Why don't people seem to know Monster Hunter World IS MH5. And I also don't understand porting XX at this point when World makes so many quality of life improvements that XX would be a huge step backwards.
An original game is the best option but also VERY risky. Because the Switch is the new hotness, making a game on there almost will guarantee losing player base from the home console versions. I know I would stop playing on Xbox if they made MH for the switch with the same mechanics as world. Gameplay > Graphics.
Loved the demo. The resource collecting aspect gets my monster Hunter loop going. Accept side quest- collect resources- upgrade shop, weapon, etc. Then do it all over again.
So hyped for this mode! Too bad about no split-screen. But if they get their account management across systems fixed, then I would FIND the money to get more Switches and copies of the game.
Well, there goes the neighborhood. This guarantees success in Japan. And I know I'm stoked as all can be. Great news for everybody.
Western release is all but confirmed. Considering the dev time bringing it to Switch, there's no reason to not localize it. I'm pretty sure they had some done already for the 3DS version.
Wow. I've played and beaten the game and found it very enjoyable. The game never crashed and the stutters (which were pretty bad) on the last few levels didn't bother me much. ... ... It's so fascinating, thinking how different people's views are about what's "unplayable."
Fantastic news. I had assumed this was the case, but now with confirmation I am glad as all can be. Zelda, Fast, Shovel, Snipperclips, and that's just the first 2 weeks.
This is also a feature I look forward to. But for the meantime I still have to play next to my 3 yr old. My child is also a large reason I'll probably double dip with Mario Kart 8. They have a guided driving feature that prevents falling off the track. Racing together won't be so frustrating for him, which is good news for me.
This makes me happy. True, these games are not new or exclusive, but I think this is a testament to how easy this system is to develop for. This could shape up to be the best way to play indie titles on the go.
I'm hoping for games like this and Mario Kart Deluxe that they put that dang My Nintendo account to work and let us use our gold coins for discounts. And in the case of MK8Deluxe, a discount for previous Wii U owners. But we'll see. I really want more characters for this to be a better package.
Just kidding. I'm glad you listed them here. It makes it easier then clicking that "Load more" button on Nintendo's site. But I also understand why it's not a regular thing. THAT is a lot games...
Subscription service FTW! I recently bought and Xbox One and having only owned a Wii U, I didn't realize how cool games with gold is. But more to the point I also was given a free month of EA access. For $30 a year you have access to some older games from EA's library. Even some recent ones, like Battlefront.
But imagine if Nintendo and other publishers had this for the Switch. It would be awesome! I wouldn't mind paying $90 a year (assuming I subscribe to 3 services at $30/yr) for a great library of games that range from recent to older titles.
A) play at most 2 games at the same time so you don't overwhelm yourself B) beat a game before starting another C) delete digital games you aren't playing. You can back up save data for re-downloading.
I think we can all look at our steam backlogs to know we are going to run out of time in life before playing all those games.
128 GB + 32gb rumored on board doesn't sound bad. But I'll always take more.
Really digging these rumors. I'm at the point of why not? If they said it connected to social media and offered data plans, why not? Make my breakfast while you're at it.
The demo showed me I wasn't good at blast ball. But it also shows me I can't wait for the mission based stuff. It feels good and I love the new art style. Anything Metroid is worth supporting, but I also understand the hate. I'm pre-loading this thing.
I'm actually put off by Pokemon and wanted to buy yokai but funds at the time didn't work out. I want to give the sequel a shot. I've also seen the show on Netflix with my son. Pretty decent.
I think E3 is for them to network with other devs/publishers about the NX. If the rumors about easy porting are true, I think 6-8 months should be enough time to port quite a bit of One and PS4 games. This could build up to one of the best launches in console history... if 3rd-parties join in of course.
This is fantastic news. They've only made one mobile app so far and I don't think it's reflective of the entire mobile strategy. With AC and FE focused on games, I think these apps could be fun. A side story for FE and maybe a way to collect/earn bells in AC that can be transferred to the main game.
Super hyped. I don't buy/play as much as I used to. But these kinds of things help take care of both problems. A good price for a nice backlog of games to work through.
Pretty excited about this. I liked Hunters and am looking forward to the squad base missions. I'm so starved for anything Metroid, I don't mind something in the Metroid "Expanded Universe."
