I genuinely, hand on heart, DO NOT CARE. I cannot get my head around the grievance when everybody is quite happy using Steam. Make it make freaking sense.
About you would expect from a 3-month-old system. I'm not even going to ask people to give them a break because this is an intentional attack. They have no intention of listening or reflecting on themselves because they know that they're not really surprised or upset by how many we have right now. As it happens with every new Nintendo system launch... They poke and jab until something sticks. Games journalism is bought and paid for by the highest bidder. And because Nintendo, historically, refused to enter into that immoral bias they get the blunt end. However the most recent attack, of games performing badly, somehow seems to have been flipped overnight. Out of nowhere, every game that was being reported to be running badly is suddenly running well again... And every critique is changing their story. Funny that.
@Dazman yeah I mean it's about what I expected... Better to be honest with you. I just can't fathom how it ended up being panned by all of the press... And now there's an article going around that apparently they delayed the systems launch (as if that matters at all) For some reason the presser really laying into Nintendo... Again... as if that's something new
Looks very serviceable and about what I expected. There's an article going around about them delaying the launch of the system... That coupled with the false narrative of this running badly is getting me concerned that the press are laying into this intentionally.
More Switch 2 sabotage from the "Big boy console" developers. Are they really doing so badly that they need to beat down Nintendo's reputation this generation? Perhaps they should try cultivating, and actually KEEPING, a great developer team so they can make games people really want to play... Instead of spending all their resources making competition look bad. If Witch 3 can run just fine on Switch 1, at reduced fidelity, so can any game on Switch 2. There's no excuse for pushing the GPU too far and then blaming the system for port performance. Just dial down the demand and find the Ballance. If players can do it with settings on PC, I'm sure developers can do it even better via actual coding. It's not laziness because it barely takes any effort for them... It's intentional sabotage. At best it might just be protest towards Nintendo for not keeping up with hardware... But I doubt it.
Calling it now...

I think this response is an intentional misdirection.
In spite of gaming media sensationalizing every minute fringe issue... pretty well. Great sales in just the first week. I don't think we could have asked for much more considering the price bracket and the current state of the economy everywhere. It's technically just an upgrade system (despite the marketing) so it's going to be a slow process compared to most new systems. Even if the entire third-party market abandons it. Ultimately it has at the entire back catalogue of the switch available to it and all of the new in-house games they make. It can't go wrong. And once they've made a few bangers (which they seem to be gearing up for) third parties won't be able to resist.
