@tonyp1987 Since they are skimming by in the red, I doubt they would be able to come up with the funds to make and market physical carts for this game... at least not at "launch".
@Gabe250 my bad on the $400 for base model, not sure why I thought that was the cost. Honestly, how I assess the cost of accessories to the cost of the whole console shouldnt really bother you this much, should it? In my world if something costs almost half (or more than) of what it improves, then that just doesn't make sense and I allude to it "costing almost as much as the console". I don't ask you to agree with me, that is how it appears to me.
@Gabe250 It really isn't a stretch at all, with the cost of the console being $400US and most of the 1TB Express cards Average (sans sale price) $199.99US, with tax that is over $220US coming out to more than half the cost of the console. How is it a stretch to say that it costs almost as much as the console itself? And honestly, they were even more expensive earlier this year, I'm speaking specifically to closer to June 5th the launch date of the S2. I saw them costing as much as $285US and far higher than that on resale sites like ebay.
Got a 512GB at Walmart for like $60US and I filled it up pretty fast, so I got a 1TB on sale and haven't had an issue with storage since. Spend the money, get the 1TB... it is worth it!
@kmtrain83 FE: Engage was far superior to FE: 3 Houses! 3 Houses was just bland and boring to me. Engage felt more like a return to form, but with a disappointing lack of character customization for your Main Character... the stupid hair of the Protag was abysmal, other than that; it was a good game.
"Metro" should change their name to "Contrarian". Their review section is putrid and filled with vitriol. Honestly, if you play a game solely because of reviews being "good" then do you even enjoy playing video games? Surely we could form our own opinions and enjoy the games that we each like regardless of what the "Reviewing Minority" decide to say about them. Every game is NOT for every person... facts!
@Max_the_German She is somewhat arrogant in the 2nd game, but the story and gameplay are really fun. Understandable if you didn't enjoy the first game, I didn't either. The 2nd was worth playing far more than the 1st game.
Wilds became stale very fast for me and I've found myself still, 4 years on, playing Rise far more. It just doesn't have the pull that Rise has, as a matter of fact I've been satisfying the majority of my MH itch on Switch 2 with Wild Hearts S and am thoroughly enjoying it!
@roy130390 Honestly, this game is great, it does play better than the demo, but I have had it crash on me a couple of times while I wasn't doing anything particularly strenuous for the engine or console. It's got it's issues, but it is pretty fun and can be very fast/frenetic.
@1UP-HUSKY I agree with you on this one. We need to see pokemon push past the "every pokemon is an adorable plush doll" aesthetic and maybe have a divergence toward something more realistic and updated. I just want to see so much more from the series, not so much more of the same.
@Johnny_Arthur if you notice the "tech" on the characters suit, you should notice the light is attached to an arm that moves with the camera and not just with the character, since you aren't holding a flashlight, the light follows the camera.
@Whyarewestillhere LOL... I read that "...they were graphical showcases many moons prior." and thought the EXACT same thing. Never, the answer is never, they were never ever graphical showcases of any kind... ever. And they continue NOT to be. Some people say that is an "endearing" part of the franchise, I am not among them.
Pokemon has become a very bland looking franchise since entering the 3D game space and it's not showing signs of bucking that trend in looks. Glad to see that there is some new gameplay ideas being brought into this franchise, but the designs have got to grow or die. I get that it is very much marketed towards children, but they could really do something more with the looks of these games. This is my opinion and I just wish it wasn't because I've been playing Pokemon games, all of them, since they came out in the 90's, but other than Legends: Arceus and Sword/Shield, I haven't touched one in a while and this game might change my mind on that... I'll just wait and see.
One last thing, they have got to stop being so overly lazy on the pokemon designs... I'm looking at you Trubbish and Clefkey!!!
@Fiskern since it is an opinion piece I felt it only fair to share my opinion, hence my "imo".
@The_Nintendo_Pedant no worries. I fully understand the escapism, but don't understand escaping to work on a garden or farm. Again, my opinion should not dissuade anyone from enjoying what they enjoy... in moderation.
@The_Nintendo_Pedant bold of you to think my life is "good" based off of a statement about "real life" being better than video game life, but ok. Also, life is good. I am alive healthy and breathing. So that can be my simplistic idea of good life.
@BigRed40 True, it just seems that there were a plethora of AC clone life sims shown in the direct and I just don't fully understand "life sim" games. To each their own, if this is something you enjoy, then disregard my comment as I would disregard a comment that in no way holds bearing on what I might enjoy.