I'm curious, but does anyone know if you can earn gold coins from Miitomo purchases? Maybe that's why they have that $70 tier that doesn't make sense on the eshop but there is a $75 option for Miitomo.
I feel like with all the spongebob hate, patrick is gonna be most popular. But that could also set up yet another where the minority wins the most games and it doesn't matter what was more popular.
Or could this the first in a while of popular = winner? Oh snap. I'm going team Patrick!
These are pretty great considering they are a day and half old.
Miitomo is pretty great for me considering the kind of social circle I have. (read:very small) So I enjoy it and that it gives me Platinum coins to use on My Nintendo.
My Nintendo, and by extension Miitomo, are meant to incentivise purchase activity across Nintendo's platforms. Many complaints people have are exactly why Nintendo chose to make the reward program the way it is. Physical doesn't get points because you can get those cheaper/on sale most times anyway. Points expire because otherwise you aren't encouraged to buy a new game to keep your coin count up.
Nintendo is a business first and your best friend never. We support the big N out of choice and I personally don't mind. I don't mind having discounts on digital, I don't mind being able to afford about 4 - 6 games a year, and I don't mind getting enough coins to buy a few titles on my wishlist.
I also find it interesting that people want to add Miiverse friends considering the kinds of questions Miitomo asks. Its not "behind-closed-door" kind of stuff, but if you are this comfortable communicating with gaming friends they are more than likely your facebook friend as well and by extension are your Miitomo friend as well.
I'm not sure Pokemon battles are what this game is for. Keep in mind that Nintendo still wants to sell Pokemon games.
But how about this? This app will link to the Pokemon bank and we can transfer the caught Pokemon to our 3ds or NX games. Legendaries and special events would require multiple trainers to catch like the super bowl ad suggests. So we aren't just grabbing legendaries like rocks from the ground.
Sounds neat and in line with what has been said so far. The apps will bring consumers to the games and vice versa.
I'm pumped to hear more about Metroid: Federation Force. Everything is just gravy until E3 for me. I love Monster Hunter and hope we get some news. I'm also hopeful that Unity on 3DS brings some good games we don't know about from aspiring developers.
Looking forward to this game. I never played the original on Wii U but always figured with as simple as the gameplay is, the grind would be better suited for the handheld. I hope it gets a good score. At least above a 7.
This was my highlight from Nintendo Treehouse at E3. Looking forward to a release date. I'm not expecting much but a good racing game that is blistering fast.
I'm pretty torn. I want to get Toad Treasure Tracker or Fire Emblem: Awakening. But I'm not really a fan of turn-based combat, but I've heard that even if that's the case, FE:A is just THAT good.
I'm also on the fence about Hyrule Warriors. It seems like it would be a better handheld game due to it's hack n' slash nature. But I can't decide whether to get it on Wii U on sale or wait till 3DS...
I was disappointed like everyone else the first day, but even then I really dug quite a few titles. I plan to check out some of the Nindies and that Neo Racing game now looks like a must buy after the Treehouse display.
I think it's important for people to realize that Nintendo isn't the only option for gaming and even though they did drop the ball at E3, if they are a company they want to see continue, then the customers need to support them by buying games. If not, then just let them fall by the wayside. But I can also guarantee that those that want to Nintendo to throw in the towel would be the first to cry that they are gone.
Great Interview. I would remain optimistic for any countries excluded from this bundle. I think more will come. Glad to see Nintendo take initiative with indie exposure.
I really like this one. I'm not really into puzzle games, so Shuffle didn't do anything for me. But a plain beat 'em up is great for those times when I know I can't hash out a full fight in MH4U. But as a working father, short bursts of gaming suit me.
Why don't people delete old software that they aren't using. The amount of 3ds games and eshop games that 32gb can hold is too much for one person to play at any given time. It's like having over 1000 friends on a social networking site. (FYI: A lot of those people aren't really your friends.)
I delete what I'm done playing and keep what I like to go back to from time to time.
Oh my gosh. Thanks a lot. I kept seeing these codes and wishing I could get one, but figured I could wait. But when I punched one in and it worked I got so excited. Let the hunt begin!

Re: Brawlout Could Keep Smash Bros. Fans Busy on Switch Later This Year
If it's cheaper than Smash, sure. I'm not to big fan of Smash, but if this satisfies the tabletop itch to fight a local fight, then this'll do.
