Re: Here's How A Nindie Developer Thinks The Switch eShop Could Be Improved

Robohock

@bitleman yea I was gonna say this, if people would just go into the search function and play around they'd find out there's a lot more options for different genres prices ect. I still think Nintendo needs to do an overhaul. Most of the suggestions above would be great even if they only did three of four of the best ones and made a new splash page for when you open the eShop with those one it and a simple click to get back to the old interface they have the best of both worlds. Curation and ease of use.

Re: Review: Dragon Sinker (Switch eShop)

Robohock

@Hikingguy I absolutely agree, it is disheartening and something I wish never became a thing. I just lean more towards disliking the multiplayer micro transactions, aka pay to win tactics. A single player RPG with micro transactions though? Seems pointlessness to me but none the less someone must be buying it as evident by it's inclusion.

Re: Soapbox: Alex And Dom Discuss If Dark Souls Will Really Work On Switch

Robohock

In reference to the last 30 post or so above mine.... You both are wasting way to much time arguing about pointlessness. You obviously both have different view points on the switch and gaming in general. Jaxon I would just let it go man, he will not be seeing your side of the story. Other dude (can't remember your name lol) I also would like a more powerful dock but understand why Nintendo decided to go with what it has currently in the box. As far as dark souls goes? I've never played the first so i welcome it with open arms, only need to decided between Xbox and switch... I honestly enjoy playing all my games on switch more even if not in handheld mode. Guess I'm werid.

Re: Nintendo's Damon Baker Hints At An Even Bigger Year For Switch in 2018

Robohock

@Zuljaras come on now no need to be mean. @anti-matter and I have had this exact conversation and I too have questioned his disdain of M rated games. At the end of that day it his personal opinion to play what he chooses and mine (and many others I assume) to play Skyrim following a little DOOM. Im fairly certain he is a man of God and if that's the case then I'd rather he stick to his guns per say an not play things he thinks are counter to that. Now wether he should play a game with any violence at all because it is a sin, cartoon violence or not, is open for debate.

Re: Review: Mutant Mudds Collection (Switch eShop)

Robohock

@Bondi_Surfer I'm with you surfer man! Mutant mudds is an ok to good game but a nine? I just don't see it. I understand this is a Nintendo site and all so they are slightly jaded in that respect but when every freaking indie game seams to get a 8 or 9 it's hard to make informed purchase choices. It's to the point I only read the reviews here for laugh and some knowledge on the games features etc.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Gives Its Tech Analysis for Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Robohock

@Ralek85 I haven't been able to pick it up yet but I know I will enjoy it when I do regardless of resolution or fps. The next real test that we know of is Wolfenstein 2. Curious how it will turn out. Oh and the real reason I commented was baten kaitos.... God I love that game to pieces. I'll even take a 2 pack remixed version(if they redo the combat in origens to match the original I'd die)

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - There Are So Many...

Robohock

I just got Skyrim but I'm not going to play it yet ( I've only played maybe 10 hours of the game so it should be a new experience for me) mostly playing LA noir and love it, graphics and extra controller options are amazing. Just got nba2k18 on sale so loving that, pretty faithful conversion. Oh and doom of course also going to mix in some stardew and contemplateing rive! Too much to play!

Re: Review: DOOM (Switch)

Robohock

@Danrenfroe2016 oh nice to see a fellow Dallas resident as well! I'm just east of downtown but Midway and LBJ isn't too bad a drive as long as it isn't 5pm I may switch it up! Maybe we should exchange friend codes?

Re: Review: DOOM (Switch)

Robohock

@MoonKnight7 I also have this pre-order trough Amazon prime and live smack dab in the middle of Dallas Texas. A top five most populous city in the USA. I won't be receiving this until Tuesday either according to the website. Not sure what's going on with Amazon as I've never had this problem with any other game...

Re: Review: Sonic Forces (Switch)

Robohock

Lot of saltiness up in the comments with a few saying they liked the game and I'm with that crowd. Reminds me of the 90s cartoon with the revolution and all. I played it last night for 2 to 3 hours and i quite enjoyed it. It has a few areas where it's just ok but none that are just plain bad and many that good too. You all can nitpick all you want but it was one of the funnest games I've played all year, I guess fun isnt important to a game anymore.

