Re: Review: Root Letter: Last Answer - A Clumsy, Laughable Stab At A Visual Novel

Game is not that bad lol The only issue I had was with some of the endings that are not very interesting. But I enjoyed playing the game, characters are very likeable (apart from MC who is a bit of a jerk/bully sometimes lol) and I think the art and production values are actually quite high for an (Japanese) adventure game.
One thing that I really liked was the setting and how it felt like walking around a small city in Japan.
Definitely worth more than a 3.

Re: New Avicii Rhythm Game On Switch Will Donate Some Of The Proceeds To Mental Health Charity

@SteelSunglass oh be quiet. That comment was done during the period that A TON of games were coming out for the Switch. I spent tons on games during September/October and still didn't buy all the games I wanted (still missing Daemon X Machina and Ni no Kuni). My comment was just reflecting that I'm glad there are games I'm not interested in, like this one or sports games.
Had no idea this post was going to be more about mental health than the actual flippin game.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo May Have Caught The Pokémon Sword And Shield Leaker

@isellpixels I don't have a wife, I'm gay.

@Tharsman you just need to browse the internet a bit to find out a lot of people are actually not very excited about the game. And the leaks just confirmed how massive the cut in the Pokedex is, which people hate even more. I'm not going to develop that idea any further, just google it. My point was that the leak won't make a lot of difference: people who were going to buy it, are still going to do it even if the leaks revealed that the game forces you to eat poop.

Re: The Overwatch 2 Leak Was Extremely Demoralising For The Development Team

@sanderev the game is nowhere near to being released, they have plenty of time to promote it. People don't buy games based on reveal trailers, at least sane people.
Instead of whining they could just acknowledge the reveal was leaked and still do their normal promotion and move on.
If you're actually going to buy a game just because a game dev is hurt someone shared a low resolution screenshot of the game, then I'm sure you're one of the sheep these big corporations love.

Re: Review: Close To The Sun - A Poor Imitation Of BioShock That Looks Worse On Switch

RazumikhinPG

@CTmatic Oh don't get me wrong, it's totally a rip-off of Bioshock (sans the fps elements), but that's exactly why I liked and it seemed well executed.
I played a good portion of the intro at EGX and liked how detailed the environments were, the voice acting and the controls. Didn't seem text heavy, but still with enough optional lore to read through. One thing I noticed tho was how the "puzzles" were very simple, but it could be because it was the intro.
Plenty of games have great intros and then don't live up to the potential, however.

Re: Review: Destiny Connect: Tick-Tock Travelers - A Slow-Paced Starting Point For Genre Newcomers

RazumikhinPG

I'm going to finish it because I really needed a simple game to play (was getting too frustrated with Blasphemous), but boy do I feel like I'm wasting my time lol. Story is crappy, dialogues are boring and childish, main character is annoying af and dresses like an NPC, music is terrible, camera controls are awful (thankfully adjustable via settings menu). It feels like playing a bad PS2 RPG from the discount bin.
Redeeming qualities for me are the fact that the story moves along quickly, I like AI and robots and time traveling. And the fact I needed a simple game to play.

Yay I'll finally be able to claim my reward points for Destiny Connect which I received last week lol
Also, hate that Blasphemous is on sale just a few days after I bought it. There's definitely a lot of games on sale I'm interested.
