@murty I agree on this so much, being able to play online with two players, where the second player could progress its own rank too, has always been a fundamental feature for me and my brothers. We used to play like that all the time with MK8D and we were bummed to see it gone in MKW. I hope it will eventually be back. Same for player country flags which are always a good source of entertainment, and post-race highlights. Those were the best for 4p split screen to laugh or awe at our own actions after each race.
I quite appreciate this update anyways. Still a long way to go before this game can properly match the hook of MK8D, but it feels like they are finally moving on the right direction. I hope they will continue committing to it.
Very happy with this update as I keep the brightness very low and the Animal Crossing clock was really hard to read: the numbers had a bright wooden background and it was hard to tell the numbers from the background at a distance. They made the wooden background darker and it's better now!
Very much looking forward to this as it reminds me of Habbo, minus the toxicity, plus an actual gameplay and wonderful theme. It looks gorgeous! I have plenty to play in the meantime so I wish them a good and pleasing work in the meantime.
MK World is just an average Mario Kart game for me so I thought it would be easy for Crosswords to smash it, but after trying the demo and ignoring the bad visual quality, I was kinda shocked at how quickly I wanted to put it down. Personal taste for sure but I don’t think it’s really comparable to MKW.
The game released during one of our worst summers, where I could sweat by just sitting still at my desk, so I had no will to play it. Weather changed finally so it’s time to play! Glad to see it’s been updated.
The first game was alright, somewhat of a chill racing experience across lush environments. Maybe a bit boring after a while, but not bad in general. The second didn't improve much on the first unfortunately. Still I might be getting this one, I like both environments they announced.
I was pleasantly surprised at how fast and hectic this looks, I had multiple "wtf" moments during the direct, and loved all the sarcasm by Sakurai himself. He's so done!
I can already feel I'll like this game more than Mario Kart World in the current state of things, which is something I would have never bet on, considering my deep love for the MK series.
My partner only plays on smartphone and on her Switch Lite, but had to pass on this, on Potioncraft, and on a bunch of other similar cozy games she wanted to love, because the UI and text is borderline unreadable on mobile screens that small. I wish these games would be more eye friendly to casual gamers that don't play on a 32" TV.
I develop racing games for a living, and articles comparing Mario Kart World to Forza Horizon remind me of some of my players. I do my best to curate the store page and to set game expectations, then these players come at me asking for a completely different game design, and more often than not, asking to turn the game into GTA or Forza Horizon.
This is a non-issue and perfectly normal considering it’s streaming four videos in download, while streaming your gameplay in upload. Not sure what people expected.
I really recommend Football Drama. It's a mix between a visual novel and a light management game with cool story, cool characters, and unique design. The football game for those who don't like playing football!
@Steel76 Amen. I've let basically everyone I know try Oculus Quest, and every single one of them was completely blown away, even people that was skeptic about VR in general.
They absolutely nailed the toy car look and feel. Looks like a chill game but I'm really looking forward to it, hope the Switch port won't look too bad and run at solid 30 fps at least.
Kinda excited, I love Hot Wheels and any form of track editor. I see they are using Unreal so I hope graphics is not a blurry downscaled mess with terrible antialiasing like most Unreal games on Switch. In particular I hope they manage to convey the actual "small die-cast and plastic toy model" feeling, since most older HW games don't really convey that well.
This does not solve the problem at all since games are ranked by number of downloads, it's no secret and various articles have been published about methods to game the eShop system. If they could just sort games by actual income, that would be a much better start.
Agree with the first comments! If you are going to try the demo, make it sure to play it a couple of times at least. First time, you hate it. Second time, you understand what's going on. Third time, you really feel one of the W101. Give the game a chance and it will pay back.
I was following this game since the very first tweets and I’m so glad it released on Switch too. I wanted more of Luftrausers for so long and this definitely checks out.
@imogenpeach I agree. I still found very few of these, since from standard balloons I continue getting duplicate random items and no new Sakura recipes...
Go to the options and set the steering dead zone to zero. Voilà, steering lag fixed.
Anyways, I am liking it a lot. I was waiting quite much for this and I am happy they even managed to publish the game at all. Their lead programmer died during development and that blew an huge hit to the whole team.
Basically Shovel Knight 2199, this looks incredible. Also I believe the music is still from Jake 'virt' Kaufman, the absolute mad lad when it comes to chiptune.
@gcunit If you go on the eShop store page, it says in the description "Use the included game graphics & audio or create your own". I suppose the software can read files from the MicroSD (.obj, .wav, .png, etc), but I'm not so sure it will work like this.
I just hope they will release the new DLCs on Switch. This version feels really left behind, also due to constant framerate issues when the city is big enough...

Re: Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream Showcases Island Life, Coming To Switch Spring 2026
Is it weird if I'm hyping this more than Metroid? I had a blast with the 3DS title and can't wait to play again.

Re: 'Star Racer' Is A Rad Mix Of F-Zero And Star Fox, With Music From Banjo Composer
100% my game genre, but I really don't like the art style on this one, looks highly inconsistent. Good luck to the devs for the KS!

Would you look at that almost borderless screen. Maybe a bad Photoshop, maybe not.

Re: Nintendo Download: 21st May (North America)
Red Wings all the way... If only it was available in EU. The devs are ignoring all questions about a release outside USA, not very cool.
EDIT: turns out the game is on EU store too, but it never appeared in the "upcoming" section!

Re: Code Your Own Games With FUZE4 Nintendo Switch, Now Launching This May
@TheFongz could be... In that case I believe it will be extremely basic. I don’t think there will be any kind of 3D model editor for example.
