They just need to start giving My Time at Portia away for free. It's so broken and buggy even after so many updates. I really wanted to like that game on Switch.
Anyone know which of the Yuka Lalees is worth playing?
Is Team17 ever going to bring more Worms games to Switch?
A lot of people want a World Party port.
@pixelpatch Impossible Lair is best!
Oh, boy. Here come the crazy E3 sale prices. Some of those deals look impressive.
I'm assuming most people have noticed the trend; there are always crazy sale prices around E3.
Next stop, Amazon day, crazy micro SD card sale prices. Let's see what those 1TB cards drop.
I'd get Yooka Lalee but I'm playing Ori and have um.... The pinball metroidvania game that looks really similar.
I will pick up Blasphemous and Narita Boy though for sure.
@abbyhitter they're planning a catch-up update this summer, but even as of now, the game has been playable just fine for the dozens of hours I've already poured into it. The only perplexing bug I ever caught was getting stuck in ruin walls at times, but quick teleport option provided in these areas makes it negligible.
I'm mainly looking forward to the patches because they're expected to update a certain character's questline in a certain way.
@pixelpatch only played impossible layer, but it was a whole lot of fun
Edit: especially worth it at this price
great games, good discounts, but please clarify which game is actually have 90% discount, the maximum i see is only up to 80%
I just might be up for some Impossible Lair~~
I might consider the Yooka-Laylee games. I did back the Original enough to get the PS4 Version.
@abbyhitter Agreed for Switch copy. I've been playing on Xbone recently and even there it certainly has its quirks. I can't imagine toughing through it running on Switch hardware.
Blasphemous is amazing and currently £7.99 on the UK eshop
I noticed that DLC for Overcooked 2 and Moving Out are also on sale. I already had the Overcooked 2 DLC but I got the Movers in Paradise DLC and Narita Boy, which I was pleasantly surprised at being on sale since it's a recent release.
Impossible Lair is generally accepted as the better of the two Yooka-Laylee games.
Still waiting for them to bring an Amiga Port of Alien Breed
This sale is also in the UK e-Shop (I presume rest of Europe as well). And I can thoroughly recommend Yoku's Island Express (which isn't in the list above, but is in the UK sale).
Worms is great for that price!
@ExtravagantLuig I have both downloaded. I’ve played a little of both. I prefer the Impossible Lair. Do I have to play the first game, in order to understand the second?
I already have the amazing Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair - Donkey Kong Country fans should definitely check it out! Ageless and Going Under are tempting me.
Just got Blasphemous from russian eshop! Bargain for sure
@Strife89 Been playing through the DKC games with my wife, and we're having a blast with them. Will check out this one now, as well as KAZE.
@pixelpatch I played both last year and thoroughly enjoyed both of them. Yooka-Laylee got mixed reviews but I honestly thought it was tons of fun. It definitely has some outdated gameplay mechanics, some of the worlds are a bit empty, and it doesn't really add anything new to the genre, but reading some of the reviews I almost felt like I was playing a different game. I really hope they do a proper 3D sequel at some point.
Having said that, Impossible Lair was way better received, so you might want to go with that. It's very similar to the Donkey Kong Country games, with an overworld that functions almost as a seperate game, with puzzles you solve to unlock more levels. Both are great and offer a decent amount of playtime
I'll probably pick up Narita Boy tonight, I keep hearing mixed things about it but all the footage I see of it looks really cool
@pixelpatch Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is my GOTY 2019. It's very good, especially if you like the old Donkey Kong Country games.
@pixelpatch Impossible Lair is best, but honestly, both are worth picking up at that those prices.
@JBone my thoughts on Yooka-Laylee exactly. Much better than the reviews I read too. 8/10 from me.
Impossible Lair is 10/10 from me. Incredible game.
Blasphemous for 10 is a MUST.
@pixelpatch actually both, but some people have weird issues with the 3D one. Not sure why :S
@outsider83 no, you don't. Both games work for themselves.
@Ulanda cool! Thanks! I had just finish Odyssey, when I decided to play the first game. BIG MISTAKE! 😂
@pixelpatch
The Impossible Lair is excellent. Almost as good as Tropical Freeze.
@pixelpatch it's a buggy mess. not recommended.
I kinda want to get Yooka-Laylee...I dunno, Feel like I'll end up playing for a couple of days and then forget about it completely like with the second game.
@pixelpatch I wasn't a fan of the first game, but Impossible Lair is amazing
@outsider83 I understand what you mean. I actually liked the first game, though it had a lot of troublesome moments. It isn't easy to make a good Banjo game.
I grabbed Yooka-Laylee. I figured it's worth at least $9.99.
@pixelpatch Impossible Lair is fantastic!
If you’re on the fence about going under and reading this, get it
@pixelpatch I enjoyed the first one a lot. I haven't played the second one yet (I own it), but most people seem to think it's the best of the two.
@abbyhitter true, bought it as well and literally played an hour until i lost my patience.
