Curve Digital was quite active in its support for the Wii U and 3DS eShop, particularly the former. It published the likes of Thomas Was Alone and OlliOlli on Nintendo hardware, and has now confirmed two games that it's bringing to the Switch.
Below are trailers and some official game descriptions for these.
The Flame in the Flood (developed by The Molasses Flood)
A rogue-lite river journey through the backwaters of a forgotten post-societal America. Forage, craft, evade predators.
From the Art Director of BioShock and a team of veterans of the BioShock, Halo, Guitar Hero and Rock Band series comes The Flame in the Flood.
Travel by foot and by raft down a procedurally-generated river as you scrounge for resources, craft tools, remedy afflictions, evade the vicious wildlife, and most importantly, stay ahead of the coming rains.
Human: Fall Flat (developed by No Brakes Games)
The world of Human: Fall Flat features advanced physics and innovative controls that cater for a wide range of challenges. Bob’s dreams of falling are riddled with puzzles to solve and distractions to experiment with for hilarious results. The worlds may be fantastical, but the laws of physics are very real.
Will you try to open that mysterious door, or would you rather see how far you can throw a speaker set out that window? Includes local co-op.
The Flame in the Flood is due in October, while Human: Fall Flat will come "at a later date".
Do you like the look of these games?

Even MORE games. The first game looks pretty good, I like the idea of escaping from natural disasters and stuff. The second looks good for laughs.
The Flame in the Floods looks INCREDIBLE. I've been really craving this sort of game ever since I fell in love with Don't Starve. Day one for me!
The Flame and the Flood looks really nice. Eurogamer were very positive about the Steam version. Human Fall Flat I'm not sure about but it's also had some decent reviews.
The river game looks good but it's not really my thing. The second game reminds me of Octodad, which my kids love playing with me, so that will probably be a buy for me.
Flame in the Flood is one to keep an eye on.
Both these games look really interesting!!! I might pick them up if the price is good. I loved Thomas was Alone and Human: Fall Flat seems to have a similar mood so it could be really interesting.
Both look great. I'll keep a look out for them.
Both of these look very nice.
I can't wait for the switch humble bundle that includes these.
They look interesting, especially the first game.
"More good stuff on the way" haven't you heard? There has to be any kind of stuff for MORE to come. /Sarcasm
The first game looks good, but the second isn't for me.
The Switch will have over 200 games by CHRISTmas at this rate and a lot worth having! The Wii U already feels like an old system.
They are both games I'd play but I'd rather play human:fall flat.
Down for the flame in the flood. Looks very interesting.
Gimme Flame in the flood!! Day one.
The Flame in the Flood is due out on Switch in October according to Curve Digital.
I had seen The Flame in the Flood before on PC and it's definitely interesting, looking forward to finally be able to play it. More PC indies!
Wow, I don't like survival games but I'll be picking up The Flame in Flood based on the art alone.
Well The Flame in the Flood looks right up my alley. Rogue lite is definitely my new favourite genre.
The Flame in the Flood looks very good.
Human Fall Flat seems pretty fun with two players. It put a smile on my face after the first 20 seconds. Before that, I was like; "What the..." so I think that's a good sign.
The flame in the flood looks like it could be a good time.
Ah the beginning of Digital only games gotta love it. Err ah put up with it. The river game looks very cool. Hope it's a good peice
Both games look interesting. But the first one is rogue (of course) and I hate that.
the flame in the flood looks great.
These look far more interesting than Thomas Was Alone and OlliOlli ever did to me
@Windy "Ah the beginning of Digital only games gotta love it. "
That comment makes no sense. Its not like these would exist otherwise since they are not retail games
I'm quite glad The Flame and the Flood is not an Xbox One exclusive
The Flame in the Flood looks friggin awesome. It seems to match the season in which it released on the Switch.. I'll definitely give that one a go in October.
I'll be picking up the flame in the flood
I've been a bit fatigued by roguelike/lite titles recently, but The Flame in the Flood has my complete and undivided attention.
+1 for The Flame in the Flood. A great game for sure.
great news! I will definitely get The Flood, have been looking forward to play this already
I have a folder on my WiiU with all of Curve's games in it. I'll be happy to start one on my Switch.
I have FitF on PC--it's vastly overrated and a pretty poor roguelike.
Honestly I would love to see both olliolli games.
I wonder how many Switch games were announced just this week?
Once upon a time, there was an offshoot of Oregon Trial called Amazon Trial...Flame in the Flood kinda got me excited because it made me think back. Then I saw its user metacritic scores...it's been massacred by players.
@Mando44646
If you try to make some sort of statement, I don't see why you chose OlliOlli and Thomas Was Alone?
The Flame In the Flood and Human Fall Flat are the first Curve titles for Switch, so it would make more sense to put these ones next to the first Wii U releases, which were Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut and Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones, followed by The Swapper.
Or you take all into account, which includes Nova-111, Ultratron, Pumped BMX+ and The Swindle as well as the two games you cherry-picked.
I'm just saying, Curve released a great selection of games on the Wii U eShop. I wouldn't say their Switch output is better now (we will see about that when the games are released) Curve's output was on a higher standard than many other publishers. They started business with Nintendo by collaborating with them (similar to what SFB Games did with Snipperclips) and produced the first party WiiWare game Hydroventure which is a perfect 10/10 in my book (for WiiWare standards). They slacked off though, lately, with The Swindle being kinda broken (random freezes that really should have been fixed and the game would be fantastic), and Action Henk and Hue being canceled for Wii U and not announced for Switch, so I'm holding back for now.
I love that the Switch has been getting so many games that I've been interested in through Achievement Hunter. Overcooked, now Human: Fall Flat, and Ultimate Chicken Horse was announced earlier this year as well. Good fun to play with the gf.
These both look nice. Nintendo seems to be getting out of sidescroller purgatory lately, which is good.
Flame in the Flood is a good game. I bought it on Steam on some weekly offer and it was fun to dabble with, definitely worth the small price.
I won't be double dibbing on this one like I will on some others but to everyone who is thinking about it or is on the fence, it definitely is worth a try.
Flame in the Flood is an adorable little thing, glad to have it!
