"For damages and attorney fees" That's prob just about all fees — with some high priced lawyers representing Nintendo, which I'm sure is all Nintendo was going for. The "big" number (to us commoners) is a deterrent to others from doing similar in the future.
I think was more struck by what they said about the Zelda anniversary... something to the effect of no campaigns or switch titles planned... so no HD anniversary collection?! WW and TP are certainly needed on switch and that should be such a no brainer.
The no plan was as big of news to me as most any reveal. Dang.
Could change once I get a try on them, but the current plan is traditional for single player/ story mode and motion for anything multiplayer. Multi for these games always seem so lighthearted anyways, so I like to just go for it and not worry if a shot gets botched by a weird input.
@ThomasCasson
I was just presenting another option (all could, no should) — just paying for it. Though I did acknowledge what you were getting at.
And my sharing that I personally wouldn't profit off my friends is simply my opinion.
No where in my comment was I telling anyone how to live their lives — sorry that's how you read it.
EDIT: sorry that's how it came across* Not pointing fault to interpretation, I could have phrased it better.
@ThomasCasson ...or you could just pay for it? I get what you're saying, but to make a profit on it? I just pay for it outright and added friends to stay connected through online games. The "profit" is being able to play with your friends. What's $50 a year (here)? Less than a specialty coffee per month.
While some will argue the specific ranks, the Zelda games and Pokemon games for me were the absolute best of the GBC library. So seeing Oracles, Link's Awakening, and Gold/ Silver/ Crystal all in the top 10 just makes sense. Ranks will always vary slightly, but the right ones are near the top, for me. Solid list — makes me want to dig out these carts and give em another go.
@abbyhitter Agreed for Switch copy. I've been playing on Xbone recently and even there it certainly has its quirks. I can't imagine toughing through it running on Switch hardware.
@Bret Maybe... with the open spaces on the character screen, plus a couple/few courses you'd look at maybe $20-$25 extra? While that would bring the cost of the game over $100, I guess it isn't terrible.
Nintendo eshop page states that the game "Offers In-Game Purchases" so it seems pretty safe to say there will be some sort of paid DLC. I just wonder how much it'll end up costing for all the content...
On a lighter note... I'm looking forward to some of these! Been waiting on Mario golf for a long time, and I never played Skyward Sword so I'll be getting that! Then hopefully a Zelda35 announcement or two comes in there as well!
Some form of modified gamepass would be great. I'm sure they could make it recognize it's running on a Switch and filter out any games available on Switch already.
MS could use this strategy to basically make Sony PS an afterthought going forward, and (extreme outcome) have no competition if they decide to release another heavy hitter console for those that want the tech specs. With this, Nintendo consoles would effectively be the series s entry point to the xbox ecosystem.
Extreme outcome to a somewhat unlikely scenario. But hey, we're in the rumour section, dare to dream.
Nahh. "is_crda_fw_update_supported" definitely refers to the Canadian Resort Development Association firewall update. Meaning we'll soon start to see switch docks in every hotel room with additional security built in. You heard it here first 🤫
Another great Back Page! Thanks, Kate! I'm glad most people are taking these as they seem to have been intended. For all the others, I don't understand the need to even open the article? I get if you read a review or other type of write that takes a twist you don't agree with, yea you may want to voice your differing opinion. But for these, there's no surprise in what these articles are about — if you're looking for serious stories/ leaks/ announcements... why are you looking to the Back Page?
Was it the Xbox Elite controller that you could customize online with the colour, buttons, etc. online before ordering? I don't recall the name, but that concept for Nintendo would be brilliant! Of course, like many here have said... fix the drift issue first before making more expensive joy-con options.
@Giancarlothomaz
Yup, I remember this. And the marketing aspects make perfect sense. While I do think it will happen, I'm trying to keep emotion out of it in terms of what's included.
I'd love to see WWHD, which you might have guessed! But dont want to raise the bar in my mind. I know I'll buy whatever collection comes, so if it doesnt meet those expectations, I may not feel as excited about the purchase.
Will have to check this out! Trying to not get my hopes up for Zelda getting the all stars treatment, or at least the titles I would like to see included... I've been let down before!
@KateGray Fantastic article. You've quickly become my favourite writer here with your style and opinions that tend to mirror my own. This one solidified it as your story greatly aligns with my first Pokemon game experience, too - with Silver, and my older brother having Gold. Always looking forward to reading your latest take. Cheers

Been waiting for this for years. Looking forward to giving it a shot myself on Friday.
Re: Free Updates Will Add Additional Characters And Courses To Mario Golf: Super Rush
The ol' moustached tyrannomarius rex running down the fairways in Super Rush would be quite the sight.

Re: What Are Your Favourite Switch Online SNES And NES Games? Nintendo Wants To Know
@ThomasCasson
Again, all could and no should. I wasn't telling you how to live your life. No bricks were coming down. None of that.
I shared an opinion on the internet without condemning anyone or saying they weren't smart. Apologies for the poor phrasing in the original comment.
Cheers.

Re: Nintendo Halts Distribution Of Switch System Update 12.0.3
It popped up saying to update a few hours ago. I did and it seems fine? Regardless, hope those effected get a fix soon.
Re: Random: Logan Paul Thinks The Pokémon Card He Wore To The Mayweather Fight Is Now Worth A Million Dollars
Never heard of him. From how this article went, I'm glad I hadn't and hope I don't again. We're doomed if this is what attracts 20m followers.

Re: Netflix Is Reportedly Eager To Expand Into Video Games
Telltale Games could have a space here, based on Netflix originals. Beyond that I'm not sure what would be too successful as a part of Netflix.

Re: Sonic The Hedgehog's Physical Card Game Locks In A September Release
Sounds like a radio show cash game... "Do I try and get more but risk losing it all, or stop with what I got?"
Re: Rumour: Multiple Parties Reportedly Interested In Buying Square Enix
That Balan Wonderworld has really turned some heads!
In all seriousness though, I hope they get left alone. Or left to continue their own course, at least.

I struggle enough with the original, let alone with other people sending more ghosts my way. But I have online, so may as well give it a shot.
