I never expected this game to come back after all the mishaps that led to its sequel getting cancelled

Nice to see it's getting a second lease on life. It's a really good puzzle/platformer

I'm honestly a little tired of the 80's Turtles' aesthetic after it's been called back to so many times as of late but this looks like a solid beat em up

I still want a game or TV series that takes place in the Mirage or IDW continuity

When will people realize this argument literally means jack sh*t now when the first third party character in Smash was Solid Snake and was later followed by people like Bayonetta who desecrates angels and strips naked to summon monsters, the Belmonts, whose series is filled with blood, gore and religious imagery that made whoever wrote the Bible crap their pants, and Joker who comes from a series that has a summonable monster who literally looks like a p*nis on a chariot and deals with topics like suicide, mental/physical abuse, the human subconscious, murder and rape.

DOOM Slayer can DEFINITELY be toned down. His violence is still extremely exaggerated and not at all hyper realistic or super detailed like someone like Snake

My Souls stuff is mostly PlayStation-related since only that platform has Demon's Souls and Bloodborne, while I own the Dark Souls trilogy and Sekiro on PC as well, but I'd definitely be down for portable Dark Souls 3

Also totally down for Tales of Destiny remaster

Considering they rated the DLC before the actual game that should've been a dead giveaway

Honestly probably the weakest numbered entry in the series anyway

Honestly at this point I think developers/publishers might've largely realized that online events aren't only capable of allowing them more prep time for a streamlined format that concisely delivers information to consumers, but it's way less costly than renting out theatres or auditoriums for conferences and has the restrictions of select attendees completely removed so in a sense it feels generally more inclusive

Unless E3 can somehow increase the attractiveness of having in person conferences and events again I can see even more publishers backing out next year in favor of delivering info on their own terms

If they won't even acknowledge stuff like Metal Gear's 35th anniversary they're probably not even thinking about even smaller titles

All Stars on Wii was not only limited time and similarly priced, but it was practically completely unchanged from the SNES version and wasn't even based on the more complete version of the game that included Super Mario World

Eh imo it isn't even the best handheld Zelda game

Not only do I think Spirit Tracks is WAY better but A Link Between Worlds and even The Minish Cap easily outclass pretty much every other handheld Zelda game imo

@Moshugan If people are willing to pay like 3000 bucks for a PlayStation 5 or Series X they will totally shell out money for a game like this, especially given the games in this collection

@Zeldafan79 Rondo was actually released on the Wii Virtual Console in 2010. It's completely untranslated presumaby because Sony seems to have some sort of stronghold on the versions of Rondo and Symphony included in The Dracula X Chronicles but it did make at least one appearance on a Nintendo system before unlike SotN

@Balta666 I am on the European Amazon storefront page for the game and there are physical versions planned for launch on both platforms

Only digital-only release will be the PC version

@Ghost_of_Hasashi The Remaster is already out in Japan and it got heavily scrutinized for the fact that on both platforms, especially Switch the framerate was incredibly inconsistent and the biggest perpetrator of drops was the Fiend fights where the performance tanks

It got subsequent patches but the performance is still only mediocre on PS4 and worse on Switch overall

Also Atlus does show a lot of cutscenes in their story trailers but their recent games like Persona 5, Catherine Full Body and even SMT IV all had way more gameplay in their story trailers compared to this one

@OldManHermit Lords of Shadow 2 and to a lesser extent Mirror of Fate were both really bad

They shouldn't have gone the open world route on LoS2 and forcing the game into a contemporary setting part way through just made the story read like bad Castlevania AU fanfiction

It was an interesting take having a Belmont become Dracula and the gameplay was probably on par with Lament of Innocence in terms of enjoyability for me. It, LoI and CoD are probably the only 3D Castlevania games I actually liked

This is one of the worst entries but the music also f*cking slaps

@backup368 Fire Emblem isn't flagship yet but it definitely got a major boost in popularity thanks to the 3DS entries, FE Heroes and especially Three Houses

Three Houses basically did for Fire Emblem what Persona 4 did for its series in bringing a ton of people into it

@Snatcher Considering how bad Nintendo are at treating franchises that aren't their flagships, or RPG-related like Xenoblade and Fire Emblem, Banjo's chances of getting new games won't increase that much more if they were still with Nintendo

Banjo-Kazooie could've just as easily gotten the F-Zero treatment where they had a major presence to a point and then just became a non-entity after one more console generation, being relegated to an obligatory Smash fighter

The amiibo has more character thanks to the Jiggie platform but they both look really solid

Kind of trippy seeing Banjo and Kazooie amongst a slew of other Totaku figures that are based almost completely on Sony stuff

Honestly I can understand the exclusion of themes considering the Switch Home menu as it is really doesn't look like it's designed to accomodate for stuff like background artwork or visuals since the game tiles take up so much real estate

Honestly now that there are reports of the PS Store on Vita closing I might dig into the PSP-era MH games to see what all the hype was about pre-MH3

I'm probably picking this up for PC though. The Switch footage I've seen makes the game look really muddy imo

@RadioHedgeFund I think the Wii had a wider reach for a time considering it wasn't squarely aiming to be a console for the hardcore gaming crowd but by the end of the generation I just thought Xbox 360s and PS3s became more commonplace, especially after they introduced their own peripherals for the casual crowd while still being targeted towards core gamers

@Kimyonaakuma On the point about Steam I bet both Nocturne and P5S were originally never slated for PC and just PS4/Switch but they were added to the dev schedule last minute because Atlus was impressed by how well Persona 4 Golden did. That's probably why these games were delayed, particularly Strikers

Not even getting into stuff like the godawful OST its story is super paper thin with an incredibly flat antagonist and the battle system's overreliance on touch inputs and how easy they were to screw up due to how quick in succession they came broke the pacing of battles significantly

Also the Mass Effect-like dialogue tree is leagues below anything else BioWare has done and doesn't feel like it has long term consequences for your actions compared to those other games

@Kalmaro Apex still has a pretty large community on other platforms. It's probably the best "trendy" game I had played before dipping my toes into Fall Guys

I tried to hold out as long as I could because I didn't want Nintendo getting the idea that I supported their limited availability bs but it's already sold like a bajillion copies so it's not like it's going to make a difference now. The artificial scarcity stuff has already worked. At least playing Galaxy in bed will be worth it

If I can find it for cheaper than full price that'll be even better because I still don't think the collection as it is is worth anywhere near 80 CAD without extras and the mostly barebones emulation
