Nearing the end of A Link Between Worlds and will be happy to finish it.
This week I bought Katana Zero and Hellblade. I’ve played an hour or so of each and they seem great but both work best docked with headphones. I usually prefer to play handheld so might take me a while to get through them both.
About half way through A Link Between Worlds which is amazing. I might even like it more than Ocarina. Also just bought Hellblade and had a quick go - it is stunningly beautiful.
@Donutman yeah I’m pretty obsessed at the moment. I just wish the whole series was on switch in HD. I’ve got 2ds and switch so limited access to some of the games. Need a CRT TV so I can get the wii looking half decent.
@Donutman I've been playing games for about the same amount of time but have only got into Zelda since BOTW so I've got the whole series to experience now which is awesome.
I've probably played A link to the past about half way through but keep putting it down because I was emulating it on laptop and don't really enjoy playing games that way. It seems like a great game but think I'll start a new save on the 2ds. So I've only played BOTW and Ocarina all the way through. So far BOTW is my favourite.
I want to play Twilight Princess but can't stand how bad it looks on Wii through an HD TV so will probably end up having to buy a Wii U just to play that and Windwaker.
I only bought a 2DS a couple of weeks ago. So far I’ve just been playing Ocarina of Time so I’ve got quite a lot of other titles to look forward to which is great as there’s been nothing that’s got me excited on Switch in quite a while (love my switch but need some new interesting games)
@Tandy255 I bought an old 2DS the other day so I’m playing that version. I was never a big Zelda fan until playing breath of the wild but that game inspired me to revisit the others. I basically bought the 2DS for Zelda.
I just want them to release all the Zelda games on switch now
I’ve been crazy, crazy busy since Xmas so very little game time.
Tomorrow I actually have a full day off so may carry on working my way through world of light in smash.
I’ve also recently got into Stardew Valley which I bought when I got my switch but never played much of - I’m enjoying it quite a bit but only in short bursts as I get a bit bored and often don’t really know what to do.
@Heavyarms55 in the past I regretted it on odd occasions but now I generally think that if I want something back I can always re-buy it. I find that Nintendo games usually get a pretty good trade in price at Game in the UK. I’ll normally get £25ish back on a game I’ve paid £50 for. I’ve spent the last couple of years trying to declutter my house/life so now I generally only have 3 or 4 physical games at a time.
Games I haven’t traded in because I love them/know I’ll want to play again in the future: Mario Kart, BOTW, Odyssey, Smash.
I now don’t have any games I’d trade in so the next game I buy will be a new addition. Basically I keep my absolute favourites and recycle everything else.
Because I’m not a collector I buy physical for any big games so I can trade them in for new games. I really like having digital because I don’t have to swap carts and the games are available all the time but I just can’t justify spending £50 on a game unless I’m going to be able to trade it in when I want a new one.
Mainly just smash. I was playing it with my wife which was tons of fun but I think she’s bored now so I’ll prob just work my way through world of light.
Finally gave in and bought Smash! It’s really good fun. I keep losing new challenger matches though which is soooo annoying!! I want more characters to play with.
Not going to have much gaming time this weekend but what I do have will be spent with the excellent crash bandicoot trilogy. Completed the 1st and nearly half way through 2. I love these games!
Update: Put a fair few hours into Guacamelee today - highly recommend it if you like easy metroidvanias/challenging platformers. Cool visual style also and it’s Lucha!!
Will be doing a few runs on Dead Cells but I’m horribly stuck on the Clock Tower.
I’ve started playing A Link To The Past (emulated) I’ve never played it through before so looking forward to getting properly stuck in and actually completing it.
Hopefully get chance to play some twilight princess on wii tomorrow. Hard going back to non HD graphics on an HD TV. Also working my way through the messenger which is really good but also really bloody hard!
I struggled to get into Skyrim after spending a very short time trying so that’s on the back burner. I’ll be spending some more time with Into the Breach which is fantastic and Dead Cells which is very addictive. Need a good adventure game to sink my teeth into. Might have a go on twilight princess on Wii which I own but have never played
Bought Into The Breach earlier this week - it’s so good. Managed to get all the way through and beat the game now though so probably won’t play much more.
Also picked up Skyrim but I just seem to die every time I meet anyone (probably less than 1 hour into the game) - any tips on how to play the game early on would be much appreciated as it’s not clicking so far.
Finished Hollow Knight and Okami HD recently and struggling to find something else to sink my teeth into. Waiting for a sale on Dead Cells or The Messenger before taking the plunge. So this weekend will mainly be a few levels of super meat boy with a bit of fortnite or rocket league thrown in.
Finished Okami HD last night having bought it on PS2 years ago and never completing it. Such a great game. Very long, quite easy but absolutely beautiful and a lot of fun to play. What next??

