Def recommend getting Hollow Knight if you haven’t already.

Though I’m currently preferring Ori and the Blind Forest which is pretty similar

Finished Ni No Kuni. It’s a great RPG but as always with these types of games I was ready for the end before I got there.

Started Ori which I’m loving.

Eagerly anticipating The Witcher 3 reviews. Any one know when they’ll be out?

I chose Ni No Kuni over DQ11 so I’m working my way through that. I’ll prob skip DQ now as the Witcher 3 comes out soon.

I tried Skyrim but couldn’t get into it due to having no idea what to do and being overwhelmed with options - does The Witcher 3 hold your hand a little more?

I’m loving this game. I was going to buy DQ11 but this came out first so DQ can wait now. I prob won’t play them back to back so it might be waiting a while

Finished links awakening earlier in the week but going to go back for some fishing and secret hunting - great game.

I’ve also just started Ni No Kuni which seems amazing and has a great intro.

Also bought sonic mania for some respite from epic Rpg’s

@Donutsavant yeah it’s a gorgeous game. I’m about 3-4 hours in but it’s not hooked me yet.

I’ll probably go back to it after links awakening. It’s a bit more hack and slash and a little less Zelda than I was expecting

Also going to pick up DQ11 next week - so little time.

Holy sh*t! That opening sequence is a masterpiece.

So I’ve just bought this and Ni No Kuni physical at full price which is something I hardly ever do. It hurt handing over my card but hoping to get my moneys worth!

Completed Mario World and can’t decide whether to move onto Super Metroid or ALTTP...

Also working my way slowly through Darksiders which is good but not fully hooking me for some reason

Finally completed Super Mario World for the first time ever! Just need to beat Metroid and ALTTP now!

I thought this was the weakest Direct since the switch came out. Happy for the SNES games but other than that there was nothing I’ll be buying (that I didn’t already know about)

This year hasn’t felt great for games I’m excited about on switch and then September happens...

Darksiders - seems decent enough so far. Quite similar to God of War

Also Project vice something or other on NES which is surprisingly good

No it looks great visually but prob going to skip this as I didn’t like Bayonetta.

I did buy Darksiders last night though which I’d never heard of but looks amazing

Just finished the demo (8.5 hours) really loved it. Def picking this one up just wish it wasn’t such a long wait!

I didn’t really enjoy Bayonetta. It felt like it was playing itself half the time so I’m probably going to skip this unless the hype becomes too much.

I thought it looked good when I saw the Announcement trailer but was on the fenc as I’m not usually a big jRPG guy.

The demo has convinced me and I’ll be buying the full game.

Just hope I have the patience to finish it.

@dugan yeah I really loved it. I’d had my eye on it for a while but feared it might just be a poor Zelda clone.

Usually by the time I’m coming to the end of a game I’m ready to put it away but I wanted more with Blossom Tales.

I finished Blossom Tales yesterday which surprisingly has become one of my favourite games on Switch and it only cost me £6!

I’ve started the DQ11 demo. I wasn’t planning on buying the game but it looks like that plan has changed. Such a gorgeous looking game.

Really pleased they’ve put a demo out for this as I liked the look but wasn’t sure it’d be my kind of thing.

Loaded the demo last night and it’s absolutely gorgeous.

Going to enjoy trying the demo and will buy the game if it holds my attention

I spent 20 hours on Doom 3 and felt that was a little too long. Might pick this up on sale

My original NES lasted me for years and years but by the end I had to turn up upside down, hit the side of it and other bizarre methods to get it reading cartridges.

Never had a problem with SNES or GameCube.

I have very occasional joycon drift but nothing too bad on switch. Not had any problems with the console and mines a day one model.

Hoping to finish Doom 3 this weekend - first time I’ve ever played a FPS game al the way through. I’ve loved it but looking forward to finishing it now.

Once that’s done I’ll be playing Blossom Tales for a lovely change of gaming style

Doom 3 which I’m loving! Reminds me of resident evil 2 in that I’m nervous every time I turn a corner.

