which would make sense. I'd love to see this happening, but I won't expect anything from these screenshots alone
If it's selling = continue to release games; If it's not = move on to the next hardware. Pretty simple, isn't it? The Wii U went into the worst way, then they gave us the Switch. So I guess they'll milk the 3DS until the consumers stop to support it, because there's no reason to stop making 3DS games right now

Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield Is The Fastest-Selling Switch Game Yet
@iakona23 there's not even a demo, who would pay 60 dollars just to confirm it's not a well made game after seeing so many flaws on the internet?

Re: Japanese Charts: Pokémon Sword And Shield Debut In Top Spot, As Switch Sales Continue To Rise
Shame. With those sales, it won't surprise me if Game Freak deliver another effortless game in the future, that's what saddens me most.

Re: Random: This New Indie-Developed Turok Looks Nothing Like The Previous Entries
Uh. It looks nice, but why put "Turok" in the title?
It only makes me wish a new (real) Turok game.

@PBandSmelly don't forget Game Freak and the Pokémon Company. Although I'm a big fan, it saddens me to admit that Sword/Shield looks awful.
Re: Random: We Really Hope The New Nintendo Switch Looks Like This
Love it, it would be a day 1 for me.

I don't want to get excited about this, my expectations on these kind of Pokémon news always get broke.
I'd prefer a nice Pokémon Direct

These rumors are making it even worse.
Please don't let this "Let's go" thing be on Switch
Re: Inti Creates Announces New Bloodstained And Gunvolt Titles For Switch At BitSummit
Bloodstained is really good. It's on par with Shovel Knight's quality in terms of 8bit gaming

There's nothing wrong with that. I'm actually proud of the consumers attitudes and the studio's decision to hear what PEOPLE WHO BUY THEIR GAME want

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Pokémon Direct and Its Big Reveals?
I love Pokémon, I might pick Ultra S/M up, but I'm really sick of those 240p.
Sadly we'll see the main series coming to the Switch only in 2018
Re: Pokéland Is The Next Pokémon Game Coming To Smart Devices
Not my thing, but I hope it does well
Re: E3 is Coming, Which Means Anonymous Super Smash Bros. Switch 'Screenshots'
I wouldn't call this a port, though. Looks like a new game but with same mechanics as 4 WiiU/3DS
Re: E3 is Coming, Which Means Anonymous Super Smash Bros. Switch 'Screenshots'
The artwork looks a bit different... It's like they put together the Wii U and 3DS versions in one game, which would make sense.
I'd love to see this happening, but I won't expect anything from these screenshots alone
Re: King Of Fighters '99 Is Your Next Neo Geo Title On Switch
97', 99' and 2002 are my favorites. I hope they bring 2002 soon.
