Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Rise is about to be treated to an exciting collaboration, teaming up with none other than Mega Man.
From 24th September, you'll find that Mega Man's faithful robotic sidekick Rush arrives in-game as a Palamute layered armour set. As you can see from the trailer above, Rush comes with all sorts of tricks that Mega Man players will already be familiar with, including the ability to throw you up into the air to reach higher ground.
It perhaps comes as little surprise that Mega Man would appear in Monster Hunter Rise in some form – the two series have combined in the past, after all. Still, it's a welcome addition nonetheless.
It's also been teased that Rise's fifth Capcom collab will be arriving this fall, so stay tuned for more on that. In the meantime, let us know if you'll be jumping back into the game next week to check out the new Rush armour set with a comment below.

Where are the rewards for event armour and event weapons.......the thing that actually have the potentially for people to make new builds?
Capcom have really dropped the ball this Gen when it comes to events.
I love this so much, I love how it, well feels like rush LOL.
this is so dopey and ridiculous.
I love it!
@Isashihtzu Monster hunter has always done that with there collabs, I mean there was even animal crossing Palicos at some point.
That reminds me...I never bothered with events in general in the last game, but World had Palico armor where it would change the battle music. It was Mega Man music, but I wouldn't mind something like for Rise...maybe old Monster Hunter battle themes? Yes I'm making an excuse to get the old Sandy Plains music into Rise, lol
...Not that the new theme isn't bad, but...I wanted a freakin' remix for my all-time favorite MH map. TwT Why just the Flooded Forest? lol
Wow, not THIS is interesting! XD
These collabs are absolutely amazing!
@Isashihtzu as far as I know these first ones are free though?
That's awesome. Definitely going to use this once I pick the game back up.
@Isashihtzu My thoughts too. This kind of kills the vibe for me.
When are we going to get some ACTUAL new content like stages and monsters? New monsters are the LIFE of MH, not piddly side-crap like this. Capcom is strangling this game and supporting Stories 2. It's like they're quietly trying to kill Rise.
Ugh, I so want to return to rise with 300 hours played, but I can't find any incentive to do so.
This made me throw up in my mouth a little.
@Rhio2k think there saving everything for the expansion dlc. They said from the beginning they where treating this game as a complete game minus the content they where late for (the ending) not a service game like World. People rushed through the game thinking it was gonna be like world with constant added monsters for a year and not like older games where they gave dlc challenges and collaborations. Still got several hundred hours of play time and will get more when they release the expansion.
I'm not a megaman fan but that is pretty funny.
Though I'm still waiting for that there proper update that brings new playable content to the game, hopefully that will happen at some point.
Really cool, too bad I never use palamutes.
Seeing Rush in 3D like this just makes me want a proper 3D Mega Man game even more. Just make it happen Capcom.
I hope the next collab is Resident Evil, and they add a Chris Redfield skin for your Palamute. He'd just run with your hunter up on his shoulders like a little kid, and when he'd sprint he'd go down on all fours.
@Martijn87 Megaman Legends already exists though… it’s about time for a remastered release.
Now this is more like it!
I missed the more cartoony and funny skins from old MH. Now give us Tom Nook as a palico layer!
Making me jump back into the game with this.
@somnambulance MegaMan Legends was fun but they could make a much better one. Hope it happens someday.
This is awesome!
Oh wow Rush is perfect!
It may even sway me to play the game a little after being away for so long!
@Martijn87 Legends in retrospect actually aged a lot better than many of the other 3D adventure games of its era, and given how fantastic Capcom has been lately, I am hoping that the quietude for Megaman as of late following all of the collection releases is leading up to this. They could do really wonderful things with it, given how well other Capcom franchises have done lately.
Now if we could get a palico as Mega Man to accompany Rush. And SOME ACTUAL NEW MONSTERS! I’ll take a purple Ludroth at this point!
@Isashihtzu Yeah, because the crazy collabs in Generations/ Generations Ultimate weren't immersion breaking? Or the MegaMan Palico suit in World?
Rush shows how good Megaman Legends 3 would look with RE engine.
I finished most of everything I wanted done in this amazing game in 240 hours. I’m gonna let the quests stack up before I step back in
Rush alone is making me want to go ahead and get this game LOL
This promotion makes me so hard. I can only get so hard capcom come on!
@Ulysses I have a feeling there is a Mega man legends project on the back burner they just need to find the right time to release something like that. Honestly the switch would have been the perfect place for them to port the 3DS game to. I would honestly like to see them do a proper remake of the 1st and 2nd game as a single package and then they could make a sequel after that because they still need newer generations to be interested in the IP.
