Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting PokΓ©mon Legends: Z-A?

Real_Obsi

Depressingly High physical purchase rate...
Not because I think physical is bad per se, but it's very clear that the capacity AND load speed can't withstand the more recent, larger games. Which means, If demand is this High, The whining is going to continue for many years... 😐
Please join the modern era and make the change to digital.
There's plenty of other things you can line your shelves with.

Re: Random: This Upcoming PS5 'Cozy Life Sim' Certainly Rings A Bell

Real_Obsi

The way things are going the rest of the industry is going to completely wreck Nintendo through popular vote plagiarism.
What did Nintendo do that's so dreadful, compared to anyone else, that means they deserve to be occupied like this??
Malicious corporate assassination simply because the climate allows it.
These copy cats are merciless hacks that would be the first to cry fowl if anyone ripped THEM off.

Re: Opinion: Silksong's Soundtrack Rules, But You Should Turn It Off

Real_Obsi

I bet you're one of these types that likes to sing the lyrics to a song slightly wrong...
Or insist on always applying mods to a video game...
Or cannot POSSIBLY build a piece of IKEA furniture by actually LOOKING at the instructions...
I am not the kind of person that takes offence at carrying out instructions.
I don't see it as a slight against my own intelligence.
I enjoy experiencing what somebody else has providing exactly as they intended... Only then can I fully decide whether I like what they did or not.

Re: Opinion: NSO Subscribers Outside Key Markets Get Less, And Nintendo Should Fix That

Real_Obsi

Full NSO is far cheaper than the competition.
Like by far.
NSO light, where you get less, is so cheap per annum It's insulting to Nintendo.
It costs a month's PS+ πŸ˜‚
Quit whining.
Do you get languages on the other systems in your region for far more money?
It just strikes me that you're constantly trying to find anything you can... Language coverage has always been a major issue. Yet suddenly right this second when you can't find anything else to have a go at, it's a Hot topic... This is such a nothing burger.
Everyone is getting so obviously desperate to beat Nintendo down.
Are you all being paid a whopping back handed or something?
From one day to the next there's some beef or another.
It's getting so outrageously tiresome.
You're acting like bloody political critics πŸ˜‚
Every console does a few dirty tricks or cuts a few corners. Every console has plenty of great benefits and exclusives.
Give it a bloody rest and let's start focusing on the great stuff.
Please!

Re: Nintendo Life Reader Survey 2025

Real_Obsi

Somehow messed up the last answer and the Xbox instead of None πŸ˜‚
Considering there wasn't a shred of Xbox usage for the whole of the questionnaire, that will completely confuse some specific stat πŸ˜‚

Re: Poll: Three Months In, How Would You Rate Switch 2's Library So Far?

Real_Obsi

About you would expect from a 3-month-old system.
I'm not even going to ask people to give them a break because this is an intentional attack. They have no intention of listening or reflecting on themselves because they know that they're not really surprised or upset by how many we have right now.
As it happens with every new Nintendo system launch... They poke and jab until something sticks.
Games journalism is bought and paid for by the highest bidder. And because Nintendo, historically, refused to enter into that immoral bias they get the blunt end.
However the most recent attack, of games performing badly, somehow seems to have been flipped overnight.
Out of nowhere, every game that was being reported to be running badly is suddenly running well again... And every critique is changing their story.
Funny that.

Re: The Force Isn't Strong With Star Wars Outlaws On Switch 2, Initial Impressions Suggest

Real_Obsi

More Switch 2 sabotage from the "Big boy console" developers.
Are they really doing so badly that they need to beat down Nintendo's reputation this generation?
Perhaps they should try cultivating, and actually KEEPING, a great developer team so they can make games people really want to play... Instead of spending all their resources making competition look bad.
If Witch 3 can run just fine on Switch 1, at reduced fidelity, so can any game on Switch 2.
There's no excuse for pushing the GPU too far and then blaming the system for port performance.
Just dial down the demand and find the Ballance.
If players can do it with settings on PC, I'm sure developers can do it even better via actual coding.
It's not laziness because it barely takes any effort for them... It's intentional sabotage.
At best it might just be protest towards Nintendo for not keeping up with hardware... But I doubt it.

Re: The First Review For Donkey Kong Bananza Is In

Real_Obsi

Calling it now...
NL will take the hipster route and find some highly objective and personal reason to dock a point or two.
Can't look TOO enthusiastic can we NL?
Finding tiny faults is the adult thing to do, after all.
And consistently pointing out niggling, inconsequential, issues isn't at all a cumulatively destructive behaviour that constantly keeps an excellent development team on the back foot.
When all these companies have share holders that's not how you needlessly create churn in the talent market at ALL!
Right?

Re: "It Will Have A Chilling Effect On Game Design" - EU Group Responds To 'Stop Killing Games'

Real_Obsi

Discontinuation of always-online services is NOT what the campaign is primarily upset about.
They want the right to seek a method of continue playing their purchased games via other, private means.
Write your wavers. Wipe your hands clean of responsibility. Close all service. But let people keep their games.
This campaign is a much broader ask that covers ALL games. Not just the always online services.
I believe they have read the demand and know full well that's the case.
I think this response is an intentional misdirection.

Re: Talking Point: One Month On, How Did Nintendo's Switch 2 Launch Go?

Real_Obsi

In spite of gaming media sensationalizing every minute fringe issue... pretty well.
Great sales in just the first week.
I don't think we could have asked for much more considering the price bracket and the current state of the economy everywhere.
It's technically just an upgrade system (despite the marketing) so it's going to be a slow process compared to most new systems.
Even if the entire third-party market abandons it. Ultimately it has at the entire back catalogue of the switch available to it and all of the new in-house games they make.
It can't go wrong.
And once they've made a few bangers (which they seem to be gearing up for) third parties won't be able to resist.

Re: Poll: How Many Hours Have You Spent In Mario Kart World So Far?

Real_Obsi

It's great but clearly unfinished.
I think we need to know what the plan is and have a roadmap.
Because this ain't it Nintendo... We both know it... So the cherade is kind of foolish.
People don't have to know the specifics but if they want us to keep caring they're going to have to give something!

Re: Switch 2 Welcome Tour Developer Gets Officially Revealed

Real_Obsi

It's a perfectly good Β£8 tech demo and tour.
It makes no claims of being anything more.
The whole thing is incredibly transparent.
And, to be perfectly honest with you, can you really see any kind of person that's complaining about this being the kind of person that would enjoy this anyway??
It's all a gotcha.
"See! SEE! Look at their greed!"
So tiresome.

Re: PSA: Do Your Switch 2 Joy-Con Disconnect In Docked Mode? It Might Be The HDMI Cable You're Using

Real_Obsi

For years the fan base whines about low tech.
Nintendo upgrade every aspect and you whine about the HDR, the choice of SD Card, the high end HDMI cable...
Contrarians...
What you want is controversy and beef.
Because, without it, you only have the games.
Imagine that? Just reviewing games when they're available to review?
Instead of writing piece after piece on nothing but fringe negativity that may never have even been the problem as you're framing it.
