PS4 owners have bigger and better games to choose from. Plus it doesn't have the exclusive Star Fox content that no doubt attributed to its sales on Switch. Regardless, it still sold poorly on Switch as well.
@toiletseatgamer I wouldn't and don't trust them, they've become a bit of a laughing stock with their reviews. I think more and more people are starting to notice and know that they can't be taken seriously.
Isn't it amazing and funny how NintendoLife review scores are always above the average? I said yesterday that they'd be at or near the top of the Metacritic scores and sure enough they are.
76% average over 24 reviews as opposed to NL's bloated 90%. You've sold your soul to Nintendo. Take out NL's typically biased review and it would be another point or two lower.
@sanderev Well it's certainly not this one. They've earned a notorious reputation for being a Nintendo lick-@$$. Metacritic have a round up of the scores. Guess who's right at the top and like I predicted earlier, above the average?
@gortsi While not formally on the site, Google search this, "starlink battle for atlas switch review Christian Donlan" and you'll see it was given 3/5 stars. And don't call me a name again.
How did I know that NintendoLife would give this a high score? It's because this site has Zero credibility when it comes to reviews. You've sold out to be in Nintendo's back pocket. Just read Eurogamer's review and they gave it 6/10, a respectable site. I bet when Metacritic's score page is updated, NintendoLife's score, as per usual, will be right at the top.
These charts are meant to be the Top 40, yet this site only posts the top 10 and only one of the charts. Sites like NintendoEverything put NL to shame every week. You give no explanation either why some of the games are bolded.
Like others have said there's no way Mario Party will be in the top 10 next week. Sales are heavily front-loaded, it'll likely be gone altogether from the charts in a couple more weeks.
@WiltonRoots "It's a bit stupid of me to demand Netflix on my Switch", a $300/€300/£270 device that could easily do so. Thank God Nintendo realised the error of their ways and not let us have a service that was on their past products, e.g. Wii, Wii U, 3DS.
I agree, however, that this is troll article(and a poorly written one at that). It's what this site does best.
Good God NintendoLife is so slow with the news. This story is 3 days old. And of course you've ignored the real story here and how Reggie continues to spout $h~t.
"What we see is a situation where we know that Nintendo Switch is being played in the open, at a park, on a metro bus," he continued. "We believe the easiest way for you to connect and have a peer-to-peer experience with voice chat is with your mobile phone. It’s always there, it’s always with you."
Hello Reggie. You know what else is always there? The Switch. But I expect no less from NintendoLife, very poor journalism. And another thing, how are people supposed to play online in a park? Complete trash from the king of talking garbage.
Or how about this line from the Arstechnica article:
"The short version: Nintendo would rather be defined as an "entertainment" company, not a gaming one."
Great job at entertaining; no Youtube, no Netflix, no apps, no web browser, no messaging, no party chat, etc. Just a plain ol' vanilla handheld. We're supposed to make progress with time, not regress. Plus now we've to pay(Nintendo Switch Online) for this train wreck. The Wii U had all of this stuff and it was free. Having these features would only enhance the Switch and make it a more attractive proposition for potential customers to buy.
Seriously, the NL author of this article should feel embarrassed on leaving out so much crucial information.
@RupeeClock Possibly. But it's not expressed. It's really unprofessional to not state clearly what the prizes are. That photo could just be promotional art.
@SBandy You spend all your time arguing with and calling people names both here and at Eurogamer. Your first comment was preemptive calling people "d1ckh€@ds" before anyone even said anything. You were looking for an argument. You called me a name as well in your response.
Guess who has the most comments in this story? YOU! What a coincidence. This is my last post on the story. I bet you'll carry on though.
Of course the mods won't take any action though I'm sure, even though you blatantly break the rules. People like you and other trolls here are why I hardly ever frequent this site. That and how poorly this site reports and is late with news. I guarantee other respectable Nintendo sites won't be reporting on this clickbait. They focus on real gaming news.
Does this site do any original reporting? I knew upon reading the header that you'd just copied Eurogamer's article and sure enough you did. If you'd bothered to research you'd have noticed that Nike also made a statement.
Quality reporting and journalism. Meanwhile NintendoLife have posted another clickbait story. This story about Ronaldo in relation to gaming is tenuous. If he goes down, who cares? EA will just put someone else on the cover. And NL hardly are concerned about everyones favourite developer and publisher, EA. As I said this is a clickbait story, it's what this site does best.
This site just seems to rehash stories from other sites, often very late and lacking detail.
@Agramonte Exactly. It's trash. It had some initial curiosity at the start for the first 2 kits but it quickly wore off. It failed to reach Nintendo's expectations big-time. If it was a growing brand sales should have been up with this new kit. To say it flopped is the understatement of the century. It crashed and burned, rolled off a cliff and imploded. And 11,000 in Japan, if they don't like this quirky nonsense, no one does.
The charts on this site are terrible but if you see the top 40 for the UK, the 3rd Labo kit is nowhere, at all. Even in the Switch specific chart, it debuted at no.13 and is down to no.17 this week. I hope Nintendo get the message real soon and get back to making real games.
Nintendo have released sweet f-all that's new in 2018 but we got 3 of these cardboard cr@p kits. Seriously, WTF?
@Vandy Why has it sold so poorly? Is it because the reviewers deliberately sabotaged the reviews? This will not be a cult classic, not a chance. The Wonderful 101, that's an example of a cult classic on Wii U.
@Vandy I hope too that others read your review. It's short and you spend at least half of it defending the controls and bashing the naysayers. You finish by saying the game should have scored higher. It's fairly obvious what your agenda was. Dude, a lot of people don't like it, get over it and appear to think you know better than all the reviewers.
I have no idea why this game didn't score at LEAST an 8 with critics. That in itself is extremely questionable.
Congratulations you've figured it out, it's a conspiracy.
@Vandy Not true. More like you didn't think anyone would bother to check the user Metacritic reviews or if they did they wouldn't find it amongst the nearly 500 other reviews. I'd recommend for anybody to read your review and they'll see exactly what your agenda is. You can't deal with the negativity.
Most of them seem to be a backlash of keyboard warriors against the wave of mediocre reviews from professional reviewers. All harping on that the controls are fine when the broad consensus is that they're not. Still even with all the apologists and defenders it's average user review score is 7.5.

Re: 82% Of Starlink: Battle For Atlas Sales Were On Switch In UK, Only Managed 14th In Charts Debut
@luke88 Ya, but this site gave it 9/10. What a surprise.
There's no way of spinning this. Both Starlink and Dark Souls sold poorly.

Of course it does. It may be a powerful handheld but it's a relatively weak console.

Another disgusting and shameless ad.

Breaking Snooze. 😴Thanks, yet again for yesterday's news.

Thanks for yesterdays news.
Re: Get Discounts On Zelda, Super Mario RPG And More With The Latest European My Nintendo Rewards
@Majora101 But the Switch is a handheld.
These discounts only further reinforces and reminds us of how lame the Switch is in terms of Virtual Console.

Advertising for Nintendo UK, are we? No surprise there.
"Win prizes". Could they be any more vague? They don't even say what you could win. It could be nothing more than 100 platinum points.
