I kinda hate it but I also can't help but feel that they should have put an S in front of the "witch" for the occasion.

That's what every Direct feels like now anyway.

This game was developed literally up the street from me.

Anyways, yeah. It wasn't a masterpiece when it was new, and so many other games have come along to improve upon it in every way since that I'm sorry to say it's just nothing to write home about. Even my 10 year old nephew's neighbour could see the seemingly requisite dark and "edgy" twist ending coming, so what else is there to say?

I remember his work on OG Rayman, sure. Better than the annoying trash used to soundtrack the newer games to say the very least of it. RIP

It's the only thing that can make Zelda II halfway playable, that's for true.

God of War is the best Zelda game of the 2010s.

Never liked the HD upscalery of the AA series, me. There is something pure and genuine about the pixel aesthetic, warts and all. At least it's not trapped behind the sub-HD limitations of the 3DS anymore.

I'm just here to say Nimcowpoop is a terrible troll, but you're kind of even worse for taking the world's most obvious bait.

Uematsu has the greatest body of work of any video game composer apart from maybe Kondo; indeed, pigeonholing him as "just" a video game composer is doing him a disservice. I wish him nothing but joy and health.

It's got its flaws--the fanbase is one of "those" fanbases and it wouldn't even exist if not for MOTHER/EarthBound--but on balance I respect its tenacity in challenging story and gameplay conventions. When it works it's something pretty special.

Also; EASILY one of the best soundtracks of the decade... I'd say it'd stand out hugely even in a decade not largely composed of developers watering down their IPs for a quick buck.

To be honest, after all their incessant whining and death threats, they really don't deserve it. Sakurai should troll their worthless and immature cottage cheese keisters and give them Tingle or something instead.

Well, it would have been nice if Nintendo had a legal alternative to make up for it... but you just know that if they do VC on Switch at all, it'll just be Wrecking Crew and all the other overpriced usual suspects released on a semi-weekly basis. Sure the hardcore emulator crowd know plenty of more low-key rom hosting sites anyways.

Speaking of EmuParadise--since they do still have the domain name and all--they can now repurpose their site to become the internet's primary resource on the keeping of emus and not lose a step.

As short as it is, it gave me more of a legitimate feeling of Zelda adventure than Breath of the Wild ever managed in the 60+ hours I wasted on it.

Make it as different from Breath of the Wild as possible.

For the good(?) of everyone, they should re-release The Letter on Switch so everything will look comparatively better by default.

How fitting, since the animated show is to the original games pretty much what the Returns games are to the original games.