Also got the demos of Mario aces and cadence of hyrule as well as DC Online or whatever it’s called to have a go at.

@Sahnec nope. I’m in the same boat. It’s my favourite FPS of all time so far (and the only one that doesn’t make me feel sick for some reason)

I bought Doom 3 and am enjoying that so far. I can’t usually get on with FPS as they tend to give me a headache or make me feel sick but I’m not having that problem so far - maybe handheld is better than a TV/projector for that?

Also considering picking up a 2nd hand PS4 for Spider-Man, god of war and horizon zero dawn which all look amazing.

@Luna_110 okami is absolutely fantastic - enjoy. It took me about 25 hours I think so you’ll have a busy weekend trying to complete it in a weekend

No time today but tomorrow I will carry on chipping away at Child of light - it’s such a beautiful game but I seem to be playing it in 10 min intervals which isn’t ideal.

Also got mark of the ninja to start and I really need to complete world of light on smash bros so I can trade it in for something new.

Pretty much given up on assassins creed 3.

I need to stop buying games.

I’m 8 hours into Assassins Creed 3 and bought Child of Light and Mark of the Ninja in the eshop sale - Child of light is absolutely beautiful.

Prob going to end up buying a Wii U as all I really want to be playing is Zelda HD remakes and there’s no sign of them coming to switch anytime soon.

Assassins creed 3 - my first AC game and I’m quite enjoying it although the cut scene to gameplay ratio is a little slow at times.

Stuck on one of the bosses in super Metroid so might have a break from that.

I bought assassins creed 3 for switch the other day and I’m really enjoying it so far. I’ve not found the performance issues to be a problem so far.

No gaming so far but going to carry on with super Metroid and Lego Harry Potter later.

Fired up my Wii the other day but it looks so bad on an HD tv that’s it’s basically unplayable - any tips or do I just need a CRT screen?

Finished RE4 for the first time last night. It’s an amazing game but didn’t quite top RE2 for me.

Downloaded the Lego Harry Potter collection in the sale so that should keep me busy for a while now

Oh I’d also love a switch pro announcement but 99% sure that’s not happening

Busy weekend so I’ve not touched the switch so far.

Prob going to play an hour or 2 of RE4 tonight and hopefully some more tomorrow. Once you get used to the old school control system it really is one of the best games ever made!

I’m considering assassins creed 3 for my next purchase. I was put off by the reviews but other people seem to be really enjoying it - how is everyone else finding it?

Also wish everyone would leave @Anti-Matter alone - he seems to get stick every week but I enjoy his posts.

Been trying to get into Hellgate but it’s not clicking with me for some reason so I’m now downloading RE4. Bit grumpy about the price but it’s an amazing game that I never finished.

Finished steamworld dig 2 this week. I enjoyed it but was a little underwhelmed.

Not too sure what to play next. I’ve downloaded Bastion in the sale so prob give that a go

It took me sooo long to beat this game. Not sure I can bring myself to jump back in.

Going to continue my playthrough of steam world dig 2. I’ve now got quite a bit further than I did the first time I played it. Really enjoying it this time round.

Might also play a bit of Smash as I’ve not touched it in weeks and I’ve still not completed the adventure mode - it’s sooo god damn long!

I’m on holiday at the moment. I’ve not had a lot of gaming time but I have re-started steam world dig 2 with a new save. I got 5 hours in before and got bored but I’m enjoying it more this time round

@nofriendo good point. I’ve only played it docked so far (prob only 30 mins in).

Most of my gaming time is handheld so I’ll need to dedicate some time to it if I’m ever going to finish

I’ve bought a ton of games lately but had hardly any time to get stuck in due to working insane hours.

Won’t play much this weekend but I go on holiday on Monday.

Can’t decide whether to take my 2DS and play super Metroid or my Switch to play Katana Zero and Hellblade
