Its a cute design. How hard would it have been to simply show it to Nintendo and ask for licence? There are so many accessory companies so I don't think it would be that hard to legally make this.

That last one clearly has no idea what an Animal Crossing game is. An open world Animal Crossing just wouldn't fit the franchise.

For perspective, Doom Eternal is on multiple platforms, Animal Crossing is only on Switch. The amount of copies they had to sell to beat Doom Eternal to the top spot has to be staggering.

Exactly, it is almost as if developers asked permission first instead of just using Nintendo IP without permission.

As for Sega, they are fine with Sonic fan games because they have no idea how to make a great Sonic game any more. The last great Sonic game in recent years is Sonic Mania and Sega had nothing to do with it.

Yes, other companies allow fan made creations but that is up to them. The team behind Sonic Mania asked permission to get the license and Sega said yes. Nintendo is branching out a lot more recently. Has anyone ever put together an idea and actually applied to get the rights to a Mario game? Oh right, Ubisoft asked with Mario and Rabbids and they made a massively well received game.

When will people learn that you cannot just use someone's IP without permission?

So far I have got a home, paid off the loan, added 3 more fruit to my island set up and donate enough for the museum, helped start and set up the shop and invite more villagers to my island, and I have only been playing a day and a bit. This game is so addictive.

Also, I do not see the point in achievements in most games but this game has achievements done right. Get an achievement, get Nook Miles.

As for Captain Marvel, people really have a hard time understanding how a woman was abducted and brainwashed into being a ruthless Skrull killing machine with surpressed emotions. I thiught her performance was fine even though the movie was about as good as any other solo Marvel movie. It was better than The Incredible Hulk, Captain America The First Avenger, Thor Dark World, and Iron Man 3 though.

G1 Megatron reissues only happen in Japan, so if Nintendo did go knocking it would limit the places they could sell it. That said, there are plenty of online retailers that buy those reissues and sell them world wide. All they need is an orange tip added to the barrel to make them viable. If they use this colour scheme though, it might be ok to sell as is.

@RasandeRose Nintendo has a shaky relationship with Korea. Piracy is massive there. It was not uncommon for people to sell hacked Wii consoles or Nintendo DS consoles with rom cards at retail stores. The 3DS was delayed quite a long time because of this and they didn't even bother releasing the Wii U there. Customers had to import from Japan. Switch seems to be doing well in Korea though so things are turning around for them.

I can't believe companies have to apologise to people for this. Anyone should realise that peoples health should always come before manufacturing games consoles or shipping toys etc.

@fadedcolors What do you think Pokemon Crystal, Emerald, Platinum, Black/White 2, Ultra Sun/Moon were? Also, you don't have to buy the DLC, the Pokemon can be brought over on Pokemon Home, and you can get them though trades for free.

@PBandSmelly Actually, it has been proven by people who actually know what they are talking about that models (Not all admittedly) have been updated at mesh level and I'm sorry to tell you those mobile games are using the 3DS textures which are better than the 3DS can display but are not HD. @PBandSmelly except the Pokemon in those 200 are mostly not in the game files, and the first batch of content isn't ready till June, so, they don't just magically appear. They showed Pokemon from all generations. Barring the first 151 Pokemon, the rest do not have HD textures so they will all need remade too.