@Sadz You mean like the things that take place in real life outside of a video game? Actually, yes I am pretty fun at parties. My distaste for a genre of video game in no way is indicative of how I live my life, nor how I interact with people in real life situations such as a party. Kinda funny of you to try to denigrate me for my nonplussed comment about "life sim" video games, but hey this is the internet and I am willing to take what I give, so no harm no foul.
I think that most people, that have been awaiting MP4, were taken aback by the bike reveal and open world segments that were showed in this latest trailer. I myself thought this was some kind of S2 update for Dread with added content. I was then very confused by the fact that this was MP4.
I have my trepidation in regards to this newest reveal, but I am still very much looking forward to how they pull this new stuff off. I've been waiting for this game since 2017, so we will just have to wait and see.
I do feel like what this most recent direct showed was extremely minimal for such a big game release and didn't make a whole lot of sense in trying to get people excited for the game. I was just glad that they actually gave us a release date... finally.
@Ralek85 I agree. I wish that MP4 had gotten more than a random afterthought of a blurb with the release date. I mean, they have been touting it as this big great game for the switch and switch 2, but they literally mentioned it in a passing sense and instead focused on... I'm not really sure what.
@Ralek85 I have my reservations and trepidation about the open-world parts of MP4, but I'm happy to give it a go. I've been waiting for the game since 2017 f*s, no amount of Motorcycle riding Samus Aran is going to deter me from playing this game. Something of note: I thoroughly enjoyed Metroid: Other M, even if the story painted Samus as a whiner looking for approval from her old squad leader, instead of the BA she actually is.
This is the absolute worst thing they could have done with the VB Virtual console. Forcing you to get a replica of this flop of a console, just to play the entire 14 game catalogue is absurd. I still have my virtual boy and it is, rightfully, collecting dust in storage. I bought it used from Blockbuster when the console flopped and they stopped carrying rental consoles. I got it and every game for like $100. Teleroboxer and Wario Land are about the only ones worth playing, but not with the neckstrain of the accessory that is needed to play this nonsense.
@WaveBoy I actually made a stylus that fint on my thumb so that I could play the game better and faster in online matches. It worked pretty well too. Kinda made it like a second analog stick using the touch screen.
@Automated_Unit_4937 I was about to ask what you were on about, but thank goodness you answered my ponderance on your earlier post. Since GKK are just a verified DL to either internal memory or Express MSD card, then it would run faster than the physical carts, due to the higher transfer/read speeds of the Express MSD that S2 uses and the internal memory on the S2 as well... just as you stated. Glad that you clarified prior to my inquiry.
@Supadav03 Gotham Knights kinda ended up being kind of Mid, if I remember. But if they could breathe new life in to it via a S2 version, then I'm all for it. Realistically... probably not though.
The coverage of this patent will definitely change the landscape of certain types of games in the future and what developers can and can't use in their game. Its a shame that ideas can be patented in such vague ways and stifle the possibilities of future developments in other franchises outside of "pokemon". This patent could literally be used to attack digimon, TemTem, among others and it is just absurd to allow this mechanic to be "patented".
I've only gotten to play for 1-2 hours so far, but it is really enjoyable and is a great game! The similarities between this and Dead space are sort of there, but more akin to RE4 for me.
On the wii, dragoball z Tenkaichi 2 had the most fun motion controlled gameplay ever and this looks similar to that. I'll probably try it out just for the nostalgic element.

I really didn't enjoy the demo, so it just isn't gonna be the same type of magic as shovel knight was.

Never leave home without the 1TB Express MSD Card for your S2! Which cost almost as much as the whole S2 console, but are worth every penny.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Drag x Drive?
I've not bought the game, even though it literally launched to the bargain bin, but I did play some of the "Global Jam" and will say, the controls worked well, but after about 20 minutes of playing and going through the tutorial I was just flat out bored and have no interest in going any further with this title. I also realize that not every game is for every person and my opinion of that game should NOT sway anyone from enjoying it if they do.
That said, it isn't for me and I will not be voting since I didn't buy the full game and that seems like an unfair vote to make.
It looks very boring from a distance and proved to be that for me. I do hope to see something more exciting utilize the control scheme, I feel like it could work well for some type of mech game, or even a game that uses tanks as the main mode of transport.
