Re: Critically-Panned 'Borderlands' Movie Flops At The Box Office

Real_Obsi

I guess I'm going to have to at some point in order to actually have weight to my critique...
But here's the thing... The trailer alone tells me that the characters aren't remotely like they should be. The feel and approach to the whole thing just is so off right within the trailer alone.
On top of that I have everyone else's critique.
I think I have good grounds not to bother but people will claim my arguement is invalid if I don't.

Re: Poll: Do You Prefer Fire Emblem: Three Houses Or Engage?

Real_Obsi

I really don't dislike engage at all.
However, three houses is definitely my preferred.
I prefer the more traditional style.
I prefer the lengthy dialogue and interactions.
I prefer the branching paths and complexity.
Engage just felt like babies first Fire emblem in comparison... But I still liked it a lot 😂

Re: Talking Point: How Do You Store Your Games Collection?

Real_Obsi

All digital.
Can't get lost, stolen, destroyed or corroded.
Sure I don't get to LOOK at it... But it also doesn't take up any physical space or require finding and inserting in order to play...
Also... Since I'm terrible with money... It's rather useful in not being sellable.
I sold so many games until the digital uprising.

Re: Video: Why Do We Buy And Collect Retro Video Games?

Real_Obsi

Because the games industry has farmed a mentality of constant upgrade. So much so that people no EXPECT it before it's even been announced.
What I mean is - they desperately want to part with half a grand to continue playing, despite swearing blind their system rocked months ago...

I've found a far better option. With cloud gaming the company pays for the upgrade. You just pay for the game.
I'm done with chasing overpriced bricks. I can play my library anywhere with Stadia.

Re: Disco Elysium: The Final Cut Is Refused Classification In Australia

Real_Obsi

I'll be honest I think the spirit of Australia's intentions is right.
The nature of this kind of content is to shock. Over time all you can do is shock harder and harder... Until eventually you start overstepping the line of decency.
We are already far far over that line in fiction today. We justify it by the very fact that it's fiction...
I'm not so sure it hasn't rubbed off on people's attitudes in a big way.

Folks can be pretty cruel and callous these days.