@NintendoByNature excellent! I’m looking forward to getting stuck in.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 6th)
Finally finished Ocarina of time - what a great game. Love Hyrule Castle.
Just started A link between worlds which I’ve also never played before.
Also bought The Mummy Demastered on sale and had a dabble with that but not played enough to decide if I like it or not.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 6th)
@Donutman doing something similar. What are your favourites?

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 23rd)
Ocarina of time still. Just beaten the water temple which was a pain in the arse. It’s such a great game.
Also just played a couple of hours of Mario Kart with my wife for the first time in months - another great game!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 16th)
Still working through Ocarina of Time on 2DS for the first time.
I really wish Nintendo would release all the 3D Zeldas on switch as I’ve not played any of them and I really don’t want to buy a wii U to play the set

Re: It's That Time Of Year Again, Happy MAR10 Day!
Playing ocarina of time for the first time ever so Mario will have to take a back seat.
Can’t believe how good this game is and that I’ve never played it....
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 9th)
Finally beat Dead Cells after giving it another go - thank god for the update making it easier! I’d pretty much given up on it.
Bought an old 2DS yesterday with Ocarina of time which I’ve never played before so looking forward to sinking some hours into that.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 2nd)
I’ve not played anything other than Tetris99 since it came out. Still haven’t managed to win a game yet but prob won’t play anything else until I do!
Wanting to have another go at dead cells now they’ve apparently made it easier.
Re: A Trio Of Classic Resident Evil Games Is Coming To Switch This May
RE4 Blew my mind on PS2 (or was it ps3?) but I don’t think I ever finished it. Hoping it holds up ok in 2019 as I’d love to give it another go.
Re: Dead Cells Switch Update Adds 60fps And Custom Game Support
I gave up eventually
Re: Dead Cells Switch Update Adds 60fps And Custom Game Support
So what’s with the difficulty? Is it any easier? I’ve put tons of hours in and can never beat the final boss if I manage to get to him
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 16th)
Jesus! How addictive is this new Tetris game!!

Re: Feature: How One Nintendo Christmas Shaped The Rest Of My Life
I got a NES with Kung Fu at some point in the 80’s my memory isn’t good with dates/ages.
I was absolutely hooked at that point. I played that game all day long.
The switch has got me back into gaming after a pretty long gap.

Shame online is unplayable...

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 10th)
I went back to dead Cells last week and can now reach the final boss consistently. He is sooo damn hard - anyone got any tips?
Also got back into super meat boy which is a great game. Stuck on the last level before the final boss though.
Re: YouTube Has Officially Arrived On Nintendo Switch
I only watch YouTube whilst playing my switch so not much use for me. Still nice to have the option though.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 3rd)
Just finished Inside - it’s a weird, weird game!
Kinda loved the final sequence
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 3rd)
Picked up Inside on sale and I’m enjoying it. Not sure it’s as good as all the reviews indicate but it’s very cool.
Other than that I’ll probably have another bash at Dead Cells which I’m horribly stuck on - it’s so damn hard!
Oh and Dust: an Elysian tale which is good but I only play in short bursts before getting bored and looking for other games to waste my money on!!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 27th)
I’m currently working my way through Dust: an Elysian tale which is fun so far (maybe 3 hours in)
Wishing I had a PS4 as red dead 2 looks flipping amazing!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 20th)
Finished Guacamelee last week - awesome game!
Might do a couple of runs in dead Cells this afternoon.
XC Torna isn’t doing much for me so far but I’m only a few hours in.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 13th)

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 13th)
I’ll probably carry on with Zelda: link to the past mainly.
Picked up Torna (never played XC2) I’m enjoying it overall but my god are the graphics awful.
Also got Guacamelee the other day - I’m 2 hours in and really enjoying it.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 6th)
Finished stick of truth last week which was ok.
Will be doing a few runs on Dead Cells but I’m horribly stuck on the Clock Tower.
I’ve started playing A Link To The Past (emulated) I’ve never played it through before so looking forward to getting properly stuck in and actually completing it.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 29th)
Stick of Truth which is fun but not captivating. I really shouldn’t have bought it at full price. I need to stay away from the eshop...
Also halfway through the messenger and yet to complete Dead Cells which I need to get back to.
Keep flipping between games and not really sticking with any one.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 22nd)
Hopefully get chance to play some twilight princess on wii tomorrow. Hard going back to non HD graphics on an HD TV. Also working my way through the messenger which is really good but also really bloody hard!
