Re: Nintendo Asks That You Don't Co-Stream The E3 2021 Nintendo Direct, Thanks Very Much

Trikeboy

@electrolite77 Who is stopping you from watching a live reaction? You are moaning about Nintendo taking views away from content creators, but you are fine with content creators taking views away from Nintendo? Hypocrite. All they ask is you also have the stream for Nintendo open at the same time so both your favourite content creator gets your views and Nintendo gets their views.

Re: Nintendo Asks That You Don't Co-Stream The E3 2021 Nintendo Direct, Thanks Very Much

Trikeboy

That sounds perfectly reasonable to me. Nintendo will be tracking how many people are watching to gauge the viewership. If you are watching a person that is watching it, then there will be lower numbers on their streams. You can upload a full reaction after with no restrictions. Also do you really want to be watching for the first time then have "HEEEEEEYYYYYYYY!!!! WOOOOO!!!!!!" go right over some information?

Re: Nintendo's Official Website Reveals Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope, Coming To Switch In 2022

Trikeboy

@COVIDberry I agree, but why steal to learn? Would you walk into a book shop, pick up a educational book and walk out of the store without paying? Even if you are making a spiritual successor, no need to use graphics someone else owns. Geometric shapes work just as well as stolen graphics. The first game I designed was a Donkey Kong style game, but I didn't take any of Nintendo's graphics while working on the early builds to get the game working.

RIP Challenge
unknown - 2021

Why not have difficulty options? Unlimited lives and Tails assist on easy, limited lives with Tails assist on normal, limited lives and no Tails assist on hard. You know, so the beginners can hone their skills with one game, like how it has been done for decades.

Re: Talking Point: amiibo Have Always Been Physical DLC, Skyward Sword HD Is No Different

Trikeboy

@electrolite77 Yeah, just like when people used to buy Action Replay/Gameshark carts. Those weren't free. You buy a thing and can do extra stuff. I remember buying a Gameboy memory card for multiple save files for Pokemon. That would have been considered by some a QoL thing, but you had to buy a separate piece of hardware to do it. The only time I have disagreed with how Nintendo handled amiibo content is locking a whole mode behind one with Metroid Samus Returns. That one was excessive. This one is a pointless feature that is more like a cheat code than a feature.

Re: Talking Point: amiibo Have Always Been Physical DLC, Skyward Sword HD Is No Different

Trikeboy

@electrolite77 How exactly is it a QoL thing when you can warp to the sky when inside a dungeon? It takes any and all challenge out of the game if you can just run away. QoL should make the game better to play, not take the challenge out of the game. Skyward Sword has a stealth section that removes all your items. You have to get through it all. If during play you are hurt, just warp away and heal? If that is what you call QoL then you really must suck at Zelda games. It is an Action Replay code for running away, not a QoL feature.

Re: Yes, Link's Improved "Fast Travel" In Skyward Sword HD Really Does Seem To Be Locked Behind An amiibo

Trikeboy

This amiibo, that is a "Run Away" option. If you think a "Run Away" option is a much needed option, you suck at Zelda games. Even in the middle of a dungeon if things are going rough, you can just choose an option to run away and stock up then return right to the exact same place you were having trouble? Why bother buying the game if you can't handle it? This is worse than an easy mode. I'll be buying the amiibo, but only for the model. I won't be unboxing it. I don't need to run away.

Re: Nintendo Reveals New Zelda & Loftwing amiibo For Skyward Sword HD

Trikeboy

@TheFullAndy Now I understand your confusion: "adding in a way to play a Wii game as intended WITHOUT motion controls" I was meaning the contents of the game, not the control style. For example the door eyes where you have to rotate the sword to open. They haven't altered the game content to make the button control mode. That is a quality of life upgrade, not run away mode like this amiibo.

Re: Nintendo Reveals New Zelda & Loftwing amiibo For Skyward Sword HD

Trikeboy

@TheFullAndy "So, adding in a way to play a Wii game as intended WITHOUT motion controls" They are adding in button controls to a Wii game. A game that was intended to play WITH motion controls. Do you just suck at reading comprehension as well as Zelda games? Putting in button controls is a quality of life improvement. You were complaining about other companies make quality of life improvements as standard, but not Nintendo. However, Nintendo are adding in button controls as standard as a quality of life improvement. You are complaining Nintendo don't do it, when they literally showcased a quality of life improvement in the reveal trailer. As for this amiibo, it isn't a quality of life thing, it is basically a cheat for people who suck at Zelda games.

Re: Nintendo Reveals New Zelda & Loftwing amiibo For Skyward Sword HD

Trikeboy

@TheFullAndy "Go ask Nintendo how they think this is acceptable in this day and age when other companies are pushing for accessibility/quality of life options in their games as standard?"

So, adding in a way to play a Wii game as intended WITHOUT motion controls is not Nintendo adding accessibility/quality of life options?

Re: Nintendo Reveals New Zelda & Loftwing amiibo For Skyward Sword HD

Trikeboy

@screechums This website doesn't show when you edit your comments. How sad that you have to edit your comment to make a comeback.

If they limited it to the overworld only, you might have a point, but since you can also do it in dungeons, that makes it an easy mode. Say you are in a dungeon, you run out of arrows, so you amiibo out, refill your arrows and go right back to where you were, fully refreshed. That is bordering on Action Replay/Gameshark codes.

Re: Rumour: We're Getting A 'Pokémon Presents' Broadcast Next Month

Trikeboy

@Pokester99 That is the weakest response ever. Game Freak chose Bandai Namco, TiMi and ILCA to make the games. Why is it ok to whine and blame Game Freak for games you don't like, but don't praise Game Freak for games that are well received by fans? You are just as bad as the morons that criticize Kathleen Kennedy when they don't like something in Star Wars, but never praise her when there is something they do like in Star Wars.

Re: Rumour: We're Getting A 'Pokémon Presents' Broadcast Next Month

Trikeboy

@Kelnos @Pokester99 @dont_simp_for_them Yes, I know, I was hoping Pokestar99 would say something like "thank you Bandai Namco", and he did. Funny that Pokester99 says thanks to Namco but complains about Game Freak when Game Freak aren't the ones developing UNITE and BDSP. Shouldn't you be praising Game Freak since the answer to his leading question: "Who gets a say into what should or shouldn't be published?" is Game Freak? You aren't a hypocrite are you Pokester99?

Re: Review: Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir - A Delightful And Silly Mystery

Trikeboy

@LXP8 I certainly think developers should be paid. You are the one moaning about the price of TWO games, not one, being packaged together at £50 by dismissing it as "just a visual novel" when they are clearly more than that. Compare the games to their original form and you can clearly see the developers of these remakes have done a lot of work to more than justify the price of the games.
