Update: Did you grab one in time? It now looks like the Mario edition has sold out, and Luigi has returned to a higher price point.
Hopefully they'll plummet in price again in the future.
Original Article: If you haven't yet picked up Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit for Nintendo Switch, there's never been a better time to go ahead and do exactly that.
At the time of writing, Amazon UK is selling the Mario edition for £54.81, and the Luigi edition for £56.79, a huge saving on the original RRP. For reference, the Nintendo Official UK Store is still selling these for £99.99, so this is quite the saving. Have at them:

If you want to learn more about the game and the fancy Mario and Luigi karts before throwing down the cash, feel free to check out our full review. We described it as "a startlingly authentic 'mixed reality' recreation of Nintendo's most popular racing series which encourages you to be inventive with your course designs and does an excellent job of combining your real-world surroundings with the fantasy environments of the Mushroom Kingdom."

much more tempting at this price! but the lack of saving tracks and novelty will mean I will resist the temptations
It is super tempting. If I had an excess of money I would totally buy it but as I know I would only play it once I'll have to pass.
Damn, my boy loves his and would love a Luigi one. If we had another Switch in the house I would be seriously tempted to get it so we could race...
Think the actual Mario Kart will have value as a collectors item. It was kinda flop but good idea.
Aaaand that's the price I wanted it to drop to. Great tip!
❗As @Patendo and @RobLogNick both say, the novelty would wear off after one (or two goes) and then in the box it goes for the next six years...
Ooh tempting to get at this price for the novelty!
... But I could just as easily get kart 8 deluxe as I don't have that yet, which would be cheaper and I could play with friends.
The idea was good, but this is just a toy with a camera. Not a videogame.
I want to, but I honestly don't see myself playing this much beyond the first few days.
Hmmm, I would want these more for collector's purposes than to use. I don't practically have the space to use them. I wonder if I should bite or if I should wait for cheaper (although this is definitely a decent saving if you can use these).
Still too much
might wait until i get paid before grabbing them
I like the idea but the novelty would lose it appeal fast. You need a decent space as well tbh. Love the idea but think I'll still pass.
That’s great value. Great buy for a Mario kart fan
if you have kids winter cold wet day this is great. just for yourself its cool but its a toy kids will love it just remember im sure they will tidy all the track away afterwards lol
Bahahahahaha, I predicted this from the day it was announced. Bargin bin bound. Now can we have a new/proper Mario Kart ?
Not bad...for some cheap fun or for kids this could be great!
I would have bought it if it wasn't for brexit and import costs. Hope the discount will arrive outside of UK too.
Tempting as a collector's item, but the lack of an actual game cartridge essentially makes this an expensive plastic toy with a cheap camera. I think this is truly a thing for the kids to enjoy and there's nothing wrong with that.
Home Circuit is fun experience. If you have kids who both have a Switch, definitely consider buying 2 of these at that price. Heck, hopefully a good sale can come over to Canada soon. I’d love to get a third of these for myself.
Got mine on launch day. Still fire it up every so often. One of the coolest things I own for sure.
Nice about time! Tho still *issed that it does not come with a game card!
I've had tons of fun with this. It's fun to take turns in time trial and beat each other's records. If I see that price over here I will be getting a Luigi Kart.
Sold out, not really a surprise!
Looks like it’s already sold out at that price, I can only see it being sold by resellers for much more.
ofc weegee cost more than mario
Briefly considered it - then remembered all the reports of motion sickness when playing - which I'm horribly prone to. So giving it a miss. But I hope others are able to enjoy this one (and it becomes a bit more affordable for multiplayer for those houses with multiple Switches!)
It looks like good fun but it's just too much of a gimmick. Plus the need for everyone to have a Switch and a copy of the game, etc. Nice idea though that I'd love to give a go if I had a few more friends with Switches.
heart attack Nintendo price dropping their 1st party titles? What a shocker!
@SkyArcher
I recently bought three games from Amazon.co.uk, I didn't need to pay extra handling fees for customs to my mailman (which are usually 15€ per order plus the custom fee itself). I paid all necessary fees directly while ordering, which weren't high. In fact the bulk of fees were shipping (2.87£ in my case), while the British VAT was replaced by an EU one.
Managed to sneak an order in earlier! Look forward to trying it out and will make a great collectable
Says £79.99 when I follow that link.
I'm glad it and Labo didn't sell so well. I'd prefer Nintendo didn't focus on gimmicky stuff like these.
@robe Indeed, here it says 93.17€. Those aren't exactly 55 quid, by far.
Seriously, resist the temptation. I played mine for exactly 36 minutes...! Reality is the Kart is just too big and clumsy for the average home. If they managed to get the Kart down to a Hotwheels/Matchbox size Kart that has a way of performing fine on carpet then they would be onto a winner.
Mario $99, Luigi $85 in US.
Damn, missed it! Definitely would have bought both karts at that price!
Yeh. It's now jumped back up in price to £80
If I were to own either of these, they'd be sealed forever, as my house tends to get dusty real quickly (we're talking about hours after cleaning, sometimes even minutes) and the tires would take the worst part.
Worthless information.