Re: Grezzo Is Hiring Programmers to Help Make a “Legend”

Robohock

Not to many Zelda's left to remake. If they did remake links adventure I feel like it would have to at the very least be ported into the OOT 3d engine to make it worthwhile. Right? Now that I think about it a link to the past reborn sounds mighty tasty. Just imagine the possibility.

Re: Perception Will Give You a Fresh Look at Horror on Switch, Out on Halloween

Robohock

Horror games haven't been my thing in a long time but I'm happy for those that do enjoy. Curious though how does a first person horror game played from the perspective of a blind person have anything to do with women "over coming society's expectations"? I can only assume you have to play the game to figure it out. That last paragraph kinda came out of left field there... Anybody play this yet and have more knowledge on the subject?

Re: Review: The Mummy Demastered (Switch eShop)

Robohock

@Starbuster @ECMIM anywhere from 4 to 12 hours Depending on how quickly you want to go through the world, secrets etc. Oh and starbuster I think it's referring to the graphics? As in remastered games are usually upgraded graphically sense this is like 32bit sprites it's demastered? That's my best guess lol.

Re: Nintendo of America Adds Some Halloween-Themed Switch eShop Discounts

Robohock

@EternalDragonX right there with you, I own all the games up there worth a damn besides axiom(which I will be getting retail) and snake pass which at half off is mighty tempting! But I do recommend phantom trigger at that price point. I got it when it first came out and while I enjoyed it, I would of felt more satisfied at that price then 15. At least Nintendo is trying hopefully we get a better Christmas sale!

Re: Review: Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch)

Robohock

Got this yesterday and it's great fun in all but I think I've encountered a glitch, or perhaps I'm missing something. In handheld no issues what so ever but when played docked I can here the audio but no voice acting.... Any one else have this issue? Perhaps an option I'm missing?

Re: Soapbox: Breath Of The Wild Is Amazing, But Is It The 3D Zelda That Enthusiasts Expected?

Robohock

@daveh30 exactly!
To throw my two sense in I've never seen a game cause so much "water cooler" talk. I was on the phone with friends (and in person) every day talking about all the cool things we found, fought and discovered. Yes I would if like more story, perhaps playing some of the 💯 years ago stuff and the music was just ok. That being said I've played it for 150 hours and still have one divine beast a bizzulion korok seeds and multiple others things I want to do before I beat Gannon. Heck I've only barely explored Hyrule castle. It's a amazing Zelda experience even if it's not a by the numbers Zelda, I'd go as far as to say it was a perfect storm of releasing at the right time(Nintendo fans were starved before March 3) and a refreshing take on the open world genre. Call it as you want but the game is a masterpiece Zelda or not.

Re: Random: Someone Claims to Have Unearthed Star Fox: Red Zone Virtual Boy Assets

Robohock

Yes clearly a guy just looking for attention. I really wanted a virtual boy back in the mid-nineties yeah call me crazy. Then one day I was in Walmart after it had been out about six months and they had them all on clearance for $50 each. I bought one and about five games, the games were about five bucks a piece. I enjoyed the heck out of it as a 10 year old. Wish I would of saved it, some of the games are worth quite a bit these days. Too bad it didn't catch on, blame it in the red graphics or the headaches, take your pick!

Re: Target Names the Nintendo Switch as a 'Top Toy' for 2017

Robohock

@Anti-Matter hey bud I'm 31 and love me some Nintendo just as much as you and quite a few of the rest on this site. Curious though at 33 how do you consider yourself a "young adult"? Perhaps in your country things are perceived differently? Maybe the young at heart approach? Not that it really matters just asking as I've seen you mention this in other articles.

Re: SEVERED Slashes Its Way onto the Switch eShop, Out Today

Robohock

Always wanted this on my Wii u but never got around to it. Can anyone confirm playtime? Seams a tad expensive for what it is offering. I've bought alot of games recently so I'll pass for now but hopefully it gets a discount before Christmas and I'll surely jump then

Re: ARMS Balance Update Is Coming Next Week

Robohock

I tried to like arms and it was an ok experience just not fantastic, ended up selling a few days ago since Splatoon2 was taking all my time. Well that and fate extella which is surprisingly holding my interest quite well
