The latest UK gaming chart figures are in, revealing that the Switch release of Diablo III: Eternal Collection has helped the game shoot back up to 15th place this week.
Red Dead Redemption 2 has managed to hold on to its first-place position this time around, with a 51% drop in sales from last week still being enough to fight away the competition. Sitting alongside Diablo III as a new release on Switch this week was Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum'n'Fun!, although the game failed to make an impact on the charts.
LEGO Harry Potter Collection also launched on Switch this week, with that version and the also-new Xbox One version helping sales to jump by 683%. These sales see the game re-enter the charts at number eight, with sales expected to maintain some momentum thanks to the upcoming Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald movie hitting cinemas on 16th November.
Here's a look at this week's top ten all formats chart (physical sales only):
1. (1) Red Dead Redemption 2
2. (2) Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
3. (3) FIFA 19
4. (4) Forza Horizon 4
5. (6) Spider-Man
6. (5) Assassin's Creed Odyssey
7. (10) Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
8. (Re-Entry) LEGO Harry Potter Collection
9. (New) Football Manager 2019
10. (12) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

15th place! Over achiever i see! Have a medal!
I bought Diablo 3 and Lego Harry Potter.
Really enjoying Diablo, Harry Potter will probably have to wait until Christmas to be played now.
I was very surprised when I found out that it is at the top of Europe's best sellers eshop list. I wasn't sure if this game would do well, but it seems like it's selling all right. Hopefully this will translate into more support from Blizzard (Overwatch, pretty please).
It is auch an impressive port. I ran nephalem portals on high difficulty as a necromancer with lot of adds and the switch just refuses to frame drop. I am so amazed!!
@Arcade91 riding high in US eshop also. it's gonna be a successful game no doubt
Is football manager 2019 also on Switch?
i picked up DIII and HP lego - loving them both
given Dark Souls to a friend.... DIII is much more accessible imo
So happy diablo 3 is selling well on switch. Picked up my copy Friday and was hard to get a copy as every shop I went to said they sold out. Picking up Lego Harry potter today though for £19.99 at Argos.
Also diablo 3 is fantastic on switch I'm loving it even more and I've played this game 3 times before
@BladedKnight it is probably the best game content for the buck i bought on switch so far
Quite surprised that GTA V is no longer in the top 10!
@beazlen1 coming later in November I think
@ShaiHulud is it so hard for rockstar to port the ps3 version of GTA V on switch? Its almost free money
Mariokart 8 Deluxe hanging in there like stubborn child refusing to go to bed 1 year and 8 months after release. Game has some legs.
More people on my friends list seem to be playing Diablo III than Bayonetta or Donkey Kong when they launched. So I expected it to chart a bit higher.
I guess this isn’t a good indication of physical sales in the UK for various reasons: good digital sales, friends across regions etc etc.
With Red Dead, Smash around the corner, Kingdom Hearts also soon, not thinking of Diablo, a price drop will be very welcome in the few months.
Great stuff, Diablo actually replaced Dark Souls at the top of the European eShop, which is great to see. I'm picking up Harry Potter Lego this week for my son for Christmas.
@gortsi @beazlen1
The version coming to the Switch is the Football Manager Touch 2019 version, though. It should come sometime later this month.
Such a good and fun game
Brutal debut placing for Diablo III. It'll probably disappear next week.
Diablo 3 is awesome! One of my favourite Switch games.
That’s a pretty good result for Diablo, especially at this time of year
DarkSouls: #12 (gone)
Starlink: #14 (gone)
Diablo 3: #15 (???)
Well, at least the overpriced Fails makes DS launch (at an acceptable price for an old port) look better 🙄
RD2, keeps on trucking

@Agramonte feel better? Man, You would probably have a break down without this website lol.
@GrailUK Well - It be more like bored out of my mind at the studio when we have no deadlines if I had no NL 😉
At least when I need to monitor the server updates at midnight (or working with either the South Africa/UK time zone) nobody is around here - so can actually just play with my Switch/2DSXL at my desk not just read about them 😃
15th ain’t bad for a game that just came out last Friday.
Seems like Diablo 3 sold in-line with Dark Souls Remastered at launch, though digital sales appear to be much higher.
@westman98 You can't judge sales by UK charts, as it has never been a great market for Nintendo products. But the good digital sales (at least in Europe) could be caused by the fact that many countries don't have an official Nintendo branch, so distribution is handled by a distribution company. And in these countries, the price of any Nintendo product is crazy high, so it's often more affordable to buy games in the official eshop instead.
@Arcade91
Yeah, we really need more concrete data from other regions outside of the US, UK, and Japan.
There are a lot of Switch games that are selling more in Spain than in the UK despite the Spanish Switch install base being half of its UK install base. And that's just Spain...
@xpromisedx that is truth, as a triple dipper taking a year plus hiatus from it I’m highly impressed as well!
Enjoying Diablo III a lot on the Switch at the moment.
Just put your network settings on Public and join other people in the fray and go on Hack and Slashing!
Start on Normal, work your way through Act I and get some good rare gear, then in Act 2 bump it to Hard and when you start getting your first Legendary pieces and first gem slotted rare gear, bump up to Expert in Act 3..... then keep on leveling through Act 4, level up Armory, Enchanter and Jeweler stations, get lvl4 gems and slot up your gear, then going into Act 5 you can start on Hardcore when reaching level50+ !
