Re: UK Charts: Pokémon Let's Go Still Clinging Onto Top Ten, Now Outperforming Pokémon X And Y

TheGhostWhoWalks

If you're not going to post the charts in full then don't bother with this sliver of information. Also:

"One million physical game sales generated another £32.6 million last week"

"FIFA 19 is still leading the charge in first place; sales are down by 39% week-on-week"

"with sales for the two games now tracking higher than what Pokémon X and Y achieved after their first three weeks on sale. Considering the 3DS had a larger install base when those games were released"

Where, pray tell, did you get this information? You didn't lick it off the street. Did you work it out? No, it came from here:

https://www.gamesindustry.biz/amp/2018-12-02-uk-charts-fifa-19-retains-no-1-as-darksiders-iii-makes-no-32

"over one million physical games were sold in the UK last week generating £32.6 million."

"FIFA 19 retains No.1, with a 39 per cent drop in sales week-on-week."

"Three weeks in, and Let's Go is now tracking eight per cent ahead of X and Y. Note: Pokémon X and Y was released a year later in the 3DS' lifecycle, so the install base was higher."

This site is no better than Filip Miucin, did you even acknowledge where you got your information from? Of course you didn't. Disgraceful! I hope this opens some peoples eyes. There's a word for this, Filip can tell you what it is. And if this site tries to edit the story later, it doesn't change the fact of what you did.

Re: Fortnite Now Has 200 Million Registered Players, Up 60% Since June

TheGhostWhoWalks

Tabloid style headline. How much of that total does Switch account for? 5%? If even, it's likely much lower. I think a lot of Switch owners out of curiosity downloaded it to see how it looks and performs. I'd say a small percentage actually actively play it on Switch, I know I don't. You need good online and you can't get that most of the time when you're out and about, also using the Joy-Cons is like having little pieces of faeces in your hands. And if you're at home, you may as well play it on a decent system. Let's see Epic or Nintendo give us figures for how many people actively play it on Switch.

This site has no shame whatsoever. Sticking in an ad as usual, trying to make commission on a sale. It's not even a great price, Base and Thegamecollection are selling both versions for £40 each, but maybe they won't pay you for any commission on a sale. So you're looking out for yourselves, rather than informing fans of the best price.

I'm also not surprised by the score. You're as good as on Nintendo's payroll nowadays.

Re: A Decade Later Mario Kart Wii Has Now Sold 37.14 Million Copies Worldwide

TheGhostWhoWalks

@thesilverbrick Did you not read the story? NL are just copying other sites that posted this story yesterday, they're late as usual. I guess that it's still selling somewhat, and that it's passed another million milestone is interesting. People think the Switch is doing well, and it is to a degree. But the Wii is a whole other level, another stratosphere really. It has games that will still have sold more than the Switch will have sold hardware at the end of its cycle. Like, MK8, can anyone honestly see it surpass MK Wii in terms of sales? Not a chance.

Re: Nintendo's UK Chart Presence Takes A Beating This Week As Multi-Platform Stars Lead The Charge

TheGhostWhoWalks

Any chance this site could do its job properly and post the Top 40 like other sites do? Or how about doing some research and noticing the fact that Starlink and Dark Souls have disappeared from the charts completely after only 1 week? It's pee poor journalism. Going further, about half the games in the charts aren't on Switch. It's crap like this that reaffirms why I don't come to this site that often.

Re: Rumour: There Doesn't Appear To Be A Switch Physical Edition For World of Final Fantasy Maxima

TheGhostWhoWalks

Thanks as ever for yesterdays news. No physical, no buy. It's ridiculous, the Vita got a physical version.

Nintendo have botched this generation, thanks to these expensive, limited capacity cartridges. Some companies like in this instance won't make a physical version, others have a sizeable additional digital download on top of the cartridge(ruining the boxart with those disgusting white banners), and then others announce a physical version months, sometimes a year after it's already released digitally(e.g Yooka-Laylee). And then there's other companies that won't bring their game at all to Switch because it's too big, as we heard with Elder Scrolls Online(it's about 75GB in size, though with Switch's weak specs they could probably reduce that somewhat) in the past week.

Square Enix are crazy if they think it's acceptable to charge $40 for a digital copy of an old game. We need to send them a message that it's not.
