Re: Rumour: Sonic's New Game Might Be An Open-World Adventure, Called Sonic Rangers

@Carck ”3-4 games”??

I don’t share the same hate-boner for Sonic that many other people on this site have but claiming that only 3-4 of Sonic’s games in the last 20 years have been pretty trash seems unreasonable. Apart from Mania (which as far as I know the Sonic Team didn’t develop) most of Sonic’s main adventures since Generations have been mediocre at best, not mentioning the widely-panned installments from before that too. That’s only the last few years, much less 20 years!

In my opinion, good Sonic games are def the minority, not the other way around.

@DakkaDakka "Their faith"? Yeah, no. Not quite.

No, the regime was pretty much atheist. The higher-ups supported the boycott of Christianity and most influencial nazis very much despised religion, except for, perhaps, certain variations that supported their twisted ideology.

A majority of the population was still Christian, yes, and so it would be perfectly reasonable for them to reopen churches as to tell the native population that they aren't as bad as their previous occupiers.

Also, I don't know if you were saying that the Wehrmact were the ones that reopened the churches or just that it was an event that took place after they took over, but the Wehrmact was made up of regular men, not necessarily supportive of their regime, so it would once again be perfectly understandable for them to do something like that (even though the orders would still be proclaimed in favor of the regime, obviously).
